There is not a single moment in our life where we worship as intensely as we should

If salvation is by works we fall short, may we be thankful that we are saved by grace and not by works
MANY think works are part of it.....<---They make the MANY grouping....LORD, LORD have we not done.....blah blah blah.....they never were saved!!!

I rather hear tennitus than to hear drivel from satan at any day of the week
I have always wondered at each group who turn the "Lord, Lord " into something that supports
their group. The whole sermon on the mount is about transformation into something that is
Gods way, His true, His wisdom, speaking to the heart, being followers who are Gods children.

But to do this we must put Jesus words into action.
But there will be those who presume allegiance and yet have nothing in their hearts and no
knowledge of communion. Their calling will be for example exercising spiritual authority, but
their hearts are far from Him. This will be just as true of those who believe the words but never
opened their hearts and let Him in.

13 The Lord says: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men.
14 Therefore once more I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder; the wisdom of
the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish."
15 Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their plans from the LORD, who do their work in
darkness and think, "Who sees us? Who will know?"
Isaiah 29

4 Men of perverse heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil.
5 Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes
and a proud heart, him will I not endure.
6 My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is
blameless will minister to me.
Psalm 101

1 You are always righteous, O LORD, when I bring a case before you. Yet I would speak with
you about your justice: Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all the faithless live at ease?
2 You have planted them, and they have taken root; they grow and bear fruit. You are always on
their lips but far from their hearts.
3 Yet you know me, O LORD; you see me and test my thoughts about you.
Jeremiah 12

SO you DO believe in the doctrine of perserverance, DC.

IN The last line, Mailmandan confirms the doctrine of "perserverance of the saints" DC. Expand the quote and read the part in red. That is a good summary of the doctrine of perserverance. Now you know what it means. And apparently you believe it, because you liked his post. ;)

Okay, since we are on the subject, "Do you believe that GOD is HOLY Enough, All Powerful Enough, All Knowing Enough, and ALL Omnipresent (Space and Time) Enough, TO have full knowledge of EVERY DECISION, that you will ever make in your entire LIFE, before the beginning of TIME itself?"

2 Timothy 1:9 (CSBBible)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Matthew 6:30 (ESV)
30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Vco, where was that post about having high amount of trust for God and God can even speak "walk" and you or your family just walk, or the time when God told you to step on the brakes and back up and you did without any thought of obeying?

I find these propositions interesting.
If you believe that just knowing who Jesus is, is what saves us, there is an idea that God can take
this moment and make it eternal.

If the whole point is the taking those who come to see the truth, are then empowered to walk in it,
to see love grow in their hearts and change their whole lives through the cross, until they literally
walk into heaven.

The truth of the transformation, being born from on high, the reality of being born of the Spirit,
will show itself over time as the believers heart changes and actions reflect this.
Knowledge and knowing it is not the same as communing with the most High through the power
of the cross, and becoming a new creation.

Wow, you have a good memory. I have not told that story for a long time.

There was no TIME TO THINK TO OBEY that booming Voice, if you are talking about picking up that hitchhiker, if that is the incident you are talking about. If so, He Knew HE would have to YELL AT ME, to get me to obey, before the beginning of time. From 65 mph to a dead stop, with all four wheels screaming all the way to that stop. Just so you know, I did not back up. I sat there Shaking until the hitchhiker ran all the way up to the Car, opened my right hand car door, and asked me if I was stopping to give him a ride. That is why I said, "You get in this car, because GOD just told me to Pick You UP!" I picked him up at Elko, NV. I let him out at Laramie, WY, because he was insistent that he wanted to go to Denver, and then to Mo. I led him to the LORD, I prayed with him, and HE was so impressed with the Dr. John MacArthur Tapes, that we listened to, that I gave him several that I had with me.

So yes, every GOOD DECISION, was one that HE KNEW ABOUT before time began. He knew about the bad decisions too, But, those are mine, and I have repented of everyone I can remember.

Galatians 2:20 (HCSB)
20 and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

That verse is VERY, VERY REAL TO ME.

There is no such thing as surprising GOD with our Decisions.

Mr. M.....I think you are bringing together two separate ideas that are in fact separate

The old man and sin nature are not one and the same

.
The old man is crucified, so that the body of sin might be destroyed that no longer we should be slaves to sin.

When we are born again we put off the old man, the old man is our former position in the first Adam.
Yes, the old man is crucified so that the body of sin might be destroyed (deprived of force and power over us) so now we are able to put off the old man.

Everything we were in Adam #1 is gone. So yes we become a new creation in Christ, located there positionally and judicially.
Agreed. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

When you understand this you will understand why the doctrine of "perserverance" of the saints is not true OSAS but the carnal (as in the flesh) approach to OSAS.
The doctrine of perserverance

Hebrews 3:6- But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. (descriptive statement, not prescriptive, do you know the difference?)

1 John 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. (descriptive statement, not prescriptive. Do you know the difference?)

Is holding fast and continuing in something the same as persisting in it? ...and you do not hold fast and continue to be saved. You hold fast and continue BECAUSE you are saved. Descriptive, not prescriptive. Do you know the difference?

The new man still resides in the body where the sin is ever present, there will always be a propensity for sin in our lives that is just a fact.
We will always struggle and strive with sin, but we don't have to let sin be our master. The Old man has been crucified so that the body of sin might be destroyed, (deprived of power and force over us) ,that we should no longer serve sin. (Romans 6:6)

9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God?.....
11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified,
you were justified
in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Cor 6

20 honour God with your body
1 Cor 6

26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus,
27 for all of you who were baptised into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Gal 3

1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves
be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Gal 5

The yoke of slavery here is to sin, but we are slaves to righteousness.

18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness
Rom 6

14 The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
Gal 5

22 the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.
25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Gal 5

We are children of God, set free from sin, glorying in the work Jesus has done in our hearts and that
we can walk in His ways, empowered by His Holy Spirit, Amen

It is all of God and by the power of God. Regeneration, justification, adoption, initial sanctification, progressive sanctification, preservation, and glorification are all of God and by God.

Grace and peace be multiplied upon the house of Christ.

"IT is ALL CHRIST or it is fraudulent........!!!!! JESUS gets ALL the GLORY!! "

Here is a dilemma. In conversations one can engage with someone to understand their belief system
and then express ideas or theology that addresses their points and puts it into context.

So when someone says "It is all Christ or it is fraudulent" two different readers can understand something
different in the meaning, but the words are the same.

So everything is Christ, His word in our hearts, His Holy Spirit working through us, our obedience flowing
from His transformation of us, and our walking in His ways because of our changed heart.

Now some might interpret saying part of Christs work in our hearts is not part of salvation, it is just
our faith meaning we are saved. Of course this does not work, because unless we are not born again,
filled with the Holy Spirit we are not part of Christ. And if the sanctification of our hearts is complete
at coming to faith, nothing is stopping us walking like Jesus. Of course if we could 100% be like Jesus
from day 1, our language to describe being Holy, pure, blameless would be much simpler.

I think our problem is each walk in individual, and each lesson works at that level. And this changes
the language from it being All Christ, to its all Christ working through our hearts to bring us to glory.
