Jesus' tomb was empty.......His flesh and blood put on immortality and inherited the Kingdom of God. We shall do the same.....our flesh and blood shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye. I don't have to understand the science of it but, I do know our physical bodies will die as seeds and a new body will come forth from the ground just like Jesus did.
This and many many others are false doctrines.
Resurrection is only of the spirit, blood/flesh and bones must go back to the earth which shall pass away eventually.

You do not know what it means to have life in abundance, it means that death can not overcome you, not for a millisecond. Believers will follow the example of Jesus and Jesus did not resurrect (spiritually) after 3 days but immediately after His death (many have missed that point in the scriptures). The 3 days and 3 nights thing was to fulfill prophesy but also for the purpose of the gospel. It was the sign of Jonah for a perverse generation and how was the gospel to be preached that Jesus died and resurrected if people could confirm that the body is still in the grave?

Matt 27:50When Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He yielded up His spirit. 51At that moment the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split. 52The tombs broke open, and the bodies of many saints who had fallen asleep were raised. 53After Jesus’ resurrection, when they had come out of the tombs, they entered the holy city and appeared to many people.

Noose, where did Jesus' physical flesh, blood and bone body go?

Where does the caterpillar go? I look inside the empty cocoon/chrysalis yet, I don't see any remains of the physical earthly caterpillar anywhere............... However, there is a beautiful physical butterfly that emerged and flew away. I wonder how that happen....

Like the caterpillar, resurrection is a metamorphosis. The caterpillar is the seed of the butterfly that dies and by so doing it physically becomes a butterfly. Our flesh and blood will die, yet be metamorphosis into a new physical body - immortal and incorruptible, just like Jesus' body.

Thanks be to God! It's His Work and it's marvelous in our sight!

The choice of words used in Heb 10 & Rom 13 can not in any way mean 21st century and counting but the life time of those received and read those letters (Romans & Hebrews).

When did He come? When the new covenant was ratified.

When was the new covenant ratified? At the exact moment these words were written:
Rev 14:
13Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”
“Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

When was that? Not 70 AD but could be late 1st or early 2nd century.
Well, Revelation is not linear and the fall of Babylon is spoken of here and in chapters 16, 17 and 18. All speaking of events yet to happen. You need to join the rest of the preterist and Amillennialist and get an education. giggle.gif

Heavens and earth and all it;s works will pass away. Perhaps you should be questioning where Jesus body and flesh came from, i don't think they are part of the earth's works because His conception is not like any other human being.

The beautiful butterfly doesn't fly to heaven, it being part of the earth's work shall die and pass away.

You avoided the verse (Matt 27) because it is truth and i have explained why the resurrection of Jesus' body had to be.

1 Cor 15 has details of what happens, it is nothing close to what you are trying to say here.

This was an instruction to John "write this;.." , no such thing as linear or yet to happen.

Rev 14:13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”
“Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

John followed the instruction and wrote what he was told at that moment., and what he wrote was "..from now on..". Like it or not, education or not, it means from that moment John wrote those words, not 3 minutes later.

Get real man, John was viewing past, present and future events throughout Revelation. The whole book is very figurative in it's explanations and speaks of events from before Eden to after the millennial reign, many time over. If you run through it with a time stamp, you are going to miss out on the messages.

No one in their right mind can write or give instructions 'from now on' when they mean past or future. Words have meaning and it happens that 'from now on' means from that moment those words are spoken, on wards. We have a combination of other words that would mean past or future that are not 'from now on'. You are the one who needs to get real.

Revelation starts by saying these things MUST SOON take place and the time is near. It is your own understanding that takes it back to Eden and also distant future but of course the real meaning is that those events started (in the spiritual realm) in the 1st century and are still happening today until the end of age.

Noose, none of us are from this Earth - only our bodies are and I know that you already know that.

God is creating a new heaven and a new Earth. We're getting new bodies from the seed of the old.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We beheld His glory - the glory of the only begotten of the Father. He is the first born among many brethren. Jesus is from above from the Father.

It has been said that Jesus had 24 chromosomes - 23 from Mary and 1 from God, the Father. Mary was flesh, blood and bone.

Jesus laid His life down, the life is in the blood.......His flesh and body was broken for us......His blood was shed for us. His flesh, blood and bones were laid in a sepulcher. On the third day, He rose from the dead and His flesh was changed. His physical appearance had changed - people didn't recognize Him until He spoke........

From a caterpillar to a butterfly.......metamorphosis.

Our graves will also be empty, just like Jesus' tomb.........empty. Our mortal bodies will become immortal, corruptible will become incorruptible.

The body is redeemed.
The soul is restored.
The spirit is made alive and awakened.

Of course all you are saying is a lot of nothing.

You and everyone of us are from Adam, Adam was from this corruptible earth, earth and all it's works will pass away.

The idea behind 23 chromosomes from Adam and one from God is not even a lie, it is childishness.

Psalms 78:39He remembered that they were but flesh, a passing breeze that does not return.

We do not know Christ the anointing Holy Spirit of God after the rudiments of this wold or after oral traditions as the philosophies of men .But do know Christ by the working of the Spirit of His faith, the Spirit of Christ that works in us the treasure we have of His power not of or after us .But of Him who creates the rudiments of an creation"Let there be" as our faithful Creator . He has no beginning of Spirit life or end thereof.

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through "philosophy and vain deceit", after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

God is not a man as us.

Can someone explain to me the uniqueness of this gift of speaking in tongues which most congregations in my neighbourhood insist on acquiring? Is it in any way superior to or more edifying than other gifts?
speaking in tongues is the ability to speak other language which some people have a natural ability for as in all gifts

Nobody has a natural ability to work miracles or prophesy. The rest are not natural abilities either.

Then who does have the ability since it has no nature as a beginning?

Is God bringing new revelations as interpretations and therefore new knowledge ?

No one is saying there was were unsaved people. it not the point even though the gentiles that were there hold the gospel in their own tongue and believed in a invisible God not seen.
Do you think God was mocking the believing Jews and Peter who heard speaking in tongues as described in Acts 10?

Is it OK with you if God provokes apostate Jews to repentance?

The immediate context is Acts 10, not Acts 2, so I wonder at the relevance of your question.
