I’m rather partial to smoked salmon served with baby new potatoes, sour cream and chive sauce served on a salad. Yum 🙂

Oh and don’t forget the apple crumble with custard for afters. ❤️
I should star eating in your restaurant. :)

It is true - I come from what is commonly called the "Old School" of thinking tanks historically. Where the man opens even the door for a woman out of respect and nurturing. Keep in mind in the old days a man would even lay down his coat in the street if a lady needed to cross a muddy path or get off a horse in inclement weather if need be to protect her clothing. But suffice it to say I am not that "Old School" of a thinker - LOL. :);):geek:...

I answered "other" because I would pay as a man out of respect and even in the good nature of courting as it were - but I also know God does not want us to live doctrinally, but rather spiritually.

Never look for righteousness in the other person, but never cease to be righteous yourself. We are always looking for justice, yet the essence of the teaching of the Sermon on the Mount is - Never look for justice, but never cease to give it. What I mean by this is when dating we need to be careful not to introduce our prejudices as godlinesses and then judge the other based on our doctrines.

If the lady has a Phobia about a man not giving her respect etc etc ... then I am flexible to let her pay - for that would be listening and discerning her needs best. If a woman feels obligated to me because of me paying and then feels uncomfortable and pressured because of it - then I am willing to split the costs to meet her need. If a woman appreciates it and does not see it as anything other than respectfulness and nurturing support - then I am willing to supply as would my role be as a man in the marriage if it ever got that far - a supportive role in the finances in taking care of her and nurturing her as Christ does the Church in loving unconditionally and with support.

The key is living spiritually as well as being a living sacrifice for His name sake in the relationship - then - no matter who pays when and what - it all turns out good - for we love Him first, as we continue to grow in the dating arena.
You will do well if you ever become a husband again because you have the right qualities, patience and determination. You most definitely respect woman, that's for sure.

Pass me some of those goodies - you guys are making me hungry now - LOL :p;):):geek:
Yeah, me too. Wife is cooking dinner right now even as we speak. It is certainly nice to come home from work to a faithful loving supportive wife. Beats being single, I eat better too. When I was single I would usually eat a Hot Pocket and maybe a Moon Pie. No wonder I am underweight. I was depressed a lot and that can suppress your appetite. I actually ate more than what I just said but my meals were quick, easy and simple. Eating right was not a high priority for me. It is now though. Not really depressed anymore either. Generally content and pleased with my life. I attribute this to my wife. She makes it a point to take care of me and is my best friend.

Mm...what about whenever your soon to be husband/wife is invited to your eccentric uncle?

One of my uncles is an eccentric character, and he invited us to his cabin (yes, he’s living in a log cabin) in the Smokey’s.

Now, my uncle, he ain’t the kind of guy that takes no for an answer, so we just had to show up and get ready for whatever he had planned (even though I knew what he’s always treating his guests with), which turned out to be deer and shine lol. He ain’t no metrosexual, red wine sippin’ sissy, he told my soon to be husband, and to be accepted in the family, according to my uncle, he sure d... well had to be a little heavy on the shine... I still recall him telling me “Y’know, girl, I ain’t being cheap, but this stuff ain’t nothing a lady should ever be drinking, so I got you some of that sissy stuff them city folks are pouring down” lol. Like I’d ever even be thinking on drinking that stuff he’s making😂.

Some of the most famous chefs are men.
One of my cousins is a chef he showed me a great tip, when cooking
fresh carrots or peas, add a sweetener to the water, they taste
fantastic and it reduces the calories instead of using sugar.

So anyway I think we’ve all proven, the best date is a cook in. Lol

It's just that we all have so much more experience with food than with dates.

I go to movies by myself. It's ok. Don't have to share popcorn.

I just said all that to make it sound ok.
I rather fight with someone over popcorn.

I used to go to movies alone all the time 15 years ago... It was one of my favorite things to do. But most of the movies now just don't interest me anymore.. and the ones that do don't get me excited enough to see it in a theater so I just rent the dvd and I don't even remember the last time I rented or what it was.

Sounds like me with video games. Playing video games used to be the only thing I did in my free time. But I played for the story and video games these days don't seem to have much of a story... It's all about reflexes or learning a system so you can work it to your advantage. Apparently there are no more new stories to tell.
