Dictionaries are not meant to give you spiritual insight. So please go back to Scripture and see that repentance does mean death to the old self and the old life. Mortifying the flesh means putting the flesh to death. Which is A TOTAL turning away from sins and idols and a turning to Christ.

Why are you not showing me scriptures which says...baptism is not required...as you maintain...do you plan too? If not we can move on. I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt.

I already have shown you in previous posts that baptism is not absolutely required for salvation. Why don’t you show me a Bible verse that says, “whoever is not water baptized will not be saved.”

John 3:18 - He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who (is not water baptized? - NO) does not believe is condemned already, because he has not (been water baptized? - NO) because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John the baptist baptized Jesus who didnt get baptized for repentence..and if that were the case..we'd need to be baptized every time we repented? Baptism is an outward representation of the chamge in our hearts after we recieve Jesus as Lord .it represents the "old man being washed new and made a new creature".. The water symolizes christs blood that was shed and washes us white as snow ;)

Are you talking bout TRIALS BY FIRE meant to purify our charector and faith???


"These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold--though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world"

Anyone who lives like Jesus Christ and follows His Example and dTeaching might be called a leftist though politics does not enter into our faith at all excep as regards our Kindom, our King and His Monarchy.
