I’m so sorry for your loss, friend. My heart goes out to you at this time. Though I don’t have words to convey my care and concern over the pain which you shared, I said a prayer for you, asking God to surround you with His comfort and heal you whenever you hurt. I’d suggest that you talk to a grief counselor. Please know that you can always come here for prayer and support. I know it’s not easy, but stay strong. Sending prayers your way!
Hi brother in Christ. Just a short message to send condolences and love. I know how you are at this time as I too lost my wife at the age of 42. Take heart in the knowledge that the pain you feel is your pain not hers. I was devastated, as I am sure you are.
I was blessed by the fact that I had been, unwittingly, prepared for it spiritually but not physically. Hold fast to the truth and your faith. Remember God is love and does nothing bad to any of His children. He gave His life for us so that we could enjoy life with Him for eternity. Your wife and mine just got there before we did. Bless you

We thank BillG for letting us know that your wife passed away. That gives us an opportunity to call upon the Lord to comfort you, and as you see, many will be doing that. Prayer is a powerful process that can access God and God is always looking to be a comforter to the afflicted.
I also wanted you to know that your wife, though her body is in the grave, her spirit lives on and is in heaven. We cannot imagine what heaven is like, but I have a feeling that it is a lot more beautiful than this earth. And so your wife is in a very good place, and only a small amount of time will pass before you meet her again and can enjoy her presence.
So we pray for peace and comfort to be with you at this time. God bless.

My pastor says he knows a councilor who will speak to me free of charge.
Im making an appointment to see a mental health professional. I have OCD related anxiety and it often helped me calm down to call her if something had upset me. Or sometimes I would call just to tell her something funny that had happened. Even though we were separated, I still called her at least 3 times a day. Precious brother...Your beautiful wife is now living in the promises of our Faithful Father God , who has told us that there is no more pain , sickness nor disease in our heavenly Kingdom...When your wife passed , the first one she saw was Jesus

My husband and I started dating in 1973, got married in 1976, and he passed away in 2014. He and I were very close and I never stressed. If I was anxious, he'd point me to God and that calmed my nerves. About a year after he passed, I had an anxiety attack. I had never experienced anything like that in my life. My blood pressure was through the roof and my heart was pounding. I couldn't calm myself down. I went to the ER and they explained I was having an anxiety attack. I finally got settled and have never another episode since then.
I hold the time we had together in my heart and thank God for each moment He gave us. God blessed us so much as we grew together in the Lord. I have always thought that the hurt we feel in our hearts when someone passes is a testament to how loved that person was in his or her lifetime. It's okay to cry when you are overwhelmed with sorrow.
One time, I saw a man walking across the street and he had shoes on like the shoes my husband used to wear, and I just started crying right there in my car.
Another time, I told myself I wished I could wash his clothes again. I was remembering how upset I would get because my husband spilled something on his shirt (a daily occurrence) and I had to work on it to get the stain out. My husband once told me he loved the way I washed his clothes.
Yeah … it gets tough at times as certain things just ping our memory and we recall times we had with our loved ones.
And we can always remember, as people have posted in this thread, that the next time we see our loved one, he or she will be whole … no longer in pain, no longer suffering. We will have eternity to joy and rejoice together again before Father God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Hope/pray this day finds you well, even in the midst of your sorrow.
