You need to read scripture about "having the mind of Christ." As for being obedient to get saved. Yes, I absolutely refute that false teaching.
If we could be obedient, we would not NEED SAVED,

They think we are fools. When we just look at reality.

Having the mind of Christ

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Rom 12:2

13 If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.
14 For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.
15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

Phil 4:7-9

Paul is saying we need to put everything we have from Christ into practise.
We are not to live for ourselves by for Jesus.

Is this the mind of Christ you are referring to?

As a saint this is a strange statement.
Saints are saved, they do not need to be set free from sin, they have already
been cleansed and made whole, abiding in Christ and awaiting the resurrection.

you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Cor 6:11

22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.
23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

When I got saved , I was a binge drinker , and every thing that came with it , foul mouthed , drunkard , abusive etc...
Only be reading the Word of God my behaviour changed , my drinking bouts became less and less , today I cannot remember when I was last drunk , hence all the behaviour that came with being a drunk has gone , praise the LORD and thank You Jesus...

We obey when we learn , it is not an immediate thing , some take longer than others...
The Word of God corrects us , it changes us through the teaching and guidance of the Holy Spirit , by Gods Amazing grace , we have been saved...xox...

the likeness of Jesus. It is the hope of glory to which we cling, that He is able to help us
walk and learn and trust Him in all He does as we walk from glory to glory, Amen,

Amen! Not hard to understand. Just hard for works-salvationists to ACCEPT. Their hands are full of their works and they will not let go in order to receive Christ through faith. Some will even try to dance around Ephesians 2:8,9 by saying we are saved by "these" works and just not "those" works and teach that Ephesians 2:9 only applies to "those" works. Yet Paul made it clear that we are not saved by works in general (Romans 4:2-6; Titus 3:5; 2 Timothy 1:9 etc..).

Ephesians 2:8-9 (AMPC) - For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God; Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]

In regards to having been saved by grace through faith, not works, Jesus did it all. (Ephesians 2:8,9) Christ's finished work of redemption is sufficient and complete to save believers. No supplements needed. (Romans 3:24-28) Justification is the work of God in which He accounts the believer as righteous apart from works (Romans 4:5-6; Philippians 3:9). This righteousness is not earned or maintained by the performance of those who have been saved through faith and is certainly not received by unbelievers.

Those who merely "claim" to know Jesus, yet abide in sin/continue in sin/practice sin which means they live a willful, habitual lifestyle of sin with no goal or effort to stop are deceived. 1 John 3:9 - No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

1 John 2:3 - He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. This is what believers are to strive for in their Christian walk and not in order to obtain or maintain salvation, but because we truly have been saved through faith and we love the Lord. Yet "nominal" Christians set out to perform the latter without accomplishing the former and continue to trust in their performance/works as the basis or means of receiving eternal life instead of trusting in Christ alone for salvation.
Amen...more truth rejected by the Cainologists, Pharisees and working for salvation losers...

Grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Develop the "mind of Christ." The HS will help you. But first you must yield to Him.
First he must actually trust Jesus by faith for biblical salvation....his I can earn it through works falls not only flat, but way short.....!!

In my morning devotion today, Paul accounted nothing he had, would ever have as righteousness. The only "righteousness" he claimed was the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Paul's "faith" was what counted, not any works he may have or may do.
Absolutely....Abraham was declared righteous by his faith without and deed/works of the law......the bible is clear....the righteousness of Christ is imputed by FAITH........
