And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly
agony isn't fear.

you believe God from everlasting to everlasting ceased to be God, right?
do you believe God became God once again? if so when?
or do you believe God is forevermore not God anymore?

He says others don't believe the Bible but then turns around and makes up things about what the Bible says. He believes his made up stories and wonders why we don't o_O

Agony:
-extreme and generally prolonged pain; intense physical or mental suffering.
-a display or outburst of intense mental or emotional excitement:
-the struggle preceding natural death:
mortal agony.

this is how propaganda works. just keep throwing stuff out there, true or not, doesn't matter, then demonize any who disagree.

this is why studyman will not discuss or debate. his stuff only works if he controls the conversation so he can be on the attack and accuse, accuse, accuse.

Has anyone seen an Artist of Stained Glass, that can do this quality of work, or is it a Lost Art form?

I used to go to a Church as a child, with Beautiful stained Glass in every window, of a variety of Bible stories pictured in the stained glass. Not that I want to buy some, it just seems like this art form just DISAPPEARED.

The is a thrift shop that has two HUGE stained glass images of Christ, for sale hear in town. But it would take a LARGE WALL in a Church to mount them. Yes they are antiques, so it seems no one takes the time to make something like this any more.

Thank God for Magenta, to carry it on on a PC.

John 6:
61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. (IOW, don't call Me good, there is one that is Good, that is God)

Where was He before? Was He not sitting at the Right Hand of His Father? And where was He then? Was He not Flesh and Blood, born of a woman, born under the Law??

Did He go to where He was before as Flesh and Blood? Why not?

1 Cor. 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

I do believe God has no beginning and no End, but the Man Jesus did. He was born, and He died. The man Jesus no longer exists, The Spiritual High Priest, the risen Christ, lives. No longer Flesh and Blood like we are. He was "Changed" and became the First of MANY humans who will also be resurrected and changed.

1 John 3:
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

The Works that He did, everyone with true Faith can do. Peter walked on water, Sampson had super strength, Moses changed the river into blood. All powers given them by God. As the Man Jesus said:

John 14:
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. (Not because He was a God, but because He was a Human doing, not His own Work's, but the Work's of God.)

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

What works did He do?

Did He create images of His Father in the likeness of some long haired men's hair shampoo model? Did He reject His Fathers Sabbaths? Did He create His own High Days?

What Work's did He do? His own, or His Fathers?

John 8:58-59
"Very truly I tell you," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I AM!"
At this, they picked up stones to stone Him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.

why did they try to stone Him because of this statement?

"Where the spirit does not work with the hand, there is no art." Leonardo da Vinci

Hi VCO, I found this article about the decline of Stain Glass Art today. Personally I think our daily lives are enhanced by the art that surrounds us every day and especially when it reflects the image of our Creator.

Window pains: stained glass industry disappearing
December 24, 2014 by Deacon Greg Kandra
After a couple of millennia of sustained popularity, the stained-glass industry is showing serious cracks. Declining church attendance is playing a role, as is the growth of nondenominational congregations like Wave that pine for a more modern aesthetic.
Even churches that want stained glass are increasingly evaluating whether it fits in the budget.
Mr. Fridsma says not long ago nearly every project that he worked on incorporated stained glass. Now only about 15% of clients ask for it. He says stained glass may be going the way of the pipe organ.”

i used to build pipe organs for a living. totally relate.
am sure there are a handful of people who still make stained glass, but it's an art that may be all but lost in a few decades.

God tells us we can discern the he type of wisdom someone speaks by the fruit the words causes....let us learn in peace with meekness, gentleness, mercy and without partiality the Truth as taught by God's Holy spirit and confirmed by our renewed (cleansed by the Lambs blood) hearts of flesh.

********
James 3

13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

I have stated and believe and posted over and over that I believe He, the Man Jesus, is truly the Word of God which became Flesh.

He created everything at the behest of His father, including His Commandments. As Prophesied this same Word of God became a human and dwelt among us. It is His Sayings that we are to abide by. HIS Words are life.

How does the scripture you posted erase the prophesy and truth that Jesus became a man.

IS. 53:
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him ( Before Who? Himself?) as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Duet 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

As I said before, it is about whether or not Jesus, in the Flesh, had a victory over sin and death, or if Jesus had nothing to risk at all because He wasn't a man like Moses or Elijah, rather, a God with powers no other human has.

Was He flesh and blood or not? I have posted what the Bible says, but as it is written, "many" who come in His Name, don't really believe He was Flesh and Blood, that He isn't the first Fruit at all.

I believe He had a victory over sin as a human. Not as God.

GOD created everything in the world, long before Jesus ever even entered the picture. GOD took on human form as Jesus Christ, and was born to the virgin Mary.. Jesus was both fully divine AND fully human at the same time. But He was also STILL God..

Jesus, in the flesh as a sinless human AND in the Spirit as an all powerful God, did indeed have victory over sin and death..

Could Jesus have saved Himself and gotten down off the cross? Of course. But that wasn't God's plan for Him. Could Jesus have used his supernatural powers while on earth? YES, and there are many instances where He did exactly that. To name a few, he healed the blind, deaf and lame. Fed 1000 people with only a couple fish and loaves of bread. Raised Lazarus and others from the dead.

If Jesus "had nothing to lose", then why did God send Him here in the first place? Obviously He HAD to lose something (His life) in order to gain eternal salvation for us, and victory over sin and death for He and His Father God.

It is good that someone is still trying to give that art form a little life still. It makes me sad to see it is going away.

Agony:
-extreme and generally prolonged pain; intense physical or mental suffering.
-a display or outburst of intense mental or emotional excitement:
-the struggle preceding natural death:
mortal agony.
an English synonym is 'anguish' ((as NIV reads in Luke 22:44, "and being in anguish... "))

But the LORD was pleased to crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand. As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities.

Yes, "LAMB" of God.

His Word stands,
amen :)

He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.
(Isaiah 53:7)
He is just and having salvation, patient, meek, lowly, and riding on a donkey, upon a colt, the foal of a donkey.
(Zechariah 9:9)
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
(Matthew 11:29)
Now I, Paul, myself urge you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ
(2 Corinthians 10:1)
