Isa 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
Isa 6:2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
Isa 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
Isa 6:4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
Isa 6:5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
Isa 6:6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
Isa 6:7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
Isa 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Isa 6:9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
Isa 6:10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
Isa 6:11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
Isa 6:12 And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.
Isa 6:13 But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.

Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about him. Jn.12:41

I will say this much for the moment, John 12:41 was an eyeopener for me concerning this passage, because I always thought it was the Father who was sitting there, not Jesus.

You are right on both counts. Isaiah explains it all best.

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isa 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

40He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

41These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.

All the suffering Job endured. One night while reading this passage, this thought came,
Job was seeing Jesus with the whip marks and nail holes. I believe that.

Hi @Journeyman, how can that be, since His Incarnation was still a future event during Isaiah’s lifetime, as was His death on the Cross and Resurrection, of course?

I don't know how it could be, because the Bible says the sufferings of Jesus were hidden in the scriptures. I've thought about it. Maybe God blessed Job with a future vision of himself. When Isaiah prophesied,

I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting. Isa.50:6,

Is is possible he saw anything along with hearing the word of the Lord? Maybe not. I really don't know.

But I'll tell you what happened to me and it's very weird. When that thought came to me, I was sitting on my couch, reading the passage from Job and the actual thought that popped into my head was..."He's seeing me as I suffered." I was stunned. I wasn't even thinking about the passage that way. Then, while I was wondering about it, I thought of the verse,

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Heb.12:3,

But I also wasn't thinking about the Hebrews verse. Then, for no reason of my own, the Isaiah passage you cited popped into my head and then immediately afterwords, a verse from revelation,

And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power Rev.15:8

Then another thought came into into my head, which was...."This is when I ascended to heaven." It was bizarre. It was like, boom boom boom. Believe me, I know how crazy what I'm saying sounds, but I do believe Job saw Jesus's passion.

Reminded me of

Psalm 18: 6. In my trouble my voice went up to the Lord, and my cry to my God: my voice came to his hearing in his holy Temple, and my prayer came before him, even into his ears. 7. Then trouble and shock came on the earth; and the bases of the mountains were moved and shaking, because he was angry. 8. There went up a smoke from his nose, and a fire of destruction from his mouth: flames were lighted by it.
