If I want a car can I go to the dealership, place my hand on a car and say, I'm declaring that this car will be mine's RIGHT NOW!

The bible says:

there is power and life in the tongue.

If I tell the mountain to be cast in the sea, it will happen.

When the children of Israel were going through the wilderness, God came near their tents and heard them saying Moses took them in the wilderness to die. God said it will be done just as they have said. And only their children will see the promised land.

How do you guys feel on this matter?
Yes. If I say things according to the Lords will, they will happen, because they are the Lords words not mine.

And the Lord brought creation into existence through His word. Because it is Gods authority and intentions
not ours, we are the vessel not the source. Some teach as if their will is somehow in opposition to Gods will
and that still means things happen. Bit of a mistake when mortal man finds out he is just a mortal man against
the eternal creator. Not a good place to go, a little unfair and very stupid. There is going to be only one winner
and you know it is not you.

Mathew 4:5-8
King James Version

5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in [their] hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Better Question as to WHY we cant? Is the Holy Spirit no longer giving the Gifts listed in the BIBLE.
I think there is a metaphysical aspect most prefer to ignore because of fear. I feel when the Spirit fills me. I even feel body parts heal. I’m pretty sure He even downloads information into my brain. I’m pretty sure most people reading this, doubt it. That’s why the gifts aren’t as prevalent.

Either some vessels are saved but too damaged to be used as conduits for the Spirit , or even if some are conduits, the belief isn’t there to make the power manifest. It’s like the lady who was healed by touching Christ. The power came through Him. And, I think it was in Jerusalem Christ barely could heal anyone because their faith was weak. Same power filled Christ, different faith, different outcome.

Matthew 16:19 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth is already bound[a] in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth is already loosed in heaven.”

whom was Jesus speaking to in context?
Are you referring to mat 18:18 ?
18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

You still paying for your "ticket" to heaven?

As I said if he is paying to board the ship at all then his destination isn't heaven, because if it was he would know Jesus paid the price not only for the meals but for the whole trip.

Therefore your analogy is flawed.
All analogies are flawed.
None are used as all encompasing truths, but rough examples to illustrate a point.
Do you also complain that a lamb is used to point to Jesus??? Show us where Jesus has wool and a tail and walks on all fours.
Any analogy is flawed.

Mine with the fool that passed up a package deal illustrates those that think God has christians as deprived stepchildren, and not the generous Father of the produgal, know not the heart of our generous God.
IOW,You proved the point vividly.
You could not benefit from the dynamic due to policing the nonaplicable.

I noticed how you changed Jesus words to "in this lifetime" instead of looking to the eternal you are stuck to the false beliefs that your paraphrasing Revels.

Matthew 19
28Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, in the new world,b when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfoldc and will inherit eternal life. 30But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

****

The Bible clearly says IN tHE NEW WORLD, YET you continue to claim it's "in this lifetime"

If God's words can't convince you of your errors, my words will fall on deaf ears.
Lets let the bible correct you:
Luke 18
29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
Mark 10
29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

I can see why you resist the goodness of God.

Matthew 18 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
Who Is the Greatest?
18 At that time[a] the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

2 Then He called a child to Him and had him stand among them. 3 “I assure you,” He said, “unless you are converted and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child—this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes[c] one child like this in My name welcomes Me.

6 “But whoever causes the downfall of one of these little ones who believe in Me—it would be better for him if a heavy millstone[d] were hung around his neck and he were drowned in the depths of the sea! 7 Woe to the world because of offenses. For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes. 8 If your hand or your foot causes your downfall, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or lame, than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into the eternal fire. 9 And if your eye causes your downfall, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye, rather than to have two eyes and be thrown into hellfire![e]

The Parable of the Lost Sheep
10 “See that you don’t look down on one of these little ones, because I tell you that in heaven their angels continually view the face of My Father in heaven. [11 For the Son of Man has come to save the lost.][f] 12 What do you think? If a man has 100 sheep, and one of them goes astray, won’t he leave the 99 on the hillside and go and search for the stray? 13 And if he finds it, I assure you: He rejoices over that sheep[g] more than over the 99 that did not go astray. 14 In the same way, it is not the will of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones perish.

Restoring a Brother
15 “If your brother sins against you,[h] go and rebuke him in private. If he listens to you, you have won your brother. 16 But if he won’t listen, take one or two more with you, so that by the testimony[j] of two or three witnesses every fact may be established.[k] 17 If he pays no attention to them, tell the church.[l] But if he doesn’t pay attention even to the church, let him be like an unbeliever[m] and a tax collector to you. 18 I assure you: Whatever you bind on earth is already bound[n] in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth is already loosed[o] in heaven. 19 Again, I assure you: If two of you on earth agree about any matter that you[p] pray for, it will be done for you[q] by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there among them.”

The Parable of the Unforgiving Slave
21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how many times could my brother sin against me and I forgive him? As many as seven times?”

22 “I tell you, not as many as seven,” Jesus said to him, “but 70 times seven.[r] 23 For this reason, the kingdom of heaven can be compared to a king who wanted to settle accounts with his slaves. 24 When he began to settle accounts, one who owed 10,000 talents was brought before him. 25 Since he had no way to pay it back, his master commanded that he, his wife, his children, and everything he had be sold to pay the debt.

26 “At this, the slave fell facedown before him and said, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay you everything!’ 27 Then the master of that slave had compassion, released him, and forgave him the loan.

28 “But that slave went out and found one of his fellow slaves who owed him 100 denarii.[t] He grabbed him, started choking him, and said, ‘Pay what you owe!’

