Someone told me its good to be nervous cause then your not relying on yourself but on God. Which is what you want since your dealing with peoples souls!

me? I only speak Norwegian and English, but I'm trying to learn Dutch. (and, being Norwegian, I can mostly read and understand Swedish, and read Danish though I can't speak either)
 
LOL I'm going to start studying Dutch next ye ar and plan a trip to Holland to see the tulips and the windmills. ... :-)
 
Let me know when you start studying it. I'm taking so long with the grammar part I could probably still need loads of help in a year :p
(The thing is, reading it is not terribly difficult , getting the grammar right, is :p)
 
I can't even begin to start reading it. I have an uncle who is Dutch and I'd like to go with him to visit his family.
 
I used to speak french, in gr 7-9 all of my classes were in french. But the grammar killed me, so I dropped out of the french immersion and went back to english. :P
 
yeah, grammar must have been invented by a truly evil person :p

Sara: Many Dutch words are similar to Norwegian, which makes the reading part way easier :p
 
It blows my mind just to look at it. I can read Latin and some Spanish.
