The Holy Spirit is not a 'he or a she' it is merely the 'power of God' as He chooses to express Himself,
as through Jesus Christ - all ONE, all on the same page, all given as a Holy Blessing/gift to us all...
I'm surprised no one touched this post.
The Godhead is not called "Father" for nothing. Both He, and the word Father, connotes God is a male.
And knowing that Jesus is God the "Son", it too implies He, being part of the makeup of God, is male as well.
It would stand to reason that the Spirit of the Father and Son would be as they are.
The Spirit of God is not an it, as reads in Romans 8, but a WHO, WHOM, HE, or HIM.
The Spirit of God is not a thing, blob, liquid, or monster, but a person who is the Spirit of the male God, the Father, and the male God, the Son.
Rom 8:16 The
Spirit itself G846 beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
G846
αὐτός
autos
Thayer Definition:
1)
himself, herself, themselves, itself
2)
he, she, it
3) the same
The above example, is the only time in the KJB that a person is referred to as an,
it, and not as a person.
All the other occurrences are about things, and not beings.
And since we men are made in the image of God and after His likeness, we too are made as a triune being with other spirits in us.
There is God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit/Ghost, and then there are the SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD.
There is a reason why Paul refers to the two apposing spirits in you as an old and new "
man", and
not as an
it or
thing.
And what about the hidden "man", the heart?
Not the same as the Spirit man, but still a man and not a thing.
And the reason why your spirit is referred to as a man and not a thing is because you are not a thing.
The same holds true with God. The reason why the Spirit of God is not an it or thing is because God Himself is not a thing.
I hope that makes sense to you sir.