29 “At this, his fellow slave fell down and began begging him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.’ 30 But he wasn’t willing. On the contrary, he went and threw him into prison until he could pay what was owed. 31 When the other slaves saw what had taken place, they were deeply distressed and went and reported to their master everything that had happened.

32 “Then, after he had summoned him, his master said to him, ‘You wicked slave! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33 Shouldn’t you also have had mercy on your fellow slave, as I had mercy on you?’ 34 And his master got angry and handed him over to the jailers to be tortured until he could pay everything that was owed. 35 So My heavenly Father will also do to you if each of you does not forgive his brother[v] from his[w] heart.”

You sure did take it out of context.
He ,Jesus, qualified his statement in the next verse.
WHY DID YOU SKEW THAT????
I hope you didn't intentionally force that out of context.
But how ironic...lol

Both texts are only addressed to the context of Church Discipline by the Elders and back then the Apostles. Not to the Average Christian.
When we take a text out of its intended meaning and apply it in a way it was never meant to be, it becomes false doctrine.

You just twist the Bible to suit yourself.

It clearly says what is received in this lifetime is persecution not false promises of health in these temporary tents that are made to die and rot in the ground.

I leave it in God's hands, for if you don't hear His words clearly, why would you listen to mine?

I begin to question if you even understand your own parable?

I do agree that the journey of eternal life comes after salvation.

However how does the man think he buys a ticket to get on the boat?

Nothing in your story mentions that the price was already paid by Jesus for not only the journey but also the food.

The story itself has flaws, because this life is not a cruise ship heading to heaven

That is the wide road.

The boat heading to heaven and God's kingdom is a life raft fishing people out of the sinking Titanic which hit the huge iceberg of sin.

How many will turn up their noses at the humble life saving craft and yearn instead for the banquets upon the sinking ship?

I do not believe that God has Christians as "deprived stepchildren"

Firstly why are step children deprived?

Secondly, I know I am a beloved adopted child of God.

I have no problems with analogy or figurative language.

What my issue is false promises people make by twisting the Bible.

Jesus suffered on the cross and died for our sins.

How much are you willing to suffer for God's kingdom?

Or are you a plant with shallow roots who will reject God if any hardship is placed on your life?

Does God want us to suffer?

No.

So why then do we suffer?

Because of the sins of evil humanity.

If God told you that you would have to suffer to further his Kingdom, would you take up your cross and keep walking with Him?

Or would you take the wide road and say "Nah God wants me to have an easy life and enjoy the riches of this world. "

Yet what are true riches?

Money and material possessions?

Physical health?

Or it it compassion, loving kindness and wisdom to love even our enemies and those who make us suffer?

Your heart is where your treasure is....is it here on Earth with the material things or in Heaven with God and the people and things He values?

Mark 10:17-34 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
A Rich Man Refuses to Follow Jesus
17 Jesus started to leave, but a man ran to him and bowed down on his knees before him. The man asked, “Good Teacher, what must I do to get the life that never ends?”

18 Jesus answered, “Why do you call me good? Only God is good. 19 And you know his commands: ‘You must not murder anyone, you must not commit adultery, you must not steal, you must not lie, you must not cheat, you must respect your father and mother ….’[a]”

20 The man said, “Teacher, I have obeyed all these commands since I was a boy.”

21 Jesus looked at the man in a way that showed how much he cared for him. He said, “There is still one thing you need to do. Go and sell everything you have. Give the money to those who are poor, and you will have riches in heaven. Then come and follow me.”

22 The man was upset when Jesus told him to give away his money. He didn’t want to do this, because he was very rich. So he went away sad.

23 Then Jesus looked at his followers and said to them, “It will be very hard for a rich person to enter God’s kingdom!”

24 The followers were amazed at what Jesus said. But he said again, “My children, it is very hard to enter God’s kingdom! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter God’s kingdom!”

26 The followers were even more amazed and said to each other, “Then who can be saved?”

27 Jesus looked at them and said, “That is something people cannot do, but God can. He can do anything.”

28 Peter said to Jesus, “We left everything to follow you!”

29 Jesus said, “I can promise that everyone who has left their home, brothers, sisters, mother, father, children, or farm for me and for the Good News about me 30 will get a hundred times more than they left. Here in this world they will get more homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and farms. And with these things they will have persecutions. But in the world that is coming they will also get the reward of eternal life. 31 Many people who have the highest place now will have the lowest place in the future. And the people who have the lowest place now will have the highest place then.”

Jesus Talks Again About His Death
32 Jesus and those with him were on their way to Jerusalem. He was at the front of the group. His followers were wondering what was happening, and the people who followed behind them were feeling afraid. Jesus gathered the twelve apostles again and talked with them alone. He told them what would happen in Jerusalem. 33 He said, “We are going to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be handed over to the leading priests and teachers of the law. They will say that he must die and will hand him over to the foreigners, 34 who will laugh at him and spit on him. They will beat him with whips and kill him. But on the third day after his death, he will rise to life again.”

You know that in a race all the runners run, but only one runner gets the prize. So run like that. Run to win!

Philippians 2:16
and you offer them the teaching that gives life. So I can be proud of you when Christ comes again. You will show that my work was not wasted—that I ran in the race and won.

Athletes in a race must obey all the rules to win.

2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have served the Lord faithfully.

Hebrews 12:1
[ We Also Should Follow Jesus’ Example ] We have all these great people around us as examples. Their lives tell us what faith means. So we, too, should run the race that is before us and never quit. We should remove from our lives anything that would slow us down and the sin that so often makes us fall.

be sure to check the contexts, I don't remember which one I wanted to post because I am just too tired today.
