I know this is a singles thread, still many here, maybe the majority have been married.
I married (my first marriage) my childhood crush, Elizabeth Montgomery from Bewitched. They could have been sisters.

Could you please explain the title of your thread? I'm honestly not sure what you're asking us, even after reading the OP.

I think he means 'did you marry someone like your mom or dad, or that looked like someone else'?

or, from the perspective of a wife, did he mean:
Does your wife/husband have traits/qualities that resemble your mom/dad?
Example: Was mom a traditional old fashioned stay at home mom, cooking and cleaning all day, house was always SPOTLESS, clothes always pressed, TIGHTY WHITIES and socks ALWAYS WHITE, dinner always ready on time, treats/snacks readily available, etc............ are those things you expect from a wife?
Flip side: Mom wasn't around, you were left to babysitters or daycares, meals often fast food or frozen? Laundry might get done, but after a few washes no longer looks new? you expect not much from a wife?
As for Dad: Was he a protector and provider maybe close relationship? Or was he distant, not much of a hard worker, spending money on booze etc...........
It has been said that women often marry men that remind them of their fathers.............. and men, even though it isn't said as much, often do the same.
That's my take on the subject line.

I didn't marry someone like my dad either, much as I love him. But I pray our daughter marries a man like her dad (in the strengths at least, which far outweigh his weaknesses).

What a singularly odd question to ask, in the OP. I'm still not sure I understand what you mean.

Marry someone like my dad? According to my dad I'm " a kind of a feminine mini-me, which is scary".

So I'm really not to techy, someone please tell me what "OP" stands for? Cuz when I was a kid OP was the brand "Ocean Pacific" don't think thats what everyone is referencing anymore.
I'm thinking maybe the title of this thread was a typo that was suppose to read "How many of you married your mom or dad"

In this case "original post", though it can also mean "original poster" (as in the thread creator) :).

I married a Baptist lady(twice)who was 1/2 biker, 1/2 cowgirl, and 1/2 hippie. She had been a hermit for 7 years. She wasn't like anyone I knew. The closest I can think of(in both looks and behavior) is the character Jennie from the movie 'Forest Gump.'
