When you can't find a church you can call home is online good enough?

I moved to live with my mom again, churches are far away and my brother goes to in my opinion a rather strange church that creeps me out so haven't been going with him anymore, so I was wondering if fellowship here is just as good when there's no church to go to....

Thank you I hope to at least keep fellowship online, I hope to find a church to call home but, I know that will take time

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

If we fellowship online with a sincere heart He will be in our midst

As I started to read this thread....... this is EXACTLY the verse I was going to share;)
In my lifetime I have had more fellowship and/or "church" OUTSIDE the four walls than within.................

Are you happy to move back in?
Just wondered as I know things have been difficult for you.

As for church, the ideal is to be part of a church if you can. If you can’t then
online fellowship is better than nothing.

I'm doing good, living with mom has been getting better, got my first raise at my new job, got tax money back so I was able to buy a PS3 and games off eBay(was bugging because had been so bored) and mom pays rent while I take care of food or necessity stuff when I need to so been able to save back money so getting closer to hopefully having an apartment though it's been nice living with mom😃

Hi Joe, I am living most of the year in Mexico. I have been trying to find Christians in the town I live in, and, interestingly, in Mexico, people say they are Catholic or Christian, but they are not the same thing.
I have attended Catholic mass, but it is in Spanish, and my Spanish is weak.. and I don't understand all they Mexican traditions surrounding the service, and the Holy festivals, etc.
I noticed many of the Canadian and American people I have met in Mexico, say they believe Jesus lived, and they believe what He taught, (usually they can only remember the golden rule, or turn the other cheek) but they dont believe He really performed miracles, was resurrected, nor is our Saviour and Judge. Being Christian is a huge committment, lifelong, and it does necessitate sacrifices... and I think that is why people dont' want to believe all the tough stuff Christ taught.
I just discovered this forum. I have been craving interacting with Bible believing Christians. To me, this forum is fellowship with Christians.
So, to answer your question, I think this fellowship is almost as good as going to Church, but, I do miss my Church family in Canada.

Be careful Lolo, many of those Mexican Catholics are full fledged idolaters. I know of many that came out from there warn about that. Like their festival dia de los Muertos. They even build alters to the dead for this. :cool:

Unfortunately most Christians don't see what you see -- many believe that Jesus has already paid for ALL of our sins (future one's included) and so we can sin without feeling guilty.

Some of Jesus' teachings -- in His personal ministry -- pertained only to the Jews, who were still under the Law of Moses. Luckily we don't have to obey all of those teachings, but we have to follow the teachings He gave us through Paul and the other apostles. As you said, it is a huge commitment, but with the help of the Holy Spirit you will see that it is a pleasure.
