Who said I don't like you....when you can be honest about what we actually say, honest with the word of God and quit embellishing what we say then I will engage you in a manner that you might like ....until then, you push obedience to the law and commands to remain saved......why won't you answer the following truthfully and in a manner consistent with what you peddle.....OBEDIENCE ...

If the boot fits......see even the above is dishonest.......so let us lay the rubber to the road....you believe obedience keeps you saved....

Were you previously banned for bad behavior.....were you here under the name Fran......?

A simple yes or no will do and prove if you believe what you preach

Remember...OBEDIENCE KEEPS YOU SAVED OR PROVES YOU ARE SAVED BY YOUR OWN DOGMA......!
And I said:

What do you call those you don't like?

Even atheists know everything you've said above.
What does the pastor/priest say when marrying a couple?
He says that they are to remain faithful to one another.
The O.T. and the N.T. teach the same.
So we may not "want",,,,but if you want to be honest, you'd have to admit that we also cannot do this and also call ourselves a Christian.....

As to the idea of our getting chastised and there being consequences and how we lose rewards but keep heaven....

This is a modern-day idea that has no basis in the N.T.
Jesus did not hang on that cross to bring us rewards...He died to SAVE US.

The inheritance is our reward....our reward due to our salvation.
Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Ephesians 1:11-14
In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

Acts 20:32
And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Titus 3:7
So that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

And many more....
Our inheritance is heaven...
not rewards --- although we will get those too.
Our inheritance is a guarantee though, because we have the Holy Spirit inside of us as a guarantee of our inheritance. Not only this, but we have believed the record of God's Son, that the Lord has given. What is that record?

1 John 5:11 King James Version (KJV)
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

Do we believe that record? I do.

1 John 5:12-13 King James Version (KJV)
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

God is not a liar. Amen?

Can anyone tell me how we can possibly take a person seriously when they push obedience to the law/commands of God to remain saved, but cannot even be honest about who they are and or even simply obey the rules of the site they post on?

Amen!

I agree with the above.

1 John 5:11
Eternal Life is in the Son.
IN THE SON.

As long as we believe in the Son...we have eternal life.

1 John 5:12-13
He that HATH THE SON,,,,HATH LIFE.....
He that HATH NOT THE SON.....HATH NOT LIFE.

This is true because the LIFE is IN THE SON.
As long as we BELIEVE (present tense) we have the ZOE LIFE.
Amen.

These things hath John written to us....that we may BELIEVE (again, present tense) on the name of the Son so that we may KNOW and we can BE SURE and SECURE in the fact that IF we BELIEVE ON THE SON....we are saved because in HIM IS THE LIFE.

Agreed?

Last post for tonight.

Got to say this is so boring.
Saying the same few words just demonstrates desperation and a lack of imagination :ROFL::ROFL:

Whats worse is when we are talking theology, and actual positions that are clearly worked out.
Repeating the same, I hate this position and you hold this extreme expression does not work when it
is simply not true.

Why is it, people can claim to know God, and God works through truth and persuasion, some just
want to resort to summaries and abuse. Suggests something is gone wrong in the wiring.....

I noticed, taking vco testimony, point scoring about reflecting Gods glory by action from
us or action from God only creates distraction from fellowship and sharing.

So saying to almost everything, you deceiver works salvationist etc is just wasted propoganda......
Ever hear of just sharing the work God is actually doing in our lives, is actually more real .......
I have no idea what you are writing here about VCO??

But I can tell you this again very clearly...... we who know what scripture teaches that a "saved person means eternally saved" are not the ones with propaganda we are the ones with the TRUTH!

And we do vigorously defend this truth, why you may ask, because we are defending true salvation in Christ Jesus that is apart from any works, merit, and is not based on our sinlessness but on Him, who was able to become our propitiation completely, the debt is paid.

Interesting notion.

Problem is Jesus meant if you believe He can transform you, you will be saved and have eternal life.
It is not just, I am forgiven, but I will be made into a child of God.

