We are only forgiven and sanctified if we walk in the light and meet Gods conditions. Have u not read revelation

I was under the impression Jesus was the only sinless person worthy to be the sacrificial lamb. Maybe God was wrong. As good as you seem to be he could have waited a couple of thousand years.

Jesus was and is the only sinless who talked this earth. He cleanses us continually giving us his righteousness thereby cleansing us as if we haven't sinned IF WE WALK IN THE LIGHT. IF WE TRULY FOLLOW HIM.

The point I am unsuccessfully trying to get you to see is that you and me and everyone actually live in some form of darkness. John is saying the same as I. It is impossible for anyone to stop sinning. While you can point a finger at the LGBT person and say they willfully sin. Jesus could point his finger at YOU and say that YOU willfully sin. Not one person on earth is perfect. Jesus points this out in the Beatitudes.

Yes, and in your mind the things people shouldn’t do happen to be the things you don’t do. In Jesus mind You do things on His list of bad things and justify it being done. Jesus sees you doing the same thing you accuse others of doing. Yet, he still forgives you and asks you to do the same to others. By proof texting John you can’t see the point being made.

Hey all,

I seem to never be on the same page with other Christians when it comes to LGBT issues. I see it as a disgusting sin that brings judgment upon the nations that accept its practice.

I'm always get accused of being judgemental, they say hate the sin not the sinner. However, I want no part of it, I cannot stand to know anyone who is LGBT. When in contact with them and despite becoming purely disgusted and very uncomfortable, I do treat them with respect just like any other person.

They see it as it's just like other sins, agreed, sin is still sin. But, this sin is praised and accepted throughout nations, practiced in communities, and accepted in churches. Would you praise a drunkard? Fight for rapist rights? Fly a flag supporting pedophiles? everyone sins, but no one should glorify it and it is against God's word.
I say love and pray for them. Your views are closer to OT law.

NT has a different take:

Corinthians is written to believers: see 1 Cor 1:2.

1 Cor 6:

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

NOTE: In verse 9 Paul mentions fornicators. Verse 11 Paul say's: And such were some of you. BUT you have been washed, sanctified, justified.

They have been FORGIVEN!

No,you're totally wrong and I don't see how you could say such a thing to a Christian young person. Jesus does not see her as the same. Her sin is under the blood. As long as she continues her walk with Him. A person that is a practicing homosexual is lost in perversion. It is not the same in the least.

She didn't give me that impression. She seems to be against sin regardless of whose sin it is, so I don't think that's a fair assumption.

I apologize.
Having stumbled onto this thread and seeing some theological red flags I took it on myself to make this a teaching moment. I now see there are other issues that need to be resolved and I am just muddying the water.
Please excuse my intervention into this tread. I pray that the young lady finds peace in this matter.

Nothing wrong with a teaching moment. But you need to be certain of what you are saying. No Christian is perfectly without sin,but their sin is under the blood. The situation the OP is talking about,unless I'm wrong, is a practicing homosexual who is in the world and lost. So you cannot compare the two. Homosexuality is perversion and taken very seriously in the Bible,it is a sin against ones own body.

If you call it an attack that is your idea. Did he or did he not say perverted things? Yes, he did. maybe you don't think of it as an inappropriate to mention female anatomy in such a way. Most trolls to that. So if he is a new believer, then help your friend by telling him the truth and a real friend should.

Well, sorry Hillary Clinton, I didn't mean to offend you. Apart from you coming across as an angry snowflake, you're also confused and I feel sorry for you. I don't think you're a troll but there is something definitely not right with you my friend. Nothing I said supports homosexuality in any way (at least not intentionally); my message was clearly against it. If I said something that was not quite right, then point it out in a civilised Christian-like manner, rather than acting like I just stole your milk coupons. I am still learning as a Christian but I am clearly against homosexuality. I'm not sure how you could have possibly gotten my message confused with that of someone who supports it. If I used the term 'mental illness' incorrectly then so be it I will withdraw that comment, but in future, you should just simply point out where someone is wrong and then show them the passage in the bible that proves it rather than turning into an ANTIFA member. Also, showing sympathy to these people is not the same as giving them an excuse. They need saving and just outright attacking people will just push them away from Christianity. You need to calm yourself down because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back. Thus, my advice is that when crap happens make fertilizer.

WE shall see. I am not upset nor angry :) I have said thing very Biblically and called you out on the context of your unbiblical responses. Homosexuality is not a demon, it is an act of sin. If it a demon then those who do such are not to blame the demon is. You may not know it but must of what you have said in context to homosexuality is secular humanism. I just looked at your post from the very first one. You are new as a believer Ok I will impart grace to you on that.

Too many ppl get once and for all delivered of the demon who is the cause. Not always the root but the cause.

All sin is equal. It all kills without the blood of Jesus. There are no special sins.

Mental illness is not just about distress such as anxiety and depression, it also means an impairment of personal functioning, which is exactly what homosexuality is. We are designed to function as intended in the bible and not stick our wangs inside the forbidden cave.
