Answer the 10 questions so that we could get to know one another.

1. What's your favorite color?
2. What's your favorite tv show?
3. What generation are you from?
4. What's your favorite worship song?
5. Name 3 things you like to do for fun.
6. Favorite food?
7. If you won an all expense paid trip for a week...where would you go?
8. What toy did you enjoy playing with as a kid?
9. Share a good memory.
10. Besides Jesus, who inspires you the most from the Bible and why?

1. Light pink or navy blue...I like them both.
2. The Office
3. Millennial
4. "You're Worthy of My Praise" by Big Daddy Weave
5. Reading, puzzles, watching movies.
6. Chicken fried chicken
7. Maybe Alaska or Ireland. I have always wanted to go to Egypt but I'm scared. I hear it's dangerous over there.
8. Barbie and Polly Pocket
9. When we were kids, my brother and I would look forward to the ice cream truck passing by each evening. As we heard it on the street next to the one we were on, we asked grandma and mom for money. Neither of them had cash. The neighbors across the street (who were our good friends and still are) came and told us their grandparents gave them a $20 bill. We told them that that money was for them but I heard the grandma tell them "get them something too." I thought that was really nice of them to do that for us. I lived in a very poor area so $20 in the early 2000s was a lot of money. The funny thing is that we spent all of those $20 on pure ice cream. LOL When my grandma found out she told us we needed to go offer the grandparents of our neighbor friends some. They didn't want any. So 5 kids ate $20 worth of ice cream that one day.:eek::p
10. Peter. The story about him going to Jesus in the water is one I always relate to. Sometimes I feel like I really am walking on water and it feels amazing...then when I remember all the worries of this life I end up drowning! Also, where he denies Jesus three times and then goes back to being a follower gets me so emotional. Peter felt so bad for doing that. Sometimes I feel the same way...especially when I laugh at a dirty joke or say a bad word. I know that I'm not being my best self according to Jesus and it's like I'm denying him too because I choose to do my own thing instead of following his ways.

Well that wraps up my first thread on here. Or is it my first thread? Hmm...
I hope you enjoy it and God bless ya'll. I look forward to reading your answers.

1. What's your favorite color?
Yellow
2. What's your favorite tv show?
Home Improvement. That was the last really good sit-com they ever made. Haven't seen anything to compare since then.
3. What generation are you from?
To borrow a line from another forum member, I'm from the "You can only play video games on channel 3" generation.
4. What's your favorite worship song?
One? Only ONE?! I have 9,802 songs in my music collection - and not just a bunch of songs I dumped in but I don't know what half of them are, this is a meticulously curated collection - and you want me to pick ONE?! (By the way, mentioning music to me is dangerous. I can talk for days straight about music.) :D
5. Name 3 things you like to do for fun.
Music, video games... more music?
6. Favorite food?
Yes. I'm quite omnivorous.
7. If you won an all expense paid trip for a week...where would you go?
If you win a trip THEY usually tell you where the destination is... But probably Switzerland (oh that dark swiss chocolate!) or Israel to see some mountains I've read about.
8. What toy did you enjoy playing with as a kid?
Transformers, especially my prized possession "Headmaster" Transformer.
9. Share a good memory.
Any of the many times my family has all been over at Grandma's (or Uncle Fred's, or Uncle Brent's, or when we all invade a local restaurant) for a family dinner.
10. Besides Jesus, who inspires you the most from the Bible and why?
The woman at the well. When you realize somebody is a prophet you ask the question you most want an answer to. When she realized Jesus was more than ordinary she didn't ask what job would be best, or what her future was going to be, she asked "What is the right way to worship God? My people say we have to go up on that mountain, your people say we should go to their temple... what's the right way?"

8. I don't know if I remember....

9. The times my siblings and I would visit my grandma over the weekend while my dad worked in London. It was fun because she had her house to herself really...so, we were at liberty to watch anything. :D We enjoyed staying over the night...the thrill of waking up to the classic British breakfast...and going out in her garden to pick the apples she would grow...sighs, those were good times.

10. Ruth! She's my namesake and I admire her willingness to follow God's plan for her life. There are quite a few in the Bible...but that's the first one that came in my head.

