The image does not show up. I wonder how you are entering it? Is the link you post at the same time as the image (x-in-a-box), the link you insert into the image app? Because that is the wrong link. The link you need to insert into the image app appears on the page AFTER you go to that first page. That page has the image on it after you have searched for it, but you need to click the image to go to the next page, where the proper link is. Thee link shows up on the right hand side of the second page, beside the image, when you click Copy Link.

Yah that's true - good purpley instructions there beautiful! :)

Or rather, I meant to say, the place to get the proper link is along the right hand side of the image after you go to that second page, after clicking the image on the first page. When you click on the Copy Link, another app opens up with various urls in it. The url for the gif is the second one in the list of about four. That is the url you enter into the CC image app

You got a lot of tech savvy that's for sho. Tomorrow I am going to follow your detailed instructions and see if I can insert one of those little moving pictures in a post. I would do it now but I'm a little tired. It will be a fun project and I'm looking forward to it.

Magenta,

In the past, I have been just "right click" on image on first page, then select "copy image," then back to CC thread and "paste" on my post. With this, some could see it, however, you and tourist could not see it - just a black box.

So, now I'm still doing the same thing but, also "right clicking" and selecting "copy image address," then back to cc thread and "paste" to post.

So, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong..... I'm definitely doing something wrong. Help!!

Do you ever have any problems seeing AuntiAnts gifs? How does she do it?

gifs are soooooo much fun! I really want to learn how to do them correctly! :)

Me too!!! I feel tech challenged. I'm a fairly intelligent guy, got some college, so I should be able to figure this out. What's a gif? Is that Australian for giraffe? I really don't know anything....:) :) :)

Bingo!! I think I found my mistake! It has something to do with the "CC image app." I'm just "pasting." I need to "enter it into the "CC image app."

That's incredible that you figured out how to do this. I will miss the little black boxes though. Incredible. Amazing.
I think the Samoan Sunset drinks helped a bit! LOL!

Those instructions are custom detailed for a specific image host, called giphy.com. They have many gifs there, sorted into various categories. The first page that opens on giphy with the image on it, has just the image but is not giving you a proper image link. To get the image url, you must click the image to go to the next page, where the url is gotten after clicking on the Copy Link link. I was mistaken earlier because it is that second page that has all the other stuff on it.

It can sound complicated, but it isn't really :D

^^ See the difference between these two urls? The first is the link Lafftur gave. It is not an image link. The second one is the url to the image Lafftur was trying to post. The image url must always end with .gif or .jpg or .jpeg or .png
