I understand how you feel, I know I was stuck in the modern time frame of a Gregorian calander world. and I still am what can I do I live in the United States, but no Abraham wasn’t born after the flood. the Bible speaks of his death well before the flood.

Genesis 25
7 Abraham lived a hundred and seventy-five years. 8 Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people. 9 His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah near Mamre, in the field of Ephron son of Zohar the Hittite, 10 the field Abraham had bought from the Hittites. There Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah. 11 After Abraham’s death, God blessed his son Isaac, who then lived near Beer Lahai Roi.
For pity's sake man Abraham was born AFTER the flood!!!! AFTER the flood.

I believe this has the answer you're looking for:https://www.gotquestions.org/star-light.html

When thinking something through I try to look at the overall picture. For example you can't take a verse out of context and expect it to make sense. It's the same way as anything.

When I look at dating methods we use it is concerning bc I think about how different the atmosphere would have to look: dinosaurs, giant insects, etc. How could the results be so accurate when we weren't around to know the oxygen levels, etc?

On top of that certain issues like the oldest tree being 5000-6000 years old is very odd.

I don't think it means much if you believe as taught in school. I guess it's easier to believe a rock can turn living in billions of years though. I guess..

I look at life as a type of dream. We create instantly in dreams. We are "made in the image of God." The outside appears one way, but the spiritual is another. I would rather be scolded in heaven for having too much faith in God's power.

Now where are the flat earth people?! Jk

Read Genesis chapter 4. Early man was not building walled cities like Cain did in another land where there were other people. Neither was early man making tents v20. Early men were hunter-gatherers, but Cain was a farmer and Able was a shepherd. Neither did cavemen make musical instruments like the harp and organ and verse 22 tells us they were working in brass and iron. This is the bronze age, not too far removed from our own.

Read the Bible for goodness sake.[/QUOTE

You need to prove that the ages exposed in the table of times are not correct, item by item, with numbers evidently, and not with disconnected ramblings and fables. I await your reply to learn from you.

Here goes:

Adam lived …..................................................130 yrs and begat Seth
Seth lived .......................................................105 yrs and begat Enosh;
Enosh lived .......................................................90 yrs and begat Kenan;
Kenan lived........................................................70 yrs and begat Mahalalel;
Mahalalel lived ...............................................65 yrs and begat Jared;
Jared lived ......................................................162 yrs and begat Enoch;
Enoch lived ......................................................65 yrs and begat Methuselah;
Methuselah lived.........................................187 yrs and begat Lamech;
Lamech lived ................................................182 yrs and begat Noah;
From Noah´s birth until the Flood.......600 yrs.
Total of yrs from Adam to the Flood=1,656 yrs.

I work with the Word of God. Notice that the table above is proved by the Word of God, it is not of human theories or human speculations. Let us study the times until our days not by human theories and speculations, but by the own Word of God.

See the table below:

PERIODS OF BIBLICAL TIMES -------------------------------------- DURATION
I - From Adam until the Flood------------------------------------ 1,656 years (as was showed above)
II - From the Flood until Abraham---------------------------------. 427 years
III - From Abraham until Exodus-----------------------.------------ 430 years
IV - From Exodus until king Saul -----------------------.------------ 396 years
V - From Saul until the fall of Jerusalem -----------------.--------. 508 years

The dates you have only relate to Israel. There were other nations already existing.

Your timetable fails because your assertion that one day is 1,000 years to God is built on half-truths and out-of-context statements. Nowhere does Scripture state plainly and exclusively that one day to God is 1,000 years to us.
There is not any half-truth in my post, unless you believe not in the Word of God.

Psalm 90:4 - 4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

II Pet. 3:8 - 8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one Day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one Day.

The passages you cite describe it in parallel with other comparative measures. The principle is that time is perceived by us differently than by God.
That is exactly what is exposed in the Time Table of my post. God counts times different of us, of course. One Day with the Lord is as thousand years and a thousand years as one Day. Really is very very different.

The dates in the Bible are correct going back to Adam, but there is a gap of millions of years between the Adam's family and the creation of the earth.

Usshers chronology dates the Flood to 2348 b.c.
I think that the Time table I have posted in accord the Holy Scriptures is more precise.

In accord biblical Chronology, we can number the days from Adam until the Flood, beginning in Genesis chap. 5, as follow:

Adam lived ….....................................................130 yrs and begat Seth
Seth lived ..........................................................105 yrs and begat Enosh;
Enosh lived ..........................................................90 yrs and begat Kenan;
Kenan lived...........................................................70 yrs and begat Mahalalel;
Mahalalel lived ...................................................65 yrs and begat Jared;
Jared lived ...........................................................162 yrs and begat Enoch;
Enoch lived ...........................................................65 yrs and begat Methuselah;
Methuselah lived..............................................187 yrs and begat Lamech;
Lamech lived .....................................................182 yrs and begat Noah;
From Noah´s birth until the Flood............600 yrs.

