This thread is 3 years and going strong.
You're right about EVERYTHING....
But it's a waste of time.....
:(
You are right it is a waste of time. You can tell how immature some are by the way they write, which is probably why they try and convince you they know so much, through reading the greek and going to seminas for example. But if you don't know what the basis of the new covenant is, how are you going to be an authority on anything else?
Im putting them all on ignore, theres a hard core here who tell you, you are judaisers, legalists, phariseeical etc if you dare to quote the whole bible. Never get anywhere with them, I will move on to more mature debate

You too are double minded

Well I could be wrong, here we go with the silly attacks. I wonder if he even understood what I was trying to say.

Earlier you told me that God would punish his children for living in rebellion and sin.....as a father does his child
I believe I used the word chasten, which means corrections, or training in righteousness. Which is different than inposing a penalty or judgment on someone who committed a crime. (the penalty or judgment of sin is death)

HOW CAN GOD PUNISH, CHASTISE, OR EVEN BRING THOSE SINS UP TO YOU IF HE HAS ALREADY FORGIVEN THEM BEFORE YOU COMMIT THEM
redemptin for sin to free a person from eternal condemnation does not remove the temporal chastening of people and the end results of personal sin. and how you can think otherwise? I just do not undertand

THIS IS A NONSENSICAL ARGUMENT...SURELY YOU ARE SMART ENOUGH TO SEE THAT
Hopefully you rethink what you just said, and realize there is a huge difference between justification from the penalty of sin on an eternal basis, and the temporal chastening of a child who has done wrong. Even an earthly father who adopted a kid who had no home and no hope, removing them from a place where they had no family, no hope and were basically dead, and brought them into their home and gave them hope and a family, still chastens that child when they do wrong. I mean really. come on now!!

According to the way you believe there is absolutely nothing God can or will do with the sins of a Christians
Now your bordering on slander, I suggest you stop seeing what you want to see and see what I am actually saying.

If I commit murder God could say nothing.......after all it was forgiven before I did it

If I commit adultery God would have to look away and say nothing..... after all it was forgiven before I did it

I'm starting to see why you guys love this stuff so much!!!!!

You get the best of both worlds... Do anything you want here on Earth, commit all the sins you want.......die and still go to heaven
Again, You need to stop this nonsense of slandering people If you have no desire to ask them what they believe, then stop. These accusations are in error. I do not believe these things, nor have I insinuated them. I have tried to talk to you in a peaceful annor. But making false accusations like ths will nto get you any brownie points.

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Romans 3:25 KJV

Sins that are past!!!!!!
Why do you destroy context? The thought here is the sins which were committed BEFORE THE CROSS. not my past sns, which were committed AFTER the cross

once again, If jesus did not pay for your future sins, Your lost without hope. because you have no means of redemption. You can NOT pay for your own sin!

DCON was the one who mentioned years, NOT ME.

God lied post 596 and 600

And I am not arguing against the possibility of a believer Becoming unfruitful. I am arguing against it takes many years for a believer to bear fruit

You moved the goalpostd
in responding to me saying you blame decon, you......blame decon. and mention years again, but I moved the goalpost. o.k.

I am against putting any timeframe, pro or con, on bearing fruit and doing good works.

You know I said enjoy our agreement while it lasts...……...lol

If Jesus only died for past sins, the believer must live their life under the law, when you think about it. Paul is adamant they do not. But there is a proviso:

If you are led by the Spirit you are not under law Gal5:18

What does that mean? Could it mean that if you are led by the Spirit you will never commit sin, for you sin in the flesh? If that were true, then everytime the believer commits a sin they are placed back under the law and do not have grace. Which in reality is righteousness of fully obeying the law.
And then Paul tells us that new converts will be seen to be sinners whilst they are seeking justification of their Christianity by faith in Christ(Gal2:16&17) So we really have to try and put it all together don't we. Just quoting an odd verse(I know you do not do that) will never do.
So how do I put all those verses together? I can only refer you to a previous post. The Christian sets out on the path, and though far from sinless they are still being led of the Holy Spirit in the truth of the Gospel message, to live an evermore holy life. So although they have sin, they are not under law but under grace, they have peace. But they can step outside of the true path they should be on, by committing adultery for example. Then the convert cannot say ''everything is fine, I am not under law but under grace, all my sins have been paid by Christ. Now they must come before God and seek forgiveness for their folly, and they will surely receive it, for they are part of God's family. Then, hopefully they get straight back on the path they should be on. The problem comes in a big way if they do not, they keep committing adultery say, their peace goes, their faith starts to suffer, and in the end, for some, the heart can be so hardened it is so difficult to find your way back.
I guess that makes me a judaizer to some lol

I do agree with you.

Here's the problem with the New Covenant....
Nothing was changed...God still requires us to obey Him...

Before (the Mosaic) the law was on stone...
Now it's in our heart (Jeremiah)
However, The law is good,,,or God would not have created a law.
Amen.

DCON said it takes years of growth and maturity for a believer to BEGIN bearing fruit. (see post 596 and 600)

I am against putting a timeframe too, but DCON isnt. See the posts

Saying it doesnt have to take years to bear fruit is not putting a timeframe on anything.

Have you read the posts that I gave you to look at .including 596 and 600 of God Lied?

What was DCON' meaning in those two posts. Go ahead and read them in context and let me know.

I know you already read one. But now you are saying I am lying.

Post 85,052 I replied to my own post and it documents my claim. As do post 596 and 600 of God lied
I should not bite, but for the sake of everyone else

Here is post 596

Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

If after learning this teaching from our Lord you believe the law is abolished and not clarified for all to understand, you are not understanding much. Yes, we do not save ourselves by any action, but this does not mean we harden our hearts to god's will as explained and delineated by Jesus Christ. Hear Himj, and do not pervert His words.

Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Here is post 600

Read and do Christ's teachings, othewise you are simply a magpie repeating just some of the words in the Good Book with no understanding.

Never teach agains obedience, and do not pervert obedience as bing something not taught by our Savior.

Also worhty of meditation:
Mat 5:46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
Mat 5:47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
Mat 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
And here is the post he referenced in the response to me
so. you mention years, and it's decon's fault. o.k.

what if your daughter had did a terrible recital? would you have gave her a hug , kind words, and encouragement ? I strongly suspect you would.

why/ because you love your daughter all the time, because she is your daughter .

God loves true believers because we are His children. His love for us is NOT based on what we do, though , one more time, we should be doing good and bearing fruit.

and, I agree God is pleased when we bear good fruit, but, if we have a season when we do not, we are not tossed out.

so, here is another answer. will you accept it?
As you can see, None of them claim that God can not use anyone, so again this user is trying to draw things which are not there in order to attack other people.

I guess that is the only thing you can do isn't it, ignore what is plainly written and say it isn't in the bible:

The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you,(believers) as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

I wouldn't mind, but if you are going to respond to a post you should at least address the question asked in it
These are not saved people , here is the rest of the Scripture...
Such were some of you ( Before being saved ) but you were washed , but you were sanctified , justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of God...xox...
