I won the bet! Of course the odds were 18 to 1 so the payout wasn't much, but a win is a win! :cool:

(For those of you who read this and don't understand, don't worry. It's not important anyway.)

I think it's pretty disgusting that you would turn someone's pain into an opportunity to gamble and then boast about it. I hope you are proud of yourself...... And you actually call yourself a MINISTER? Wow.

It's not whether you win or lose it's whether you win, lose or show. 18 to 1 odds. That's a very decent return on your investment.

No, that is backward. It was such a sure bet that the odds were 18 to 1 in favor... You risk $18 and if you win you get 18 plus one back.

I can relate to this. He probably didn’t mean no harm, but I’ve left this site on several occasions, and I for sure would’ve have been sad if somebody’s going to be placing bets on whether I was going to return or not.

This is... unfortunate.

First, and again, nobody placed any bets. Or at least I'm not aware of any bets being placed.

In most forums I have seen there is always a small group of people who will occasionally say they are going to leave, then return after a very brief time. In this forum zeroturbulence is part of this group. I have observed him leave and return multiple times. I even remember one thread labeled toodloo or something like that, where I read the thread title and made a guess that zero was leaving, and he said I was very perceptive.

So when zero said he was leaving again, I guessed he would be back soon. When it turned out I was right, I tried to make the observation that I had predicted as much, but I couched it in a jocular tone by phrasing it as betting odds. It seems this did not work out very well.

Again, to my knowledge no actual bets were placed. I was just making an observation that I had predicted to myself that zero would return soon.

Clear as mud?

Look, its obvious that you have absolutely no regard for my well-being or you would have apologized instead of mansplaining yourself like you just did, so do yourself a favor and give it a rest. What's clear as mud is where you stand on my list! So please get off my thread and stay off! This thread is for people who care!
