The strange thing about those that say we should keep the law Is that although they say we should accept and keep the law they don’t keep the law the way moses said they should and the bible says work can not be mixed with grace and remain perfect and since GOD will only accept perfection aren’t they trying to mix law with grace?

If you are brought from under the curse of the law, then you cannot be a part of the law. That declaration and promise is made by God, not man. Only sinners are under the law, and those that live by it are sinners. They have let you know that they live by the law.

Because if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror, for he looks at himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what he was like. But he that looked into the perfect Law of liberty, and continues in it, not becoming a hearer that forgets, but a doer of work, this one shall be blessed in his doing.”

James 2:8-12, “If you truly accomplish the sovereign Law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself, (Lev 19:18) you do well, but if you show partiality, you commit sin, being found guilty by the Law as transgressors. For whoever shall guard all the Law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” (Exo 20:14) also said, “Do not murder.” (Exo 20:13) Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of Law. So speak and so do as those who are to be judged by the Law of liberty.”

I'm more interested in watching HeRoseFromTheDead take you to school.
You need to keep the law regarding not hating. It's your responsibility as someone who says they believe.

Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself.'-Leviticus 19:18

Holding grudges, and taking revenge to hurt people do not come from the Spirit of God.

Faith upholds the law. If you can't obey this law then you may not be born again.

Only if the reason they are trying to keep the law is to be justified by the law.

Messianic believers aren't trying to mix law and grace any more than you are when you only keep part of the law.

I think you have it completely inverted. The church is in the state it's in because it would rather (pretend to) follow the law of Moses than obey the voice of the living GOD (law).
I don't know what rock you live under but the church is hardly noted for keeping of the law, or for even trying. It's quite the opposite.

It is very difficult to get through to grace-only folks that in their great love for us all they are keeping the laws that are being fulfilled in them.........they think they received grace and that is it.

Salvation is by grace only, but life after salvationis obeying our Dad..............If you do not believe inobeying your Hevenly Father then
you are not in His will. Do you ever pray "Thy will be done?"

Either we are under the law of Moses or we are not. This kind of teaching just sows confusion.

 • "We're not under the law, but we have to follow it."
 • "We're dead to the law, but we have to follow it"
 • "The law's been abolished, but we have to follow it"
This falls in the category of a 'fine sounding argument'. Sounds true and logical but means nothing in the face of knowledge. It's like saying "metal can't float on water!" At first the argument sounds rational and true. But with a little knowledge we know metal can float on water.

The problem you and the church are having is you do not know what Paul says in context that 'not under the law' actually means. It does not mean you no longer have to follow any of it's dictates. Just the simple fact that he said faith upholds the law of Moses shows us that is not what no longer being under the law means.

No longer being under the law means not being under the condemnation of the law.

Not being under the law means no longer being aroused to sin by the law.

Not being under the law means various things like animal sacrifices don't have to be done anymore to be justified.

Not being under the law anymore means having a new way to keep the law and serve God instead of the old way of the written word alone.

No where will you find in scripture that not being under the law means not having to do anything in the law of Moses anymore. Quite the opposite. Paul said faith UPHOLDS the law of Moses.

They sure like to boast in it and hold it up to high regard, though, don't they?
That is how many perceive the reason for their law keeping.

And I think it's because those who perceive their law keeping that way are feeling condemned by their own lack of obedience. Just my opinion.

Galatians 3:10
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

You mean place yourself back under the curse?

I understand that you think you don't mix law with grace because you are not attempting to be justified by the law (what a load of junk that is btw) but how do you get around Galatians 3:10???

Do you just ignore it? Or do you think it doesn't apply to you because you can just say "we aren't trying to be justified by it"?

If you weren't trying to be justified by it why would you tell other people that they have to keep it?

If it doesn't justify you then why do you argue for it so much?

We're not trying to be justified by it... what a silly phrase for a judaizer or legalist to say. Then why do it? There's no point if you aren't justified by it. Do what you are justified by.

Obedience to whom? Moses or Jesus?

The law Is not made for the righteous but for those who are to be righteous In their own strength and they are already condemned because of the weakness of their flesh they will see another law warring against their minds and bringing them Into captivity to the law of sin.So then who shall deliver us from the body of THIS death.

You see JESUS was the LAMB of GOD so that we would not have to pay the penelty of sin.sin was dealt with and the Issue Is now FAITH.

No, obeying God's commands is not putting yourself back under the curse. You are to obey God's commands because that's what saved people were saved to do, and if they don't they are ultimately showing themselves to not be saved.

If you weren't trying to be justified by it why would you tell other people that they have to keep it?

Because that's what saved people do and were saved to do. If they don't then they are ultimately showing themselves to not be saved.

The disobedient Christian is at best cutting himself off from manifest fellowship with Jesus, and at worst showing himself to not be the Christian he claims he is.

No, the law is not made for therighteous for the righteous do not purposely break it, yet the righteous obey the law.

No one may say in truth it is fine to sin when we are saved by grace. They may say in truth our Mediator, Jesus christ, is always sthere for us so that God does not count against us teh guilt of our sins.

After Jesus christ fulfiled amost all of the laws those that remain are those of mercy, justice and faith, and the are included in love.

Those laws of love thrown around are, after all, laws....think about all of this.

The law was added because of adams transgression meaning that man would have to keep the law perfectly and he would need to know what GOD’s perfect standard of righteousness was,but because of the weakness of the flesh man would want to keep the law but would be brought Into captivity to the law of sin.JESUS kept the law on behalf of man and died on the cross satisfying the demand of the law,the law says If you do this or that against what It says, you will have to pay by death but we were not able to keep GOD’s perfect standard of righteousness perfectly so then we were already condemned after adam fell because of the weakness of the flesh.

JESUS made a way for us all HE had mercy on man who would have never been able to fulfill the law perfectly In any way that GOD would accept and now the Issue Is FAITH.

GRACE and TRUTH came by JESUS.

Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself.'-Leviticus 19:18

Under law,how would anyone be able to love their neighbor In any way that GOD would accept?
