Gen 3:16 . . and he shall rule over you.

That is probably one of the most hated verses in the whole Bible. Eve's
daughters do not like to be subjugated to and/or dominated by men. It
really goes against their grain; and if the women's suffrage movement that
took place in America's early 1900's were to be thoroughly analyzed, it
would not surprise me that women's right to vote wasn't really an equality
issue: it was a rebellion against male domination; which of course is to be
expected in a world gone mad with evil.

The current "strong woman" attitude is no doubt another aspect of that
same kind of rebellion; which in reality is not only a standing up to men, but
also a standing up to God seeing as how Gen 3:16 is a divine order rather
than human.

Gen 3:16 isn't restricted to marriage. It regulates women's place in Christian
churches too-- all Christian churches.

"As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the
churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the
Law says." (1Cor 14:33-35)

"Let a woman quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness. I do not
allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain
quiet." (1Tim 2:11-15)

How long the Adams cohabited sans the imposition of a gender hierarchy
isn't stated; but apparently there was no evident need for it prior to the
forbidden fruit incident; just as there was no evident need of a suitable
companion for Adam till he failed to find one from among the animal
kingdom.

My guess is that the measure is mostly to discourage wives from making
life-changing decisions on their own, independent of their husband's feelings
about it. I mean; if Eve had first consulted with her husband to see what he
thought of the Serpent's discussion before tasting the fruit, things may have
turned out quite differently.

Your interpretation of Genesis 3:16 affects everything else you wrote.

Re-read Genesis 3, and determine if God is giving a "divine order" that women shall give birth in pain (no epidurals for godly women!), men must fight thorns and thistles while growing food crops (clean them out and you're sinning), or must eat bread with sweat on their faces.

Then try reading it as though it is a statement of certain consequence--not something that God wants to happen, but something that, as a result of the introduction of sin, will happen. Then rethink your entire thesis.

Also, he needs to research the authenticity of 1 Cor 14:34-35.

1Pet 3:7b . . giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel,

The koiné Greek word for "honor" is time (tee-may') which means: a value,
i.e. money paid.

The word for "weaker" is asthenes (as-then-ace') which means: having no
strength, i.e. fragile.

And the word for "vessel" is skeuos (skyoo'-os) which can indicate anything
from a soup bowl to a file cabinet or a cardboard box; in other words: a
container.

Peter isn't saying women are physically weaker than men; but that Christian
husbands should exercise the same care with their wives as they would a
fragile antique worth thousands of dollars like, say, a Ming vase. Nobody in
their right mind handles a Ming vase like a farmer handles a 5-gallon bucket.
Not that some women couldn't endure that kind of handling; it's just that its
unbecoming for a Christian man to treat his Christian wife as if she has little
more value than a paper cup.

This Ming-vase value isn't an intrinsic value, nor is it a deserved value
either; but rather, it's a gratuitous value. In other words: Christ commands
Christian husbands to categorize their wives up there with Dresden china
even if she's as rugged and tough as a female cop and/or a UFC mixed
martial artist the likes of Rhonda Rousey-- and this is not optional; no, it's
not an option; it's an order.

That said, let me say this: Christian wives could make it a lots easier for
their Christian husbands to comply with Peter's instructions if they would but
avoid the "strong woman" trend and have nothing to do with it.

1Pet 3:4 . . You should be known for the beauty that comes from within,
the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.

Matt 5:9 . . Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of
God.

Eph 6:10 . . Be strong in The Lord, and in His mighty power.

I'm pretty sure it's safe to assume were not talking about Christian women
taking up weapons like Joan of Arc.

Strength and power for Christian women are found not in war and muscle
and/or political clout; rather, in the Spirit; for example:

Gal 5:22-23 . .The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Christian women lacking those attributes are really no more strong and/or
empowered than non Christian women; they're worldly, walking in the flesh
instead of walking in the Spirit like they're supposed to.

Gal 5:25 . . If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

This is all relevant to men as well as women. Singling out women and addressing them with verses intended for the entire church is inappropriate.

You have posted twice without responding at all to my post. Is there a good reason why you haven't responded?

Marriage is a partnership between Husband and Wife or at least it should be.
Your attitude belongs to the dark ages. Even in Pauls time there were women who
were running businesses and in positions of authority. Lydia ran a business and
Priscilla was used in spreading the gospel along with her husband. Other Christian
women opened their homes for meetings and worship.

Some people who quote Paul use his words as an excuse to dominate and abuse
women. In any case women in positions of leadership are essential in cases where
it is not appropriate for a woman to consult a man regarding her particular concerns.
They are also at times better in the teaching and care of Children.

The idea that being taught by a woman is illogical. One should
be careful to check out whatever anyone teaches you. Gender has nothing to do
with it. As for Adam and Eve well Adam was the spiritual head of creation at that time
he was stupid enough to not only listen to Eve but to copy her as well so if Eve consulted
her Husband first would it have made any difference to the outcome? What they should both
have done is consult God

Women are not a protected species. I'd be willing to bet there will be just as many, if not more, women cast into the lake of brimstone depicted at Rev 20:11-15 as men because Christianity's God is not partial. The soul that sins shall die regardless of it's race, color, or gender.

