It is a translation, transliteration with some of it copied verbatim from previous English versions....And this "the above" comes from one that uses a King James, yet goes to the original every step of the way....

Amen,

Hebrew at that time would have been changed, as living for 400 years in a nation that speaks other languages always do.

I remember being told how corrupt all these other bibles were and how i too defended the kjv for many years,

It is so liberating to be freed from this form of idol worship

I still love the king jimmy, it is what i use because i am used to it, but i no longer idolose it.

What book or what bible did god inspire into the hebrew? Using your own example of a greek text being translated to english.

I can't say for certain. Maybe the Lord had His word translated into English at the perfect time in history, foreseeing the greatest revival movement the world has ever seen through English speaking preachers.

God also did not inspire josephs words.. lol

So god did not tranlate jospehs inspired words into hebrew.

He inspired to place what joseph said in the he rew text.

Huge difference

What about all those chinese converts who have come to christ having never seen a king jimmy? Or muslim converts, or converts from other non english speaking nations?

We are not talking about words, we are talking about translating the inspired word of God, huge difference.

If a secular book takes what a hitler said and translated it to english, does that mean that translation is inspired?

Do they need to speak Greek and Hebrew? Nope. The gospel can be preached in any language. I'm not one of those people who think one has to speak English to be saved.

What if we had the "originals?" How would all those people come to Christ?

I hear ya.....It has reached fever pitch.....when men will stand "pastors/deacons" and say that Jesus and Paul preached out of King James bible......it has fallen into the retarded and idiotic category.......

I have always used a King Jimmy to teach, but always go to the original to gain a better grasp of what is being said.....ONE time I stood up and read ONE verse from an amplified bible and you would have though the pits of hell were opened and the demons from hell were coming forth.....I had a man that CONSTANTLY told me that I was teaching exactly what his dad had taught and he supported me greatly....after I read that ONE verse he stood up against me, denounced me and ripped me because I was using some other version instead of the KING JAMES.....

it is like a cult in Arkansas and Missouri........especially within the ranks of Independent Baptist Churches some Missionary Baptist Churches...........I have friends that combat this idiocy all the time

No one is against the English TRANSLATION?TRANSLITERATION <-----we just simply state what it is...........

I'll repost this example then...

In Acts 22 we see another clear example of how a translation can be the inspired words of God. Acts 21:40 tells us: "And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was made a great silence, HE SPAKE UNTO THEM IN THE HEBREW TONGUE, SAYING...". There then follows a lengthly sermon of 21 entire verses preached by Paul in the Hebrew tongue, yet not a word of this sermon is recorded in Hebrew but in inspired Greek. Was Paul's sermon inspired? Undoubtedly. But God also inspired the translation of this sermon into another language.

If no translation can be inspired of God, then how do those who hold this unbiblical position explain all the Old Testament quotes found in the New Testament? They were originally inspired in Hebrew but then the Holy Ghost took these scores of verses and translated them into another inspired language. Not only that, but the Holy Ghost sometimes did not use a strictly literal word for word rendering. God sometimes adds a little more detail or explains further or makes a different application of the original verse to a new situation. This is how God does it and what the Bible itself teaches us about inspired translations.

The point is they were saved without a perfectly inspired word of god

Which destroys every argument you make.

People have been domming to god, and still are coming to god who have never seen or looked at a kjv bible.

I have never made the argument that one needs an inspired bible to be saved. I believe, if one seeks ALL truth and wants to live by ALL truth, then one needs the inspired word of truth.

Nope, still does not work

Keep trying though, maybe one day you may be able to prove your right wirhout having to go out on limbs like this.

But i doubt it.

It still does not answer the language issues, which you continue to ignore.
