Repeating the teaching of Jesus Christ will never prov e anyone wrong. I repeat what He has taught of the law ..

Have you ever actually studied the Old Testament? The New Testament is contained therein.

The first disciples of Jesus learned from those writings for a hundred years....... They, like I and so many others, knew mercy and were graced by the Holy Spirit.

nice try to keep on attempting to bait someone into calling you something negative. if you keep getting proved wrong, try to get them banned.

see this is his problem and his reasoning.

He teaches what Jesus teaches. (even though what he teaches does nto even come CLOSE to what Jesus taught, it is his argument)

there is no discussing anything with a person who thinks they do no wrong.

it is amazing that some cannot accept that when Malachi ends, then a few blank pages, then a single page that says THE NEW TESTAMENT, that starts a new thing, not the old one repackaged.

The law brings a curse, the law brings wrath.

How anyone can say the law can lead us to blessing and lead us to a morally good life is beyond all comprehension.

dI Christ's Gospel as He teaches, He ties the law into salvation, but you do not recognize His teaching for if you did you would not still fear the law, you would understand it.............
I think you both are right. I say that because it all comes down to one's motivation in their obedience to the Law; because they believe they HAVE to in body (for the glory of men), or just simply WANT to in Spirit (for the Glory of God).

From what I see is different is how we are obedient

They teach it is by following the law

We teach it is by following Christ, and learning to love as he love (seek the things of the spirit)

Please allow me to make this simple.

Jesus teaches us that He did not come to destroy thelaw and the prophets.

This is simple, He did not destroy either, nor does He desire
either be destroyed.

He went on to say that He came to fulfill them.

Now for all who believe Him the law is fulfilled, even if they should slip and sin again, for without the law there can be no sin.

He fulfills law for all who believe HIm and these receive mercy and grace providing they behave themselves. That is to say attmpt to be obedient children and not live in sin or sin habitually.

As for you who cannot keep yourselves from mention the 611 laws, Jesus has fulfilled and made passé the majority of them in His teaching and in His actions.

No more temple laws.
No more clena laws.
No more priesthood laws.
No more sacrifice laws.
And any other ceremonial laws...no more.

Do you know what the Temple is now?
The Scrifice?
The priesthood and its High Priest?

Do not come in telling anyone that laws are abolished not giving credit to the words of our Savior, for they are fulfilled in Him, only in Him. You have not taken, stolen a right to tell and teach this.

He went on to say anyone who teaches against the least of these laws will be least in the Kingdom.

Now anyone replying and not having read all of this post......I advise you not to reply. It is impolite if nothing else.

Oh, it is only the curse of the law, death, that is destroyed on the cross...........I am not under the law, but now I understand the law within the framework of my salvation........I live because of Christ's mercy, and His grace., amen.

Again I will let jesus answer the question. Although I doubt you will see what it means.

jesus said it best.

Matt 22: Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’[d] 38 This is the first and great commandment.39 And the second islike it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.[e] 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

all those passages you posted, these are the commands they are talking about.

Jesus LOVED his father completely. And he LOVED all people. even those who were crucifying him, and he told us to walk as he did. I do not need the law to show me that, I just need to learn to love as Jesus loved.
Once again you deflect and ignore the post.

I know you and Eve have both been convinced you don't Need the Instructions of the Word which became Flesh. You can use your love and your instructions, and reject God's Love and His Instructions.

My point is according to God's Words, your "love" is a filthy rag. You are preaching things which are not true in "your" Love. Jesus didn't do this.

I am showing His Love towards you EG. You are rejecting His Love by preaching His Love only condemns. His Love does condemn, but only the wickedness that is in you. Your natural, carnal God hating self is condemned. And that so you can be cleansed, and turn, and repent and follow Him and His instructions, not your own righteousness.

People who preach falsehood like;

"
He taught mercy, love forgiveness,
The law does not teach those things
".

But Jesus said the first and greatest
LAW is to "Love" God.

and again;

"
The Pharisees were trying to "earn" Salvation by following God's Laws"
But Jesus said:

7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

and again;

"The Law isn't for the Christian"
But Jesus said:

Matt. 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Jesus loved those preachers who taught against His Word this way EG.

13
But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

and again;

13 And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

It is you who can not see EG. My strongest desire is that you will "come out of her" which has snared you and let the true Jesus set you free.

