Yes, his head got caught in the fork of an oak tree while riding his mule. Then Joab ran some arrows into him and Joab's men finished him off 2 Sam. 18:15. :)
Actually, I think it was his 'hair' that got caught.

The doors of the temple in Jerusalem where covered in Gold..

Who had this Gold cut off the doors and to whom did they give that Gold..
I believe that was Hezekiah. And gave it to Sennacherib king of Assyria. :)
Why did Hezekiah give the gold from the temple doors to Sennacherib, king of Assyria?

No, it looks like his head:

2 Sam. 18:9 "And Absalom happened to meet the servants of David. Absalom was riding on his mule, and the mule went under the thick branches of a great oak, and his head caught fast in the oak, and he was suspended between heaven and earth, while the mule that was under him went on." :)

Oops! Sorry, Deade. I think you're right. The NIV reads "hair," but the KJV reads "head." I like the KJV best!

2 Samuel 18:9 New International Version (NIV)
9 Now Absalom happened to meet David’s men. He was riding his mule, and as the mule went under the thick branches of a large oak, Absalom’s hair(A) got caught in the tree. He was left hanging in midair, while the mule he was riding kept on going.

Who did Jesus nickname “Sons of Thunder” to?
The Brothers James and John.. He changed their sirnames to Sons of Thunder

Mark 3: KJV
17 "And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:"

In what City did the philosophers of the Epicureans take Paul and Silas to the Areopagus to hear the Gospel..
