Some Evangelicals don't want to investigate the Truth. they want you to join their Born Again religious scam where you will be taught that you are stealing God and won't received blessings if you don't give 10 percent then love offerings then prayer requests. some groups will say that you don't need to do good works but it is not included the giving of 10 percent and other form of collections.
I suspect some Evangelicals here are receiving allowance from their pastors to advertise their faith/criticize Catholics and other non Evangelicals in order to join them.

I was told by a priest that the biggest mistake the Catholic Church made was to give the Bible to the ordinary uneducated people.
He said to understand the Bible correctly one needed to spend many years in seminary. He said all of today's sects and denominations came out from the Catholic Church. He said they were all established by people who failed to understand the scriptures in the right way.
All of this sounds true to a person who has never studied the Bible.
The priest never encouraged us to study the Bible, because it was their job to tell us what it all means. He knew that if I studied the Bible it would expose Roman Catholicism as being Antichrist.
You can't believe what the Bible teaches and also believe what the RCC teaches as they contradict each other.
The Bible says let every man be a liar and let God be true.
But this is all just speculation, or what some men have taught you, unless you have some verses (preferably three). We were told to beware the leaven of men.
From your first post you admitted something astounding. You said that even though you could not find any verses for a lot of what these men were teaching you, it still made the most sense to you.
It's not the word of God you are defending if you have to keep explaining away verses to fit what you've been taught - at that point it's defending the word of men and doing violence to the word of God. (And all denominations do this in some fashion and in some places.)

In the prayer of the Catholics, they refer to Mary as "Mother of God", that is, as the one who begot God. Therefore, she is a goddess.
Moreover, even to one who, in their ignorance, they can not perceive this, but supposes that they are considering Mary as a mere intermediary, then she is occupying the place of Christ in their life, since there is only one mediator between God and men : Christ the Man (1Tim 2.5).
The Protestant Churches have found too many problems with the Catholic church. I couldn't remain in a Church which had so many accusations against it.
Some of the problems are it's teaching about celibacy and Priests and Nuns not getting married, the Bible says it's not good for man to be alone. Maybe those pedophile priests became that way because they weren't allowed to get married so the Church should take some of the blame.

Let's just admit that Christianity is a pretty complex subject and straight answers don't really exist because of the evident confusion and variety in doctrine, denominations, and faiths...... I swear, you can find an apparent justification for almost all denominations, they can all point in the good book why they are right in believing what they believe.
