Did I mention some matches go on for 5 days.......erm, oh right, yeah

Ha ha ha, you guys... (I saw part of a game of cricket on a travel show once and have to admit to being thoroughly confused, as was the travel host--Rick Steves--and the young team he was playing was bowled over by the poor guy's apparent ineptitude at their beloved sport...)

So maybe we need to change the question to, "Who Pays When Attending a 5-Month (er, I mean, DAYS, right? Five DAYS? As in, it wouldn't actually seem like 5 MONTHS???) Cricket Tournament?" (Or is it strictly "match"? Sorry...)

(Is this the part where we all arm ourselves with wickets? :))

Sorry, Tim... I'm just kidding... hope I'm not being offensive in any way! England and the UK is on my list of must-see's someday... hopefully they'll still let me in.

Actually... I'll let Nod go first. If they still let her in after she's told them how boring she thinks cricket is, I think I'm absolutely GUARANTEED at least a day pass. ;)

suppose it's best to get it out of the system before coming to europe......certainly be a good test of our forgiveness.......although South Korea are reasonable at football now, so maybe were preaching to the converted...

I appreciate the advice... I will try to hold back any comments about the "beloved pigskin" (dead giveaway for American football, huh...) as I pass through security... (they'd probably take more offense to that than the mention of a bomb threat.)

Actually... NodMyHead has the perfect sense of humor for such a visit, I think? Her general observations of life are spot-on and she's very straightforward about it! :) I always hear that British humor is very dry and to-the-point... I would think they would give Nod her very own show over there! :) (Love ya, Nod!) :p

She'll be a bigger hit than the Kardashian sisters!

Well, I don't like any sports at all, unless they involve high-performance engines and the smell of burnt gas/petrol, so there's only a few select places on the planet that I would be welcome...unless you combine my love of cars with the rest of the world's illogical love of normal people-sports. You do that, and I'd even watch golf.

YouTube - Top Gear - car football - Volkswagen Fox vs. Aygo - BBC
(skip to about 2:50 to see the action)

Wow, just think, then we'll have NodMyHead lunchboxes, NodMyHead workout gear,NodMyHead The 3-D Movie (move over, Justin Bieber!!!), NodMyHead energy drinks ("Keep your head noddin' just like NodMyHead!"), NodMyHead toilet paper... :) Just kidding, Nod. Here's to you getting a big endorsement deal! (And you remembering your friends who suggested it! ):D

Nuke, I suppose your love of motorized vehicles will fit in just fine--I mean, if you start dating a single parent, you could get a turbo-powered, transforming mini-van!! Any potential future offspring would think you were mega-cool, I'm sure. :)

Just my personal opinion!? If I take a single mother out on a date and the kids come along, (Which I don't mind), then I am going to pay, period. Come on, their part of her life too!

But what if no one invited the kids...they just showed up because they're hungry? It seems as soon as food is served, kids show up to eat it...and I don't even know whose kids they are.

When we feed the hungry, we have done it unto the Lord ;)

Something else to think about... If a single parent (mom or dad) is dating you and doesn't have a family member to help care for his/her small children while he/she spends time with you, he/she is shelling out for a babysitter to spend time with you.

If the kids are teens, it's a different story. They might not even want to be seen in public with either of you. ;) Or, in my teen son's case, he's probably out on his own paying for dinner for his true love of the month. :)

How about the NodMyHead Back Hair Shaver? The combination NodMyHead Unibrow Shaver and Lawn Mower? The NodMyHead Bobble Head?

I think the children should pay. Kids have it too easy these days.

Well, that makes two of us who agree that kids should pay for dinner.

Matt 18:19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.

So...I need to head out for my free meal. Hmmm...where would I find kids right about now?
