Although I was brought up in Long Beach, CÇa. I would go back to Missouri some summers and buck hay, plow the fields, string barbed wire fence, slopped the hogs, and then some……...
I did go to Israel, was sent actually, and worked on a kibbutz in the "lool"" or chicken house. It was not a Missouri type chicken hose, nope, about 300,00 chickens at a time. I also worked in the "assm" or feed barn mixing special feeds for the chickens. It was supported by the Israeli government in experimentation in fast growing them. It was nice. I even managed to teach one of them how to sifón water out of the tanks wen cleaning them without having to "suck" on the hose……….I learned that one from watching Mexicans working on irrigation in Arizona...………...easy-peasy.. 'Nuff of my bragging, now back down to earth. God bless you NB

I grew up in Redlands California, not to far from you. We are from here in Oklahoma where I live now. We migrated to Cali in 65' I was a young buck and as yourself I came back every summer and did the things you talk about, sounded like my life story ha. I have been back and forth living a few times, my last and final move hopefully was in 95' to Tulsa. I live in the bowdunk town of Fletcher population 3 I think maybe haha, they roll the sidewalks up at night.
My kind of town, Fletcher is. My sister, recently passed on in Jesus Christ, lived in Ardmore. I had folks in El Reno. In the AF I was stationed at Altud AFB. And I have others in Lawton. Not bad for not having anyone in Oklahoma until my adult years began.
I am not sure, but I think two singers, country and western, came from Redlands or near there. Jeanie and Janie Black. I knew them slightly having met tham at Cliffie Stone's Hometown Jamboree, along with such notables as Speedy West and Tennessee Ernie Ford...… Yeah, life is weird.
Stationed at Altus, I was invited to Dallas for a presidential reception. I could not attend due to my duties but I am happy I did not because that was when JFK was killed...….life is weird.........lots more weird stuff in my time, but so weird it is uinbelievable. That word is from Biblical Hebrew….
Something from the Hebrew influence in our Word, Jesus. It is foretold our ¨Savior would be called the Branch, just as in the scripture you have shared from Isaiah...in Zechariah I belie also.
Jesus was from Nazareth. The word for Branch is Nazar, what one from Nazareth was called I believe.
Grammatically speaking the text should be translated Blotting out the handwriting to the or of the ordinances that were against us. The clause is in the Dative case and there is a definite article in the Greek in relation to the ordinances being mentioned, which would dictate that the word "the" be used before it when translated. Which makes the handwriting mentioned rather specific.
We should also keep in mind that it is the Handwriting to the ordinances that were against us that were blotted out. Not all of what Moses penned in the Book of the Law was against us. Those that showed us what a life in and with God were not against us. Those which dealt with when we sin were. The clause in verse thirteen" having forgiven you all trespasses" sets the context for what follows. It is those handwriting to the ordinances that dealt with when we sinned that were against us according to the context of the passage. Forgiven of all trespasses having been quickened together with Christ.
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. You got that right. Jesus said it best.
John 5:45
“But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set.
The NIV translation makes it clearer. It says, "our legal indebtedness".
Basically, the condemnation of the law toward us.
Colossians 2:14
having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.

This passage below helps us to further understand the differences between the law and grace. (the ministry of the Spirit)
The Ten Commandments (the law) were "engraved in letters on stone". This says that the TCs are the transitory ministry that brought condemnation and death, which has no glory now. The letter of the law kills. The Spirit of the new covenant gives life.
2 Corinthians 3:6-11
He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, 8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? 9 If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! 10 For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. 11 And if what was transitory came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!
Thats clear thanks well then those sdas who constantly go on about the ten commandments must be wrong then. They were arguing that it was only the books of Moses and writing Moses did that counted as hadnwritng of ordinances that was done away with, not the ten commandments written by the finger of God on those stone tablets. But actually...where is the ark of covenant now with those stone tablets?
Werent they covered in the blood of Jesus?
If the ten commandments were still to be followed today to the letter then we would still have the temple with those stone tablets on display. But those laws were broken many times over!!! They were even broken before the isralites had a chance to hear them.
Now theres nothing wrong with those laws themselves in fact they are very good and following them is not grievous...but Jesus gave two greater commandments and if we follow His ones then we are walking in the spirit...and we have those laws in our hearts.
But even unto this day when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
We do not put any hope in Moses. Our hope is in Jesus Christ, Yeshua, Who is our Teacher.
He has revealed the manner of obeying God in His teaching. He explains how and why and which of the laws will stand while thereremain sun and moor. He does not lie.
Remember kGod considers disobedience as akin to idol worship.
The curse of the law, death was destroyed on the cross. Jesus rendered all of the long list of laws irrelevant leaving only those laws which comprise Love...……..if you believe those laws should be taught againsst, there is something seriously wrong with you understanding and your love.

Yes, that's interesting when some groups try to push the law of Moses onto Moses. As if they were his laws. Moses was a prophet. God gave him the laws to write down. The term the law of Moses refers to all five books of the law. But they are still God's laws, not Moses' laws.