FYI: Heaven is a place of peace. Women infected with a strong personality cannot be allowed to go there; it wouldn't be fair to the others. And besides; strong women wouldn't fit in anyway; they'd be a fish out of water.

Try again. I'm awaiting a response to my first post in this thread.

Men are not a protected species. You took passages addressed to Christians generally and applied them to women specifically. Men infected with "strong personalities" as you call them will be equally excluded from heaven. Of course, if you are really as sexist as your posts so far indicate, you would not believe that.

I take it you don’t like women very much.

That’s a pity because Jesus did, he went out of his was to reach out to
women and speak up for them. You might also want to look at these verses.
We are all one in Christ.

A Godly strong man sure of who he is in Christ, would not feel the need
to try to belittle women.

Galatians 3:26-28 NKJV
[26] For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. [27] For as
many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. [28] There
is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither
male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Gen 3:16 .... we have horrible birth pains, our desire is to be with our husband, and he will rule over us. .... (Mae paraphrase)...

And it is ALL TRUE!!!!

The only pain (so they say) a man can feel as close to "natural" (20-21st century medications not so true) is a man peeing out a gallstone. And it's usually women more in love, and longing for their husbands than their husbands them. And if that woman is a woman of G-d her husband is the head of the house.... NOT ALMIGHTY G-D.... HE NEEDS TO LOVE HER LIKE MESSIAH LOVES THE CHURCH.... AND MESSIAH DIED FOR IT!!!!!

Nevertheless, G-d created great strong women and even backed us up with His very Word!!! Look at Bebra who G-d made judge over His people because of her wisdom in battle. He gave Philip 4 daughters who prophesied and Lydia who was diligent in business, a seller of purple...

As a woman, I personally believe if she doesn't want a man to be the head of her she should not marry, just like Paul says. G-d mad us BRILLIANT and WISE... But the truth is G-d is the covering over the pastor, the pastor is the covering over the church. Can women preach? Under the covering of a man. This does not degrade us... it put him in the "hot seat" with G-d not us.... See how G-d protects us!!!!

While I agree with some points of your posts, we are all sinners and we all "would not fit" in heaven. Thats why we are all forgiven in faith in Jesus Christ.

So that a sinner like you, a sinner like me and sinners like "strong women" can get there :)

We wil be transformed to be better persons here in this life through various circumstances or/and after we will be resurrected.

Galatians 3:26-28

It's not uncommon to find skeptics quoting that passage in an effort to
circumvent a gender hierarchy for Christians; but the apostle Paul who wrote
that passage is the same apostle Paul who wrote several other passages
defending, and even insisting upon, a gender hierarchy for Christians. You'd
think people would have better sense than to refute Paul by quoting Paul;
nevertheless I catch them at it all the time.

FYI: Paul's gender hierarchy instructions did not originate with him; they're
Christ's.

1Cor 14:37 . . If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let
him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the
commandments of The Lord.

1Thess 4:1-2 . .We beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by The Lord
Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please
God, so ye would abound more and more. For ye know what commandments
we gave you by The Lord Jesus.

Therefore, people opposing Paul are actually opposing Christ. It's a domino
effect all the way to the top.

Luke 10:16 . .Whoever listens to you; listens to me. Whoever rejects you;
rejects me. And whoever rejects me; rejects the one who sent me.

NOTE: If you're ever curious about a specific woman's spiritual condition;
get her into a discussion about male domination and you'll find out right
quick where she stands with God.

The disturbing scene depicted at Rev 20:11-15 will be presided over by none
other than the sweet little babe away in a manger.

John 5:21-23 . . Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all
judgment to the Son

Acts 17:31 . . He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice
by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by
raising him from the dead.

You skeptical women out there in cyberspace need to keep something in
mind. At the great white throne event, you are going to be judged solely on
the basis of your compliance with God's values rather than yours. And the
man judging you will be neither influenced nor impressed by the silkiness of
your thighs nor the size of your bosoms; no, in point of fact; he will be quite
determined to disfigure them.

Rev 20:15 . . And whosoever's name was not found written in the book of
life was cast into the lake of fire.

In the end, it will be the sweet, gentle, turn-the-other-cheek Jesus who
condemns thousands of women to a mode of death akin to a foundry worker
falling into a kettle of molten iron, thus permanently ruining any chances
they might have had for happiness in the future. For all eternity, condemned
man-hating females will grind their teeth with hot tears and white-knuckled
fury that they ultimately lost out on everything because of male domination
imposed to the max.

Luke 12:4-5 . . I say unto you my friends: Be not afraid of them that kill
the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn
you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to
cast into hell; yea, I say unto you: Fear him.

The "him" to fear in Christ's statement turns out to be him. That's amazing
when you think about it. Jesus was so harmless, so kind, and so helpful
when he was here. The contrast between that Jesus and the Jesus destined
to judge the world, is alarming.

Rev 19:15 . . He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God
Almighty.