Total of yrs from Adam to the Flood =...1,656 yrs.

Turn down the rhetoric and make at least a half-hearted effort to understand what I wrote.

When you try to argue that one day to the Lord is 1,000 years to us, you're promoting half-truth, because you are ignoring the other half of the verse. You posted them yourself: if a thousand years are as a watch in the night, they aren't the same as a day. If 1,000 years to the Lord are as a day to us, then one day is not exclusively 1,000 years.

These verses are not talking about absolutes, but relative comparisons. They are similes employed to teach us that God is not limited to time the way we are. They are not indications of telescoped history. Indeed they cannot be, because of the fact that the time frames are inconsistent.

If and only if both passages excluded the second comparison, you might have a point. They don't, and so you don't either.

You're fairly new here, so I'll give you some free advice: focus on the ideas rather than the person presenting them. There will be people who disagree with you, but that doesn't mean they don't read, understand, or believe Scripture. They probably have good reasons for their perspective, just as you do.

Do you have any actual facts or evidence with which to refute my claim, or shall I just write this off as a work of rhetorical nonsense, with a healthy dose of ad hominem shaken in for good measure?
That's what I thought.

Please tell us more about your "gift of prophecy" with which you've come to educate us ... I'm sure we'd all be fascinated to hear about it.
Well, some people would be fascinated to hear about it, but other people seem to think that God was just kidding about the spiritual gifts in the New Testament.

Please tell us all about how your gift of prophecy works.... and don't be shy on explaining it's depth and breadth.
For those who have read the New Testament and don't think God was just kidding, there's not much more I can tell.

The gift of prophecy is one of the spiritual gifts, described in Romans 12:6, 1 Corinthians 12:10, 1 Corinthians 12:28, and Ephesians 4:11. It is the gift of understanding and interpreting the divine will and purpose, so having the gift of prophecy allows me to understand spiritual concepts and truths that might confuse others. I choose to use this gift to help people understand the difficult concepts that have confused them.

Strictly speaking, I can't tell you "how" it works (other than in the general sense of spiritual insight); I can only tell you what it does.

Ad Hominem.

I would be making an ad hominem argument only if:
I said something is amiss in the argument BECAUSE there is something amiss in the man.

However, if I merely suggest there is something amiss in the argument AND there is something amiss in the man, and I'm not trying to prove one causes the other... there is no ad hominem.
Incorrect.

The definition of "ad hominem" is: "directed against a person rather than the position they are maintaining." It means, literally, "to the person" in Latin.

You have not brought to bear any facts or evidence to disprove my claims; rather, you have only insisted that they are "rhetorical nonsense" while impugning my character. Thus, the rhetorical nonsense is on the other foot.

The dates in the Bible are correct going back to Adam, but there is a gap of millions of years between the Adam's family and the creation of the earth.
My focus in the TimeTable has nothing to do with the creation of the earth, but with the Lord's Day, the seventh and last Day or seventh and last millennium, the millennium of Christ, and the millennium of Judgment, the Judgment Seat of Christ, and the millennium of Vengeance, and the establishment of God's Kingdom.

Jesus came in the fourth Day (the Greater Light, yes, the Greater Light, - Gen.1:v.16) or around 4.000 years from the beginning of God's PlAN of restoration of all things.

From JESUS (fourth Day) until our days, have passed more two Days or around 2,000 years, totalising 6 complete Days or six milleniums, or around 6.000 years, more precisely 6.018 years, according Christian Calendar pointing the transiction from year 2.018 to 2019.

So, we have entered in the FIRST century of the seventh and last millennium, or seventh and last Day of God's time, that is the Great Sabbath, the Millennium of Christ, the Millennium of Truth, the Millennium of Judgment - the Judgment Seat of Christ - and the Millennium of Vengeance in accord Scriptures.

God Father has already entered in His rest - seventh Day - as He had planned in the beginning of His works, but He is not sleeping, of course, and JESUS already assumed the government not only of the whole Earth but also of the Universe. JESUS is now sat on His Throne, the Judgment Seat of Christ.

The world of Devil is already Judged, and Condemned, and now, in this seventh and last millennium, the world of Devil with all its structures, religious, politic, economic, military, social, cultural, etc., will be punished with strong punishments, yea, strong punishments, there will be only and only punishments in this seventh and last Day or seventh and last millennium, the Day of the Lord JESUS, King of kings and LORD of lords.

JESUS is now sat on His Throne, the Judgment Seat of Christ, to Judge all nations, taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not His gospel, who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the Glory of His Power.

And the kingdoms of THIS WORLD are become the KINGDOMS of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever. (Rev.11:15)

verse 18 says: And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and should DESTROY them which destroy the earth.

I am not sure what you mean? The Biblical dates are correct and Genesis chapter 4 is clearly set in the Bronze Age. However to go further back we would need to consider other earlier nations and dare I say it, geological evidence relation to the age of the earth.
