Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
Act 17:10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
We want to hear the word of God from others, and many good teachers of the word of God, but it seems better to read the Bible for yourself, and develop a foundation that way, instead of letting teachers lay a foundation for you.
That seems like it would cut down on the amount of falsehood for many people take people's word for it, and then interpret scriptures that way, and denominations laying a blueprint for people to go by, and then red flags do not come up like they should if they give heed to them.
Which ensnares people in some denominations.
1Co 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
1Co 1:11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
1Co 1:12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
1Co 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
1Co 3:4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
1Co 3:5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
And so it is today, I am of John Calvin, and I of Martin Luther, and I of the Pope, and I of John Wesley, and I of Charles Russell, and I of Joseph Smith.

Amen The Berean's learned that from experience. (Acts 17:11) Hear the word coming from Paul and with the mind of Christ prepared ready to search the scriptures 1 Corinthians 2:16 as the spirit of truth confirms we are children of God Romans 8:16
Study on how we can hear what the Spirit says. He not left us as orphans without directions or interpretation prescriptions. He has given us instructions along with the loving commandment on how to rightly divide so that we can seek after his approval not seen by faith and not man seen walking by sight
