Sorry my brother, that isn't accurate. The context is those who were among the believers who departed from the faith. The context of 2 Timothy makes this certain. We can't call those who were never claiming to be of the church apostates. Your definition of apostasy isn't accurate bro. But, I'll buy ya a beer when you come down this way.

Satan led the first rebellion and ALL who are opposed to Christ, both the lost and those who defect are in rebellion......obviously the word takes on an even greater context as applied unto those who APOSTATE <----NOTE....if they go out from us they were NEVER of us.....

The context of apostasy is those who stand off from the truth...that is how the word is generically applied....I am not saying they were saved and then stood off.....I obviously do not believe they were saved and then stood off or away from the truth......

I have really come to believe the culmination of the apostasy is the moment when God sends strong delusion and every man, woman and child that will not receive the love of the truth will be bound to and judged with the beast/little horn/man of sin a.k.a. anti-Christ so called.....notice the use of the word "AND" which ties the two ideas together....too me the following represents the culmination of the apostasy of man under the beast........it is the final straw that breaks the camel's back and is the trigger if you will for God to move in judgment.....IMO

The beautiful thing about the American Constitution, one of the beautiful things, is the first inalienable right afforded every American. Freedom of religion.
In order to be a tax exempt religion one has to voluntarily renounce the separation clause in that same document. And then they may apply for tax exemption of funds raised as a self-proclaimed religion.
The beautiful thing about being free people overall? We are free to never step foot in a UU church such as the one described in the OP.
I will say the title of this thread is misleading. It gives someone the impression it talks about the churches Christians are familiar with and as a blanket statement then imparts our faith spaces are growing more perverted. Not so.
The UU church isn't a Christian church as the OP informs. Maybe a moderator can change the thread title to be more directly informative as to the content of the OP itself.

If they call themselves Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans they are not a true Church of Christ, for Christ would never accept their pagan ways, and their relaxed morality.
A hypocrite is someone that claims Christ, but also acts like the society in which they live, and since America is so involved in fleshy pleasures, worldliness, the pursuit of money, and material things, allows all religions to be practiced there, including the occult, and Satanism, it will eventually affect many people that claim the Holy Bible, and they will view it differently than in the past, for the children are growing up with less morality, and more arrogance, and self exaltation, as time goes on.
The world get worse in the ways of the flesh as time goes on because that is the direction they are going, until the transgressors are come to the full, the falling away of the world in response to the truth that they do not allow it to be preached when the nations come together and say Peace and safety.
Like a child of God grows more Christlike led by the Spirit in time for that is the direction they are going.
Now their high selfishness, and arrogance, and fleshy ways, could cause them to abandon the Holy Bible altogether, and just go by anything they want to go by.
But they will not do this for these reasons, and the new age movement has an interpretation of the Bible based on the occult, and evolution, and acknowledges no personal God, but honors the God of forces, or the power of nature as their higher power, and believe people can still evolve to be greater and spiritual, awaiting the New Age Christ to cause this to happen.
And the time will come that the world will only want to hear the Bible according to the new age movement, and will be the future for this sinful world, and one thing leads to another as their hypocrisy gets worse and worse.
But they will not get rid of the Bible, but they hold unto it in their hypocrisy.
1.The world is afraid of the Bible, and do not want to take the chance of getting rid of it for they fear it may be true, although they have doubts about it.
The Pharisees sent officers to arrest Jesus but they came back empty handed, and the Pharisees said why did you not arrest Him, and they said because no man ever spoke like this man, which Jesus spoke with so much boldness that He caused doubt in the mind of the officers, and they thought we better leave this man alone for He may be telling the truth, and if He is we do not want to be going against God.
And so it is with the Bible they are afraid of it, and it causes doubt in the minds of many people whether it is true or not, but they do not want to take the chance of getting rid of it.
2.The Bible is the most popular book ever, and many believe it is true, and the ones that have doubt might interpret according to their beliefs, for the prejudice interpret it as such, and the occult interprets it as such, and the other religions interpret it according to their religion, and Islam interprets it according to their religion, and say the Quran is the last book of the Bible, which makes the Bible the most misinterpreted book in the history of mankind, for the flesh is involved with many who try to interpret it, and causes many different viewpoints of it, and people dragging a belief that is not part of the Bible, and it becomes their foundation for the interpretation of scriptures.
3.God has to end this sin business on earth one day for He cannot allow people to keep sinning on earth forever, so He is going to allow the world to have their way for a certain amount of time to cause all who do not love Him to follow the New Age Christ, which Satan will be able to influence the world like he has not been able to do in the past, and in the future will be off his leash concerning the wicked.
That is where the new age movement comes in at, for their interpretation of the Bible is of seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils, but it is happening because God is ready to end this sin business on earth, and Satan can influence the world more than he could do in the past.
The new age movement took away the doubt of the Bible with their interpretation of it, for it is about the occult, and evolution, and caters to the flesh to exalt themselves, and there is no God to fear, no God to offend, and religion is about evolving through nature, and Jesus is not Lord and Savior, but a good teacher in the evolutionary process, but not the final teacher, for the New Age Christ is the final teacher.
Satan wants to deceive the world with a false interpretation of the Bible that he could not get away with doing it in the past, for it is the end time, and time for God to have all His children with Him, and put down the wicked.
And the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans is another falsehood to add to that ever growing hypocrisy that occurs more and more as time goes on.
Technology may be wonderful, but it did damage to the world, for they can communicate with each other, and travel to each other, and it causes money, and material things, to flow like a raging river unlike any other time in history, and causes an attitude among people, and that on a higher percentage of people that never occurred in the past.
But without evolution it would not be the end, for technology, and evolution, go hand in hand to why the world rebels against God, for without evolution the people would believe in a higher power, and it would not be the end, and without technology there would be only a handful of people believing evolution if there were any, and the nations would believe in a higher power like it was in the past before technology.
They will not get rid of the Bible, and the devil wants to deceive people concerning the Bible, so there is the new age movement, and the hypocrisy that increases until they get to that point.
And that is why the wicked do not get rid of the Bible which a person would think that is what they would do if they become too wicked, and do not accept the truth, that they would want to get rid of the Bible that offends them concerning their wickedness, but they did not get rid of the Bible, but they only interpreted it according to the selfishness, arrogance, self exaltation, and wickedness, that increased over time.
And of course they cannot get rid of the Bible as long as repentance, and salvation, is still available to the world, and the world will go by the new age movement unified religious system with all religions interpreted that way in the future, but when they accept the New Age Christ they get rid of the unified religious system for they have no need for it anymore, but they still cannot get rid of the word of God but only in their mind, and certainly cannot get rid of it in the truth.

If the UU in question is referring to themselves as Pagan they are themselves stating they are not Christian. Why is this our business? They're pagan. Unitarian Universalists!

Our business is doing the WILL of our heavenly Father. Knowing who/where the enemy is also our business. For every person they recruit to become a member, is one less person that we missed for the kingdom of God.
Your comment is much like having a hose watering your garden while watching the closest neighbor's home burn down in flames. We are accountable for every soul we interact with. How awful for any of us on our way to heaven to pick and choose who we want to go with us. Every soul is precious to God.
