This morning has been tough so far.
Less than a week into a new round of my health program, I've already fallen off the wagon.
I just finished a Chick-fil-A sandwich and fries. Last night I had Mexican.
After hitting the 30-pounds-lost mark, I've had several stops and starts. I've gained several pounds and lost several pounds more than once.
I need to lose 80-100 pounds more. Yes, I'm that heavy.
I can do this. I know I can.
I need to find replacements for food. Right now it's still too much of a reward/comfort for me. I lack romantic love in my life, and I lack affection.
I know God loves me, but I long for touch and human affection.
This makes it difficult to feel fulfilled in life. It's like there's a vacuum in part of my life that food is filling, and when I try to take it away my heart and body rebel.
I'm dealing with a lot of mental negativity today (thoughts like I don't care anymore, etc.). My heart is holding a lot of grief. I don't feel valued or treasured by any human. And I don't think I ever have.
It's a strange thing to have a heart that's starved and a body that's obese.
Help me out of the pit, Lord.

#1. Drink carrot juice 100% natural. Not sweetened. That will give you lots of energy believe me. And drink that as much as you can. That will also melt the pounds away you’re gonna feel the difference. Carrot juice. Also buy a dog or a cat. Or look for someone at church.

Thanks for your suggestions! Sorry for the delayed response. I haven't logged in for awhile. :) I would have never thought of carrot juice.

Just don’t drink a lot at once. Try a little bit so you won’t lose your sleep.

Comfort eating is one of the leading problems for weight gain and diet. Diet is a four letter word. Because they never take permanently. The body being deprived of what it enjoyed for so long starts to suffer withdrawal. And sooner or later the dieter caves to the pull to eat what the body wants.

When you are heavy the heart has to overload its work effort to keep your body up and running. Processed foods stress and strain the heart. Go to your fridge and take out your favorite manufactured food. Look the ingredients list up on your computer. There are things the body can't process and that is when the body suffers.

If you really want to diet get a blood test first. Your personal physician will know what the tests are called. There's one for food allergies. Yes, we can be allergic to food. If you sneeze shortly after you start eating that can be a symptom of allergic reaction.
That's why prior to a blood test you can journal and maybe learn on your own what you're allergic to. Eat one thing on your plate at the start.
Keep a journal when you start your diet. Start the process of elimination of what you are allergic to by eating one thing on your plate at the start of your meal. If you sneeze within the first few minutes that can be an indicator of allergy reaction. Write down what you were eating and note there that you sneezed.
Move to the second thing on your plate and repeat that process until you've tested everything there.

Do that for every meal and you will narrow down what you are allergic to. Allergy can be a cause of weight gain too. Some weight gain is fluid. And some is due to having poor elimination. You know, going #2.
If you do suffer that try room temperature prune juice. Eat fiber foods. Dates, plums, raisins, cantaloupe, you can look up the other stuff that is fiber food.
Drink lots of water. This is very important. Do not drink a lot of fluids when you eat. Sip very little. Because when you first start eating your stomach releases digestive enzymes to break down the food that is to come. If you put a lot of water in your stomach those enzymes float in that soup like atmosphere in your stomach. They can't properly attach to the foods you are eating so as to break them down and give you their nutrients. That is how a lot of people gain weight. The process of consumption and elimination are uneven.

Food allergy aside the best way to diet is to eat what you love to eat. The trick to losing weight isn't really a trick at all. Burn more calories than you eat and you'll drop weight. Exercise! But stretch first.

I think losing weight is very do-able, if one is devoted to eating only healthy foods (e.g. nothing with added sugar). Once you have a good diet, your body doesn't crave food so much. You could even find it possible to skip meals, even for days at a time (fasting), without ever getting really hungry. It takes a while to change your eating style. (Sadly, everyone around you is plotting to sabotage your wight-loss efforts. )

Even thought I think it's very do-able to lose weight just by eating better, I think, realistically, most people should get help. I mean drugs. In a drug-obsessed culture, I'm really surprised that drugs are used more often for weight loss.

I am seeing a weight loss specialist in the Gastro dept. of my hospital. It is great and she is helping me with my goal in losing about 50lbs. The main thing is avoiding the white rice and white potatoes. Eating meats and veggies. I still eat bread, but there are only a few healthy brands. Dave's Organic bread is one of them. I have already lost 11lbs in a week and a half. It is possible. Just don't give up. You have to be determined to do it. I totally avoid fast food restaurants. I bought a Instant Pot and it is marvelous for cooking meats in a fraction of the time. I make a 4lb. pot roast and veggies in 50minutes. Get some cooking accessories for your home. A crock pot of course is very inexpensive if you can't afford an Instant Pot. It is better to eat 3 meals or even 4 small meals than two meals. Also check out the Military Diet on Youtube to jumpstart your diet. I lost 4lbs with that diet in 2days. It really works.

Yeah, those fries will really kill your diet and the bread on the sandwich is bad too. If you have to eat at Chick-Fil-A then just eat the chicken out of the sandwich(or get the grilled one) and eat a salad with it.

Food does fill that gap of love for alot of people. I live by myself so it is hard to battle eating out. I struggle with looking at my old pics of when I was skinny all the time. I am going to do this and I know I can. Yes,you ate out twice, but I just went out tonight and ate a 35 fried shrimp dinner special at Miller's Ale House. I didn't eat all 35 shrimp, but I did eat about 22 of them with a baked potato. It is OK though. I am going to hit my Military Diet in the morning and eat my peanut butter on bread with a half a grapefruit and I will be on track again. See it is isn't over. You just have to keep on going. Don't give up.
