My daughter and son-in-law are zealously the NAR Charismatic movement who texted me on Father's day saying I have not earned the right to be honored as her father because honor is earned (honor your father and mother). She then wrote me a letter that her heterodox religion does not effect her salvation after ranting off a list of lies about me and her mother (bearing false witness). This is the problem with a religion which focuses on miracles and spiritual elitism instead of on Jesus and God's Word:
someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth.

Well, unfortunately as parents we can bring our children into the world. But we can't stop the world from eating them up.

Were it me, I'd let my child be consumed by the cult they're in until they realize their mistake. I'd never permit myself to be abused by that one I brought into the world. And I would tell her that to her face.

Don't worry. One day your child will realize she was led astray. In the meantime, ask yourself if you deserve her abuse?
The Bible says we're to have nothing to do with unbelievers.

Your daughter is not in Christ. It is a very sad thing. My deepest sympathies.

She attends a WOF church. The pastor graduated from Lester Sumerall's Bible scholl. Before that she attended a WOF church with her mother in law by me. The mother in law moved them out of state.

Why would a MIL move a couple out of state?
Does your daughter speak with you cordially at all?

I owe them? Tell me what do parents owe their children first before the child needs to obey God's Commandment to honor their father and mother?

Children owe their life to God and their parents. Children honor parents

She contacts you so as to demonstrate she is condemning and judgmental and abusive in delivering that sermon to you by phone.
She was never like this before?
Before getting with her current husband?
Or getting in this new church?

It started after she met this man and his mother. For example, I played electric guitar every time my church asked me. I enjoy it. I worked hard at learning Lynard Skynard's 9 min guitar solo and I posted me playing it for my friends on Facebook. My friends liked it but she makes a comment that I am not glorifying God. The mother in law and my daughter and son in law act like spiritual snobs.

That's very sad. However, you do realize just because she is your daughter does not mean she is entitled to abuse you in such ways.
Your faith and church seems to be taken as an enemy of her own.

You can block her, her husband, and the MIL from your Facebook. This way they don't get to in their minds shame you in public on your own account page there.
Maybe if you do that she'll realize you are not going to allow her to abuse you in that way. And maybe she'll then stop abusing you telephonically.

Have you searched for the particular church they're a member of on-line? To see what that church actually teaches?

I have done all that. I couldn't stand seeing pictures of the mother in law with my 2 yr old grandaughter who has never been to visit me even though we live 10 min away from the mother in law.

Yes, I have watched his sermons. Sometimes I see my daughter with the mother in law in the pews.

Yes. But now the MIL lives part time with them and part time in my state.

I don't want to give out names because there are strange people here like whatev who commente earlier

I understand. If the pastor has a TV show of their sermons likely we'll know them.

She has this backward. The command is given to the child, "Honour your father and mother" and not to the parents, "Earn honour from your children." Don't bother telling her that though... until she repents of her junk.

The word is "affect". "Effect" as a verb means "to bring about". You're correct in one sense though: her heterodox religion does not bring about her salvation! :)

You might want to tell your daughter that. Because she's violating the commands against honoring her mother and father. Which would mean she is not saved.
And why wouldn't you tell the name of this church pastor that is leading your daughter to act hatefully toward you? Doesn't everyone here need to be forewarned?
Who cares what Whatev thinks? Think of the rest of us.
