The Lord has shown me that Harry Potter - the movie and especially the books, are a definite enticement from the dark side to lure in and desensitise people (especially the youth for they are more vulnerable by their impressionability) into not only witchcraft itself, but also into some of other dark occult arts as well, which are expressly forbidden by God the Father in the Bible.

I agree with you about Harry Potter. This kind of garbage is best to be avoided. You provided a very good verse dealing with this.

Yes, God accepts us as we are. He is the one that will do any cleaning up, from the inside out. It doesn't matter that you waited so long. My wife didn't understand about salvation until she was 56 years old. She spent years trying to clean up. Then one day it was explained to her in terms that she could understand. She said that she cried like a baby when she finally realized her salvation. It was a happy day for her.​

I wasted a lot of time trying to do certain things to 'receive salvation'

Oh, I did not mean to spoil it for you

My daughter's dad's family has always had a dog or two in the house. The creamy curly one is part poodle, part Cavalier King Charles, and cries when I show up for my weekly visit, she is so happy to see me, and then everyone else is like, what the heck? How come we never get that kind of a greeting??? Haha She turned six recently. The red tri is a mini Aussie Shepherd. My daughter knew exactly what kind of dog she wanted, and looked and looked before she found one close enough geographically. In the last few years they have become more popular and so more widely available, and they no longer dock the tails, either, though it may be a good thing that this dog's tail is docked, because her hind end wiggles so much when she is happy that it is hilarious and also almost non-stop

Hehe dogs are just awesome. Can't wait to have another. Such great characters

Im so happy to hear you say this sister I've been in some battles over these things with people not seeing the subtle danger in. Marcia Montengero and Birgit Kjos wrote some books on these issues that are very good regarding books and movies.... The Lord showed me too, even though my brother and sister kept raving about Harry Potter. Witchcraft is really awful, and God truly hates it. In fact a scripture has been coming up throughout winter Micah 5:12.. So God Most High will stop witchcraft!!
Been strong in my life lately to pray against witchcraft, it's very sneaky. People are actually practicing it!! Some not realising the danger. The only spirit we should have in out lives, is Holy Spirit. Jesus bless you for being in agreement with The Word and with Our Father in Heaven

The thing with Harry Potter which makes it more dangerous than some of the other movies and books is that it teaches children 'how to' perform Witchcraft - how to cast spells - and it emphasises that supernatural power is real and that you can learn how to tap into it, and though it may all sound like innocent fun - it aint - and God gives us His extreme warning never to go there. When God uses the word 'abomination' - we don't take that lightly - we take that as an extreme danger alert! Engage in those new age practices and you're engaging with the devil - it's an open door of invitation!

I had to get dressed today I usually put on my PJs as soon as I get home from work, in order to keep my outdoor clothing as free of cat fur hair as possible. My cat is a sweetie, but very furry/fluffy. I have noticed of late that her face looks darker. She is a rescue kittie, but definitely of the Blue Point line, which is an Asian breed similar to Siamese, though NOT Siamese, coffee and cream if you will. Not white and black, no, not chocolate, more a dark grey overlaid on her creamy coat. Here is a picture of her from a couple of years ago. Maybe more like three years ago. Hmmm, I guess I have had her for almost four years now

So I thought I would open the Bible a Christian friend had given me for my birthday six years earlier, to see if some random verse could provide an answer to me, random, um, yeah, but I made sure to open the book near to the end so I could avoid all he fire and brimstone stuff, but I go fire and brimstone anyways. I laugh now to remember that.... it was soooooooooo NOT what I wanted to hear at the time, but exactly what I needed to hear

It's my First time coming back online after a few years so although I'm stronger in The Lord now, I'm a bit hesitant to jump in and point out wrong things. Hey -no need to apologise lol - what you sayin' sista??! Nothing to apologise about (((HUGS))) We speak about things as we're led to - God leads us each in different ways - I was very strongly led to speak up about it just then - that's why I did. I have stayed quiet before as I was not led to say anything. Lol. There's a time for everything!

Adding - I know that there are some peeps who won't want to read this either lol - but I am directed by the Lord to follow His leadings on this today. Must be obedient to His promptings!

Even back in 1998, when I was with a troubled guy and I needed to get away from him, I was walking throughout park and spoke up to the sky, God, if you're there, please please help me... Walked a bit further, saw something sticking out in a bush, went to see what it was, it was a New Testament!!!
That greatly impacted me, I thought well God must be there then...
Still took me a long time to surrender.. Best thing I ever did!!! Thanks for being Joyful for me, that greatly encourages me to know you're happy with me, Thankyou. Being saved is the most Important decision a person can make, I believe.

Walked a bit further, saw something sticking out in a bush, went to see what it was, it was a New Testament!!!