When I was very young my older brother and I would spend all day playing together... we usually ended up laying on the shelves in the panry hiding and waiting for Mom to bring us a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch.

10. Besides Jesus, who inspires you the most from the Bible and why?
The widow of Zarapath. Her story is a story of faith. The preacher, knowing she had hardly enough meal for her and her son, ask her to make him a little cake first. She did so hesitantly at first. She scraped the bottom of the meal barrel and made his cake. There just so happen to be enough left for her and her son as well. Each day she got up...wondering what she was gonna do...going to the meal barrel expecting to find nothing, she scraped the bottom and miraculously there was enough to supply that days needs. Each day she scraped the bottom of the meal barrel and each day her needs were met. It's the same way with us. A lot of times we may complain because we are scraping the bottom of the meal barrel, but we fail to see our daily needs are still being met. It would be too easy to go along life forgetting how much we need God if our meal barrels were spilling over full....but each day we scrape the bottom it reminds us to thank him for meeting our needs yet again and it brings us back the next day. :)

- When oldest son won his last Junior National Judo Championship and upon stepping off the podium he handed me his medal and said “Happy Birthday Pops!” and gave me a big hug…
- Getting choked up while making a very sentimental speech for my daughter’s Quinceanera… Really touched my heart strings that my blessed little angel had grown into an amazing, intelligent, talented and beautiful young lady (spiritual, religious and still proud 20 yr old college virgin)…
- When my youngest son, after competing at the national level in three different sports in 8th grade made his own decision to not play football in HS so that he could focus upon being a standout wrestler with the plan to wrestling in college… Now in his senior year – his plan is coming to fruition…

Bible Inspiration: Joseph for his unconditional love for his brothers and his people.
David for the story of faith as the underdog and faith in God’s master plan…

6) Indian food, Chicken roast dinner with mash, sweet potato wedges, pancakes 🥞 homemade soup. Mediterranean food

7) Sri Lanka

8) Tiny Tots Tree House, I loved the slide and the dog, putting the dog on the slide haha

9) a friend and I went camping in sheep county - we were falling asleep when we heard a young lamb baa-ing for help, it sounded lost.. it wasn’t getting an answer and sounded scared.. then in the distance an older sounding Bah sounded, and the young lamb baaah back but with hope..and ran towards its friend, they eventually sounded like they found each other, and their baah noises Changed from worry, fear to gladness. It was amazing to witness and I’m sure a God incidence too for us to hear, we were speechless for a change going to sleep that night haha made us think about The Lost Lamb and The Good Shepherd.

10) Stephen inspired me, that even when people chuck stones, to still preach The Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The woman at Bethany also inspired me to choose the right thing over chores.. time with Jesus.
David inspires me to seek the heart of God. And to seek God for forgiveness, not run from Him, no matter what.
Joseph inspired me to make good choices. And to seek God when going through troubles and betrayal.
Daniel inspired me that it’s possible to live for God even when stuck in Babylon and to not cave into pressure from a countries cultural ‘norms’ and that I can still even serve & respect people who live out certain cultures whilst still living for God.

Nice to met you LadyinWaiting. Your ice-cream story made me smile, proper good childhood story that 😊

What do you like about Ireland? I’ve heard it really is greener than England

Wow, Peter went from walking on water to denying Jesus.. yet Jesus loved him and reassured him in a way..” Peter, do you love me?” ... I heard a preacher say that Jesus was offering Peter a chance to undo what he’d said before.. I find that so compassionate of Jesus.. Peter must have felt so awful, cos I’m sure Peter loved Jesus a lot. I’m positive Jesus is working on you, as He is me too. I love that reassurance, He will wrinkle us out and present us all sorted to the Father

5) I love puzzles too, what do you like? I used to do Sudoko a lot, and movies too, what are some of your fave movies? I really wanna see Lion again. Watched a brilliant movie called Breathe, about a guy who pioneered disability rights in England. Cavendish, can’t remember his first name. True story. It’s sad at the end though. But he didn’t let his illness spoil his life, he lived a full life considering! Good movie.

God bless, Enjoy the day
