A valid response.....study what it means in Hebrew (IN the process of time) and then you will have your answer, and the above post about Benny Hill was ignorant.....

Am I supposed to respond to what you hypothetically are referring to?

As you can see his question was something to the effect of asking WHO Cain was worried about after he was marked for killing Abel.....and you can see he obviously believes in HOMO SAPIENS being on the planet for some 200,000 years before GOD creates ADAM......the Hebrew expression, in the process of time indicates a significant amount of time and logically deduced conclusions based upon said knowledge indicates WHO he had to worry about....

I didn’t know it meant a significant amount of time, but I did know it was a significant amount of time in order for there to be plenty of other people.

Cain being afraid of people a significant amount of time in the future who might want to kill him is really reaching.

6 day creation, 6000 yr old earth, global flood, why change the story? This is the way it was shown to us. Who are we to match the truth with theology, to make it more believable? Noah's ark , talking burning bush, talking donkey, walls of Jericho, longest day, red Sea dividing? Maybe we should take a lesson from Luke and just report the facts just as they were told.
We have a God who does not know the word impossible.
I personally believe it's adding or taking away from God's word in one way or another. Not that your name would be taken out of the book but it brings harm in the witnessing of God's word.
Job and his friends thought they knew something God kinda put them in there place.

That is not what I said....and seriously....do you have any ability to reason concerning what people say.....!!

The obvious conclusion that the event of the sacrifice, CAIN killing ABEL, etc. ALL happened after a significant amount of time had passed which means the people he would be worried ABOUT were the other SONS, DAUGHTERS and relatives that had been BORN into the HUMAN RACE....geesh man....use your head!

And who would have been Cain's wife, his sister?

I can see that you have no desire for truth, but rather are here to cause division, sow discord and peddle anti-biblical rhetoric.....when you get serious about the bible address me....until then, don't waste my time........end of story!

Exactly, since I threw the word 'if' in there for those that are struggling for accepting scripture as it is written. There are those that attempt to write their own narrative regardless of what is clearly stated in the bible. I believe that is called wresting with scripture. As for myself I certainly believe each and every word in the bible and that includes the entire book of Genesis. Of course, it stands to reason that Cain married either his sister or perhaps a cousin. I agree with you also that he was definitely concerned about his safety after he killed his brother Abel and God sent him away. At that point, since he was worried, there had to be many others that were alive but all direct descendants of his mom and dad.

"The authority of Scripture? Meh, who cares? We just believe whatever we want these days. Adam being the head of all mankind, from whom we all came? Pffffftttt!!!!! I don't care what Romans 5 says or teaches! I'll rip it out of context!"

"But hey, those JW's? Good people! Who cares what they believe! Just because they have differing opinions, it means squat! But those OSASers? They're going to HELL!!! Plus, I want you all to know I am a Scripture alone believer! That, and Christ was created, and don't you dare judge me! And, the Bible? The OT is invalid, maybe Isaiah is OK. We don't need the OT anyhow!"

Uh-huh.

This is the gist of what professing believers believe these days, and on here of late.

Exactly. There is no need to twist the word of God to validate one's mistaken belief at that doesn't make it true. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Light. I'll go with that flow.

I am dumbfounded as to is it even a question.

If Adam was the first man, And Eve the first woman, Then there is no other answer..

If they were not the first man and woman, then the bible is a liar. Lets all burn them, because they are useless.. Lets eat drink and be merry because this world is all we have.

The evidence for a worldwide flood is everywhere.
You ask, "Can a Christian believe in Noahs flood not being Universal?"

The answer is YES, for the same reason we can believe locusts did not cover the whole world. The Old Testament is about Israel, not Britain, France, Germany, America or anywhere else.