A particular user loves to scream, and belittles people by making it look like they do not understand him, When we understand him completely

here is the truth

1. Jesus did not come to destroy the law, he came to fulfill it (Because we can not fulfill it ourselves)

2. Jesus fulfilled it by being sinless. No other man has kept this part of the condition of the law (deut/gal both say the law curses whoever is under it, because who ever does not keep every word, and obey it, is under a curse, As james said, even the smallest sin makes a person guilty of the law)

3. Jesus fulfilled the sacrificial aspect of the law by becoming the lamb of God who was slaughtered for the sins of the people

4. Jesus did NOT come to show people they could not keep it (see the sermon on the mount) and offer himself up to take the curse in our place. only to tell us to go keep it. He is not going to contradict himself

5. Jesus told us how to live moral lives, He did not say follow the law. He said love the lord your God and ALL PEOPLE (even your enemy)

6. These people who want to push law have no comprehension of the law. Or an understanding of what the purpose of the law was. Again, The lae brings WRATH to whoever is under it, and anyone who is under the law is CURSED because NO ONE has kept it perfectly without 1 sin. NO ONE!

Sorry if i appear to be screaming, Blame JJ,, I am just countering HIS SCREAM

Dude I AM SICK OF YOUR BULL. and your twisting of everything people say, I am sorry, But no, we are not doing it YOUR WAY..

you posted all these verses that said those who love God obey his commands an the like. I showed you where JESUS himself said HOW WE OBEY THOSE COMMANDS.

You have not refuted them ( you could not if you tried) Yet you insist to push law.

Get over it..

19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I (The Word which became Flesh) have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God,(first and Greatest Commandment in the Law) and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

It's all there EG, all you have to do is humble yourself to it.

Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Are you no longer under Temple laws? Why not?
Are you no longer under Sacrifice laws? Why not?
Are you no longer under Ceremonial laws? Why not?

Because the Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled ALL THE LAW.

Not just your least favorite ones. ALL OF IT.

If you go back to your own understanding of His Spiritual Law and attempt to work at it in the carnal understanding of your own will and strength then you go back to bondage. You go back to the yoke that you are unable to carry.

Which is perfectly fine. If that's what you want to do then do it. Do it as well as you are able. But do not deceive yourself. Don't think that your best performance is more than good enough, because its not. The performance that you must match is to be perfect like God is Perfect.

Don't think that because you are at least trying to obey the law that you are obedient to it. You aren't. You can't. Your only hope in obeying any law is to Rest in Christ by faith.

The only reason that lawyers and judaizers don't understand this is because they can't understand it. It has not been given to them.

2 Corinthians 3:14
But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.

What are we told by Paul?

Galatians 5:1
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

And Peter?

2 Peter 3:17-18
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Yep it is all there

1. Love the lord Your god with all your heart mind and soul
2. love your neighbor as yourself

IN THESE CONTAIN ALL THE LAW AND PROPHETS.

Thew law fulfilled its purpose in leading me to Christ, Now that I have found Christ, I want to be LIKE Christ, WHo lived his life with those TWO commands as his purpose. and in doing so, NEVER broke one command found in mosaic law or any other law.

He is our example. And that is the way I will follow

Its all there Studyman, all you have to do is HUMBLE yourself to see it (and live up to your namesake)

by the way, Abraham Issac and Jacob never had the law. yet they obeyed Gods commands. How? They learned to TRUST GOD and love as he loves. They did not need no law to show them how to love others.. The law could not do that anyway, all it can possibly do is tell you how much you fall short. which is its purpose.

even though most likely 99% of the people who read his post would see it just as grandpa did.

As much as I'd like to respond to both of you Studyman and what is it? EG (for eternally-grateful), I don't know how. :(

I read this phrase in one of these forums and it struck me as Good (as I have no idea who said it, I'm unable to properly credit the individual): Christianity doesn't stop at salvation; that's just the beginning - the beginning of our personal relationship, new life, & walk with Christ. Obedience is crucial to that relationship, the nurturing, & growing thereof. We have our part to do. It's our turn. He's done His Part, & so very much more. Obedience...heck, even willing to, if not wanting to.. is, I believe, is a Gift from God.

So, while obedience to God's Commands
(the Law, if you will) is not a condition of salvation, there is no question it is for a True, Good, & Right relationship with the Lord Almighty. :)

Thanks!

I should bear in mind always how Jesus said to the pharisees, having eyes you will not see and ears you will not hear.

If he told us in plain words and some do not understand, how can they claim to understand dark sayings and parables?

Yet, they interpret all of th Word as though they have the ability to edit God, with no understanding

And again, I think the problem is the root of where obedience comes from

People like Studyman and JJ push that it is by following mosaic law.

People like me push that it is by seeking after the things of the spirit, by learning the two commands or as I call it the law of Love (Love God and everyone else)

yet if we say this, people like JJ or Studyman claim we are excusing our sin, and living greasy grace lives where we fell obedience is just a second though, which is far from the truth.

If you look closely, you will see this is the root of the discussion between the two sides
