King David got into trouble when he was idle (of course, he was suppose to go off to war and didn’t- so, may not apply in your case).
So, it may simply be a “be still and know that I am God” time.
Perhaps God has you on a “slow simmer.”
King Saul sure did get himself in trouble when he didn’t wait for Samuel to show up.
Be careful- don’t run out ahead of God.

Dont be discouraged...when Jesus was going to do a miracle of turning water into wine at the wedding of Canna he wouldnt be rushed. Even when his mother Mary put the pressure on him.
He also was questioned about where he would be at the feast of tabernacles I recall and he said my time has not yet come.
When he did perform miracles at other times he would often tell people not to ket others know because the authorities if they found out would put him in jail and it was true many sought to kill him.
GOd may be thinking of your safety because lets face it many doctors and medical people dont want miracles happening in their midst they would be out of a job, rendering their palliative drugs (which is BIG BUSINESS) ineffective. Merchants dont want people deciding not to buy their idols and stuff.

Yes, it is very hard to wait on God with a fire burning inside you. I feel we have extraordinary times just in front of us. The Elijah movement has already begun and there are people of faith that God will use. Being among family is very hard, when you have a special calling. I was idle for 21 years then I started writing my two books in desperation to share what God has taught me.
I finished the first one in 2013, and added the modern proverbs God gave me in the mission field. I finished the big one in 2014 and had them both copyrighted. I tried to get them published but could afford the "packages" publishers offered. I was believing God for new knee joints as mine were completely shot. They made me check in to a nursing home in Nov. 2015 to get my knees done as they would not do it while I lived alone. By Nov. 2016, I had new knee joints. I heard of the Christian Faith Publishers on a TV ad. A new publishing house in Pennsylvania. I got out of the nursing home and submitted both books. They immediately accepted both of them but I had to have them published one at a time on my fixed income. Both are published and paid off, praise God.
I don't know what God has next for me, but He keeps reminding me of Moses being in his eighties before using him. I still have about seven years before my eighties. I'll pray for you Ricky if you'll pray for me. One thing I know is I could never stop believing because of the road the Lord has brought me down. I have seen His works too much to ever be an unbeliever. I have even received divine healing, and when God uses doctors I heal remarkably fast for my age.

Going back to no. 24, yes I hear you about Jesus saying His time had not yet come, and that goes along with what I believe God has said about me being of the line of John the Baptist. The only hesitation i have with it is the tie to when Jesus told His disciples to wait for 'power on high'. Those all refer to the releasing of the Holy Spirit among men. Being post that occurrence, does it still apply?

And I'm not talking about God miraculously healing my knee et al. I know that kind of thing was never meant to be a health care plan, God meets all my needs in that respect. I'm talking about being used to do for others. And like you said, I've seen to much to ever not know what's capable. But no, I am not going to accept that it's only good in one out of 1,000 opportunities. God wants 10 out of 100, why should I settle for anything less in the effort to fulfill the commission I've been given?
Jesus told about the servants and their talents and how the one who buried his was scorned. But He never mentioned any of them who took their money to the bank and the bank refused deposit. What happens then?

My worry is, a lot of bad things can happen between the spring and the fall. Wildfire can run across a field and kill that acorn before it has a chance to sprout. satan ran like a wildfire thru my soul this past year - like I said, idle hands. It's going to take me a long time to recover from that, and the first step is to understand why God wants my hands idle while He tells the rest of the world to go do something with them.

Well sometimes its like God has a greater glory in store and maybe He's teaching you patience. Or as KJV puts it, long suffering.
Think about it...Lazarus wasnt just healed...he was raised from the dead!
Paul spent what 14 years learning from God before going on his missionary journeys.
Oh yes and Moses was 80 before leading his people out of Egypt.
And sarah was past 90 when she had her first son. Though they had been promised many years before.

If you are faitfhful in the little things, God will give you greater things, on His timing. Give your worries to God and start praying more as every revival was started with so many years spent in prayer. Think about anna and simeon waiting for the Messiah they were praying and fasting night and day. It didnt just happen overnight all that groundwork counts.

Last spring I became 'acquaintanced' with a couple thru a friend on facebook. They had adopted a disabled African boy named Seda. I go thru the Omaha terminal on average twice a month and usually I'm just trying to get out of there and on my way. But once I was drawn to stop for a cup of coffee. And what's on the lid of this cup? The name Seda, the company that made it. So I ask for a couple more, they say sure, and I send them off to this couple.
They loved it. Wanted more. Real appreciative. Sure, I say, next trip thru the airport I'll get some more.
The day I was at the airport, Seda went in for a minor surgery and died from the anesthesia.
Everyone was crushed. Because he had a fair social media presence, the couple wanted to do some fundraisers to support the organization that brought him to them. They started with t-shirts and sweatshirts, and said they wanted to do coffee cups.
So I said hang on, let me run with that. I contacted the Seda International corporation, explained what was going on, and would they be willing to donate Seda branded coffee materials. They said absolutely.
So. Up to this point I'm guessing this is another case of God putting me in the right place at the right time, right? A chance to show a little of His love and generosity for strangers and be charitable towards a good cause. I'm not wrong in thinking that, am I?
Then the walls. Always the walls.
One thing after another after another after another kept pushing the project back until it was too late, whatever momentum there was for this kid had spent it's days and was ebbing. So the decision was made that further work towards the project would be futile and it was scrubbed.
Stymied, stonewalled, and irrelevant.
I want that on my headstone.
They loved it. Wanted more. Real appreciative. Sure, I say, next trip thru the airport I'll get some more.

Does not God say...BE STILL and KNOW that I AM GOD.................Think about how long the time was between the call of Abram to leave his father and the man of FAITH that was willing to sacrifice his only SON of PROMISE......the Abraham that offered Isaac was NOT the same man that was called out as Abram and instructed to leave his father....AND I must point out....Abraham died in FAITH having never realized the promise of a city whose builder and maker is GOD.........

I hear you, and you may be right. But it just seems like it flies in the face of every command to be faithful stewards of our time and talents, to not hide our lamp under a bushel, to go forth and work out our salvation (you know what I mean), and most of all to not have idle hands for satan to then make use of.
Besides, I'm going on 62. Not a lot of time left for that 'one defining moment'. Honestly, I'm surprised I made it this long.

The judgment for the righteous=The bema seat judgment (the judgment seat of Christ...where crowns are awarded for the fruit they bore on earth. 1 Corinthians 9:24-25, 1 Thessalonians 2:19, James 1:12, 2 Timothy 4:8, 1 Peter 5:1-4 ,
So, is God going to cut some slack for those He didn't allow to produce fruit?
