Good morning. My wife of almost 21 years is leaving me. Have had rough go last 3 years with many factors to cause stress in our relationship. She has never really had a relationship with God, and as much as I know she needs him now, I know she has to turn to him. There hasn't been adultery, we've never even really lied to each other and I guess that's the really sad part is I feel it in my heart that we could be stronger than ever if able to figure out our separate issues,then as a couple. She has issue with alcohol, I guess at this point I'm praying that there would be the right influences to get her to find help. We have a daughter that's 20 and son 17 so thankfully not young children, but still so hurtful for all family involved. Please pray for us

Father God I praise your Holy name!Lord I believe that it is your will that marriages to be for a lifetime. I believe that You will going to restore and strengthen again our brother's marriage. I pray in the name of Jesus that You will bind the work of the enemy from our brother's marriage and cast it away! Lord rekindle their love and make it new and heal the wounds that they caused to each other. Thank you Lord for hearing my prayer in Jesus gracious name! Amen!

There are others here that tell a similar story so please know that you are not alone in this. Hopefully, you will find comfort, support and understanding from the members of this site. Based on your post I would say that your marriage is definitely salvageable and can be even stronger than before. I have said a prayer for restoration for you and your wife. Dear Father GOD in heaven we pray for healing of this relationship and comfort. We realize there is nothing we can do to influence someone's mind when they are in a situation like this. We pray for your presence in this relationship and if it be your will to restore it. Make this situation one that will draw these two back in a closer relationship with you and with each other. Amen
Like has already been said, you are not alone. My story is almost identical with my wife of 21 years. GOD bless we've been together almost 36 now. Trust in GOD to do the right thing. not what we want but what he wants.

Sometimes we don't know what we have until it's gone. Maybe separation is the right thing at this point. It isn't divorce. It is time away so as to figure things out.
It is better to live apart and find peace than to live together and be miserable. God be with you both. God knows what he's doing. Sometimes it is time to move on. And that she's doing this when both your kids are independent age could mean it is something she's wanted for awhile.
Find peace. It will all be OK. Proverbs 25:24

I’m so sorry to hear about your situation, Wayner. This is a hard thing to go through after 21 years of togetherness. Words seem inadequate to convey my care and concern for you. Have you considered talking to a marriage counselor? Do you think that's something that might be helpful for you personally? I just said a prayer for you and your wife, asking God to bring healing and hope to your marriage. I know your situation isn’t easy right now, but stay strong. May God be the strength of your heart and your refuge. Sending prayers & wishing you well.

Thank you littlestars. I spoke to focus on the family councillor over the phone and went to Al-Anon meeting last week. Other than that it's just been immediate family. Luckily my momma is a powerful prayer warrior. I can't imagine people in this world that go thru this without faith.God bless

Lord help them in this situation. Give them the wisdom to make the right decision. Order their steps in your word Lord. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
