NOTE: I accidentally left the word "Date" out of the title. This is about describing the perfect date.

I'd like to know what lurks in the corners of everyone's minds :D Please describe what a perfect date would be for you. Hopefully it won't be sharing a big mac combo at McDonald's....or is it?? How would it start? How would it end? Where would you want your date to take place? You can be anywhere in the world...don't limit yourself to your immediate area. Imagine you were granted the wish to go anywhere on your date.
 
I'm the type that anything would make me happy. Its more the company i'm with. Anything from feeding ducks to a day at a ball game. As long as I'm happy and laughing and just having a good time, thats the perfect date! :)
 
Picnic in the fall. After a hike or trail. End it catching fireflies or fishing. In a multiple group date. I don't go out one-on-one unless in a fully public place.

Funny you should write this thread, as I was thinking about something along these lines the other day (maybe I'm just reminiscing as to what it's like to actually have a date...) :)

I would be the girl who would is perfectly happy scarfing down a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Large Fries, and Large Chocolate Shake... I also love the other ideas that have been posted--a hike, picnic, feeding ducks...

BUT, if money were no object, I LOVE things like Cirque de Soleil shows, museums in big cities, and amusement parks.

I just saw a documentary about an aquarium in California that has been able to put a Great White Shark on exhibit on and off (different sharks each time) since 2005. They don't have one right now, but are hoping to have another one on exhibit in summer of 2011. HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE!!!???

And, it's JUST how I like my dangerous animals (meaning the shark, not my dates, although...)--me facing them with about 10 feet of plexi-glass in between!!! I LOVE things that because I'm always thinking things like, "God, what gave you the idea for such an incredible species?"

My poor date would have to put up with me reading every single informational board and attending every available presentation as much as possible... Perhaps by the end of the day, he'd feel he was ready to feed ME to that poor shark!! :D
 
HAHA seoulsearch, we have a lot in common. i would do the exact same.
 
Two words. Road trip.

Not exactly first date kind of stuff, I'd think, but here we go.

We leave early fall morning in her Porsche 911 Turbo convertible (Not that my Saturn isn't nice, but...). No maps, no sat-nav, just a new decision and adventure with each fork in the road. A couple of large dark-roast coffees to go. Top dropped, looking at the fall colors. IPod set to shuffle, probably on a 'Mello' playlist...Jon Foreman, Todd Agnew,Jack Johnson, The Cure, Alabama, Weird Al Yankovic... Lunch at some random greasy spoon in some random greasy small town. A stop at the local shops to pick up t-shirts that say we went to a greasy small town and all we got were a couple of t-shirts. She races a couple kids in a Mustang at the Main Street light. We win. She gets a ticket. All is good. We find a bluff overlooking a lake and settle in to watch the sunset reflecting off of the water. She snoozes on the ride home and looks totally at peace. I get her home sometime in the wee hours of the morning and find that, for whatever reason when I get home, I sleep like the proverbial baby.

Or perhaps we could just share a Big Mac combo at McDonalds. I'm getting my own fries, though.
 
a picnic on the beach in the moonlight...and slow dancing...would be my first choice

But rollerskating, touring a museum (love space museums especially), riding bikes, a firing range, hiking, movies, dancing, or just a milkshake at Coldstone would be fine :)

OOOHHHH, a firing range, now that's a cool idea. BUT, I've never even touched a real gun, so my date would definitely have to be patient in teaching me the ropes (and NO, I do NOT mean that in the creepy way that some guys would approach it... "Hey baby... so about my gun..."--trying to keep it as clean as possible in respect for CC, but you know some of the lines we women hear!!)

Actually, that would be the whole reason for me wanting to lean about guns and how to handle them--to protect myself from guys who would use that kind of line...

Maybe we need to start a group... "Firearms 4 Christ"...
 
Well, for my last date, I flew all the way to England, visited castles and cathedrals, had a proper cup of brittish tea, ate real brittish fish and chips, got a matching tattoo with the guy and had the most tearful goodbye at the airport. Erm...it was pretty magical. Since I still have that floating around in my mind...it might be a bit tricky to come up with something else. ;)

I would think of my date partner as my Christian sister and not a girlfriend, because it's not a good proper enough term for me. I am fancy and upper-class yet very modest and conservative at the same time. In my dates, my close Christian sister and I would not touch each other much like a lot of other people would, like the less refined people. Of course, this is just what I see as ideal.

I would go out on a picnic with her out in my own private backyard in the house I live in now. There is nothing wrong with it. It's very nice out there. I'd go out on a walk with her around the neighborhood, the trail next to the woods, sit in a neighborhood gazebo and she and I will walk over to my sister's house to just meet with her if she is there. I can show her my tricks on farming techniques and the stuff I've grown out in my yard. I definitely value the outdoors so I think it would be the type of date I would enjoy.

I'd also love a picnic out on the grass where we can eat something with the utmost highest social etiquette and talk a little. I want a lot of sunshine. At a certain point in the day after the sun has gone down, she and I would just gaze out into the deep blue sky enjoying each other's presence at the same time, but not talking. After the sun has set, we just say good night and leave each other.

Reading a book together. I absolutely love reading and just sitting somewhere with my date and reading aloud to each other would be perfect.
 
I would love to play a board game, and watch a movie, and then take a late night walk and look at the stars, or maybe skip all of that and go to an observatory to do some star gazing. :D
 
i would like my date and i to go to a basketball game,hopefully a Lakers or Miami heats game-we'll have court side tickets:) and then after the game we'll just hang out, doing random things....the basketball game is the highlight of the date:)

To take your thought a bit further...I know what you mean, but I think only one day in God's presence would be awful, cause you'd have to leave...I'll take 'Eternity' for $500, Alex...

He would pick me up, and I would be wearing the perfect outfit. In his hand a single red rose and a cute little stuffed teady bear. We would go to Japan and see all the beautiful sakura flowers. Then I would get a kimono and we would attend some really cool festival
