Galatians 2:20,

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

This could possibly be the most important verse in all of scripture that allows the believer to fully see what happened at the cross.
Even more importantly it shows what happened to the sinner the moment they believed.
You are taken out of Adam, and placed in Christ or Christ in you, same thing. Crucified with Christ in the twinkling of an eye.
Without the understanding of Galatians 2:20 spiritual growth becomes stagnant. It does not mean your not saved or going to Heaven or that you don't love God.
It does mean you are not growing up into Him, or knowing Christ who is your only life, Galatians 2:20.
From the moment we were born and were able to retain some kind of consciousness we have always felt that we have had a life of our own.
We never realized that we were controlled by another, even the nature of humanity that entered in at the fall, Genesis 3:15

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The seed is what you should take note of.
Adam was created a living soul, he did not recieve a spirit-nature until he fell. That nature was the sin-nature, Satan-nature, death-nature, death-life.
That nature came about by a father, in this case the father of lies.
Adam was not possessed (demon possessed) as some suppose, but now Adam had a nature.
That nature is what has been passed on through generations of time.
When Jesus came to set humanity free it was the nature he crucified. All in Adam dead now by the cross. Humanity needs to believe in the resurrected Christ as God's ultimate sacrifice to end the rein of the sin-nature.
Our freedom is knowing Adam is dead, can you see the importance of spiritual growth.
Our minds takes time to catch up with facts.
Serveral very keystone points are brought out in Galatians 2:20.
Paul never minces words and is always very clear. He said the life we live is Christ, he also said we no longer live; Christ lives in us.
Because of the Christ life in you the old sin nature is killed out (all in Adam), and you have a new Christ in you nature.
Sins committed by Christians today come from mind only not spirit, hope you can see at this point that it is imperative that you divide soul and spirit, Hebrews 4:12

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Humanity has been dependant on a nature since it entered in. The sin nature unto death and now the God nature unto life, 2 Peter 1:4

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Do you understand the law was primarily introduced because of the sin nature.
The law was what helped humanity keep the sin nature from taking complete control of humanity, or as Paul said, becoming reprobate. We see what happened before the law with Noah's day, tower of Babel and so on.
The law became an obedience relationship with God and those that kept it, had a God to people relationship.
Spiritual growth comes as you are led by the HolySpirit into the understanding that the moment you believed God birthed in you the life of another, Galatians 2:20.
Footnote: their is nothing wrong with humanities creation, being created in the image and likeness of God. The fall distorted that creation, it was mishandled, misused, abused. but glory to God He has restored back to humanity the very image and likeness of God He intended before creation.

I could be misreading this o.p but I must say brother please don't fall in to this pit fall.
God did not restore man. Under the new covenant we are born again...a new creation...the old is passed away.
Never before has our creation exsisted. Our righteousness is in Christ praise God.
It is appointed to man once to die then the judgement.

I can see why you would say that but the image and likeness we were created in was twisted, distorted at the fall. We have never not been in the image and likeness of God it was being misused by sin. We were not the sinners from the beginning, Satan was. The image and likeness of God was always there. Out of the OP is that all you could relate to, curious? The new creation is Christ in you the hope of glory.

Notice what it says, “I live by the faith of the Son of God (Christ - who He is), who love me and gave Himself for me (the Cross - what He has done). This is why your Faith must be exclusively in Christ and the Cross. This is why Paul says we preach Christ and Him Crucified. Paul also said I am determine to know nothing among you, save Christ and Him Crucified. He also said, “the message of the Cross is foolish to them whom are perishing, but to us being saved, it is the power of God.” Two subjects - Christ and the Cross, i.e., The Finished Work, i.e., The Blood of Jesus.

"Christ and Him crucified" does not represent Christ and the cross; it represents the person of Christ (deity) and the death of Christ (atoning sacrifice). The instrument of Christ's death was indeed a cross, but the important thing is Who died, not the thing on which He died.

By the way, your copy-paste with the capitalized "C" on "Crucified" suggests idolatry. Neither "crucified" nor "cross" warrant capitalization.

Have you ever compared Paul's writing to the teaching passages attributed to Jesus?

“20 I am Crucified with Christ (as the Foundation of all Victory; Paul, here, takes us back to Rom. 6:3-5): nevertheless I live (have new life); yet not I (not by my own strength and ability), but Christ lives in me (by virtue of me dying with Him on the Cross, and being raised with Him in Newness of Life): and the life which I now live in the flesh (my daily walk before God) I live by the Faith of the Son of God (the Cross is ever the Object of my Faith), Who loved me, and gave Himself for me (which is the only way that I could be Saved).

21 I do not frustrate the Grace of God (if we make anything other than the Cross of Christ the Object of our Faith, we frustrate the Grace of God, which means we stop its action, and the Holy Spirit will no longer help us): for if Righteousness come by the Law (any type of Law), then Christ is dead in vain. (If I can successfully live for the Lord by any means other than Faith in Christ and the Cross, then the Death of Christ was a waste.”

“17 For Christ sent me not to baptize (presents to us a Cardinal Truth), but to preach the Gospel (the manner in which one may be Saved from sin): not with wisdom of words (intellectualism is not the Gospel), lest the Cross of Christ should be made of none effect. (This tells us in no uncertain terms that the Cross of Christ must always be the emphasis of the Message.)

18 For the preaching (Message) of the Cross is to them who perish foolishness (Spiritual things cannot be discerned by unredeemed people, but that doesn’t matter; the Cross must be preached just the same, even as we shall see); but unto us who are Saved it is the Power of God. (The Cross is the Power of God simply because it was there that the total sin debt was paid, giving the Holy Spirit, in Whom the Power resides, latitude to work mightily within our lives.)”

“19 For it is written (Isa. 29:14), I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent (speaks to those who are wise in their own eyes, in effect, having forsaken the Ways of the Lord).

20 Where is the wise? (This presents the first of three classes of learned people who lived in that day.) where is the Scribe? (This pertained to the Jewish Theologians of that day.) where is the disputer of this world? (This speaks of the Greeks, who were seekers of mystical and metaphysical interpretations.) has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? (This pertains to what God did in sending His Son to Redeem humanity, which He did by the Cross. All the wisdom of the world couldn’t do this!)”

“21 For after that in the Wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God (man’s puny wisdom, even the best he has to offer, cannot come to know God in any manner), it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching (preaching the Cross) to save them who believe. (Paul is not dealing with the art of preaching here, but with what is preached.)

22 For the Jews require a sign (the sign of the Messiah taking the Throne and making Israel a great Nation once again), and the Greeks seek after wisdom (they thought that such solved the human problem; however, if it did, why were they ever seeking after more wisdom?):

23 But we preach Christ Crucified (this is the Foundation of the Word of God and, thereby, of Salvation), unto the Jews a stumblingblock (the Cross was the stumblingblock), and unto the Greeks foolishness (both found it difficult to accept as God a dead Man hanging on a Cross, for such Christ was to them);”

Paul's writings are what Jesus taught.
Jesus just used more metaphors, parables, illustrations and real life experiences to teach His points whereas Paul speaking mainly to Gentiles made his in propositional truths.

I think you are misunderstanding Genesis 3:15. He will make enemies of Eve's children and Satan's people. Even more specifically, between her Seed (not plural but one specific person- Christ) He will crush your head, and you will strike His heel. If a snake strikes your heel it is possible to overcome that, but if you crush a snake's head you take away his power forever. The bruised heel was the cross- which took away Satan's power forever. Because we are crucified with Christ to live forever- death has no power over us any longer. Genesis 3:15 is the first biblical prophesy of Christ and salvation through Him.
