I gave you an example of two dispensations (God's ways of doing things), here it is again...
2 Corinthians 3:6-11 NKJV
[6] who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. [7] But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, [8] how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? [9] For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. [10] For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. [11] For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.
The Book of Hebrews (chaps 1-10) is another example.
Well Crossnote....
Here's how I like to interchange information....
I'm not here to argue, BTW.
You said you gave me an example of two dispensations:
How do you know that I know what a dispensation is?
Mabye I do, maybe I don't.
Also, I like using scripture and will use it most of the time.
But I know what 2 Corinthians says...
Problem is...is it saying the same thing to you?
I've discovered on these sites that two persons could read the same verse and come up with two differing ideas.
So, I like treating everyone with respect, but I don't like to assume that you and I understand something the same way.
To me a dispensation is a breaking away from the O.T. and an acceptance of the N.T.
I don't agree with the above, if this is what you mean.
I've been told to look up stuff on the net...
I don't like learning this way and will only use it to post a link I agree with and explains something really well.
I'm taking time with this because I find this an interesting thread and will probably be here for a while....
If you prefer not to speak with me,,,that's fine too...no hard feelings.
