I Will Glorify Him In Thanksgiving,
Here the psalmist is lamenting all the bad things that have
happened to Him. He doesn't blame God directly but it is
sort of saying, where have you been Lord. Later on he is
ready to bargain with God by saying He will do this and
that if God helps him. Instead of that scenario, we need to
accept God from the beginning. He pours out so many of
His graces upon us. When we are willing to accept them,
our lives will be much closer to Him and we stray much less.
God doesn't ask us to do anything, He only asks us our
total commitment to Him. I am the Lord your God and you
shall not Gods before me. So when we are proactive rather
than reactive, our lives in Him will be much more fruitful. It's
sort of like building a house. When we do it right in the first
place, we won't need to run around and make repairs later.
