There are so many times in this life that we are set upon with one trial or another, and they can come from any direction. Even from those we would not expect them to. We can take comfort in knowing that even when all appears lost, God is there for us, and always will be. God will never let us face trials that we are not (with Him) able to overcome, and, through Him, we can do just that if we have the faith to do so.
We are told to rejoice always, regardless of our situation. We are, through prayers, to let God know our desires, and His peace will keep us through Christ Jesus. We are also instructed to learn to be content with such as we have, be it great or small, God is with us and has blessed us beyond what we deserve. We have peace with God through Christ Himself. We are not to be troubled or afraid because the peace God gives us will suffice. God did not create us to fear the world or it's trials!
Through the love of Christ, which is beyond our knowledge, we can be strengthened by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Truly, His love is a precious gift, and it cannot be compared! He loved us so much, He gave His only Son as payment for our transgressions, and He did this while we were still far from Him.
Is it any wonder the Psalmist wrote: "Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord, praise ye the Lord." And wrote: "O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation." If we are afflicted, we are to pray, if we are sick, to call the elders to anoint us and lay on hands and pray over us. If we are merry, we are to sing!
Loving is not an option for Christians, it is Commanded by Christ Himself. He commanded that we love God with all of ourselves, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Neither God, nor Jesus limited their love for mankind, and, striving to live a Christ like life, neither should we. In so doing, we are a witness to both the world and the Church that we are His! The greatest love is the love that a man shows when he gives his life for his friends, and Christ is the shining example for all to see.
"And now abiedth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."
May God bless you and yours.........
