They already baptised (mother and son) but the guy isnt as far as I know. Maybe when he was young. So what do you do then. They dont go to my church so..? Why would he listen to me.

Possibly someone had already said that to him so, would repeating it do anything.

Hard to marry if one of you doesnt make any move to be married. Marriage is betwen two people, man and woman who BOTH say yes or agree right?

I dont know of any marriages where only one person wants to be married.

I would not be comfortable at a homosexual wedding, but I would be comfortable talking to a homosexual man outside of a homosexual induction ceremony ritual where incense are being burned to their deity ie Elton John

Sex outside of MArriage is Fornication.

Doesn't need to be a huge ceremony but calls for the commitment to be done before witnesses. You are not married because of the sex. You are married due to the commitment ceremony in front of witnesses.
I don't recall a marriage ceremony in the bible for Adam and Eve, but the bible refers to Eve as the man's wife. I'd argue the consummation makes the marriage.

The marriage that the Holy Bible speaks about is a public declaration that can be documented on paper as a legal contract between an adult man, adult woman, a Church body and the Government, voluntarily and with free consent for all eternity. Therefore it's much more than just "sticking it in"

Is it..where is the first ceremony recorded in the Bible?
I thought it was more of a covenant than a contract. A covenant involved cutting or blood doesnt it?

Elton John is an awesome entertainer though.

A covenant is an eternal contract with Lord Jesus Christ the Final Judge
The thing is, marriage is a contract period. No mention in the bible that marriage is a convenent but perhaps I'm wrong on that. Also, the contract is between God, the man, and the woman and is valid and enforceable until death of one of the consenting parties. If it is only valid until death than it follows that marriage is not an eternal contract, or convenient, or whatever else it may be called.

For the couple you spoke of they should have told the pastor they are in same house but not in same bed. and i know many churches that would marry them .

If you dont repsect each other enough to do committment ceremony then you really shouldnt be together.
Who were the witnesses in the marriage of Adam and Eve? It doesn't even mention in Genesis that they became married but rather it is assumed as such by some. It wouldn't bother me in the least if they were not actually married.

The bible refers to Eve as his wife. So clearly they were married at some point. If any witness were required, it could be God. But as I said before, this is all evidence that marriage isn't about any ceremony, or a piece of paper. It's a covenant written in blood, which is entered into when the marriage is consummated.

I'm with Lady Blue on this one. I think we have a troll here mods. "Therefore it's much more than just "sticking it in"... what's with the vulgar terms for sex? This isn't your first comment like this. smh

Yea langauge please. Keep it clean.

And, meh, not a fan of elton john. Really, there are better wedding singers surely. What about christian wedding songs are there many of those or is everyone subject to a barrage of satans songs about the flesh at weddings.