Many believe in a transactional sense of faith, God has made things right for me, but not I will
change into something new. Once you see this as the meaning of the verses, pop goes this
if nothing happens I am secure. It is the opposite, if nothing happens, nothing is secure, it is
all empty.

I believe this is the best way to stop DO sins. atleast for me. By DO sins I mean the usual, fornication and things people do they consider regular.

To think about it as MARRIAGE. Would your wife EVER forgive you for cheating on her, if you go to her and say "Well, im sorry i've been cheating on you, i dont really plan on stopping, but if you just keep me around, I will stop gradually and maybe eventually make a break through and oh btw, the other woman is going to be living with us in the same house"

Thats a worldly example BUT its like tearing a band-aid, do it quick and it hurts less.

Its kind of like training camp in boxing: "I cant anymore i cant i cant". But you CAN when you realize that the entire training camp has been useless since you cant make your weight class and cant even compete!

Anyhow. Thats what i've noticed in practical life, I just saw two people mention marriage so all this came to my mind lol.

Bottom line of this message was to encourage anyone who might be struggling with DO sins, my advice is stop it. JUST DO IT as the nike ad says. IT WORKS trust me.
Now if you're struggling with other kinds of sins, spiritual or non-physical in nature, you're outta luck i got no advice lol. Feel free to give me some!

H

I hope you don't mind me asking.

What do you think about how God thinks about you or feels about you?
What do you think about how Jesuyy thinks about you and feels about you?
Sure ask me anything bro

I think God/Jesus has been good to me considering how i've played my cards out in life.

Many people more righteous than me are in worse positions than me. God only knows why.

You can ask me again if I didnt answer properly, as you know english isnt my native language and im wondering if the question is: What do I think Jesus/God thinks about me OR if its what do I think ABOUT how God thinks ABOUT me. Two abouts there :D

Rethink this: Not everyone has time to transform.

if you get saved today, but you wont make it to tomorrow. If you JUST got saved, odds are, you still havent been sanctified that much

I have told you this before when you were Fran,

In Greek time does bear upon the meaning of tense, the primary consideration of the tense of the verb is not time, but rather the 'kind of action' that the verb portrays.

The Greek tenses have no temporal implications, unless the context is something historical for example.

So you have no valid argument here trying to argue that "belief" is connected to the temporal.

Sure its boring for you PeterJens because you and Fran are both in the same deceptive boat -- who gives a wooden nickle what either of you have to say. This conservative Christian forum is for truthful Christians to discuss their opposing views, not for deceptive illegal poster's who lie about their identity, please just go away we do not care what you have to say.

Jesus Christ came here to elevate our life and give us meaning and purpose for living, and restore our relationship with the Father. Both of you have brought this forum to a new low that none has seen here before. Please just admit your true identity and hopefully people will be forgiving to you.

Boring? yes you are extremely boring and we wish you would just fade away.

We are positional sanctified when we are justified, scripture says so......and more good news, sanctified does not mean we are being made good, it means to be "set apart" "the state of proper functioning" to be sanctified is to have that inherent structural flaw fixed upon conversion.:)

The process is learning to live out what has already been accomplished in us, His presence.

"Where are you?" ( Gen 3:9 ). God was not seeking information. He was clarifying to sinful humanity that his presence was now lost.

Sanctification is regaining His presence.

God can only sanctify those whom He has justified.

We pursue sanctification because this is our new identity in Christ.

Be set free:)

If salvation is apart from our transformation, no heaven for you.

SALVATION is not FROM OUR TRANSFORMATION. IT IS FROM HIS TRANSFORMING US.

1 Samuel 10:6 (HCSB)
6 The Spirit of the LORD will control you, you will prophesy with them, and you will be transformed into a different person.

2 Corinthians 3:18 (ESV)
18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Philippians 1:6 (HCSB)
6 I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

IT IS THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD HIMSELF WHO TRANSFORMS US.
