I do realize this and I also know his advent is by the power and enabling of SATAN.....the one who will be empowered CANNOT be empowered until HE arises or arrives on the scene......it is all about timing.......and SATAN cannot empower the man if the man is not on the scene.....exactly why he will HOLD that power until it is time for him time relinquish THAT POWER.....
I can certainly speculate if you like.
I'm convinced their messiah will be Jewish, partially Jewish, or at least have credible evidence that he is.
I think we need to look at this in light of what happened right after Jesus' Ascension, where SOME Jews, namely Pharisees and Sadducees persecuted and killed other JEWS, who had accepted their Messiah, and spread His Gospel. We must remember that we have been grafted in to THEM, the True Jews, not the other way around. Obviously I am NOT suggesting we need to follow Jewish Law.
I think a similar scenario will shape up at that time. You will have those CLAIMING to be Jews, but are of the synagogue of satan, persecuting and killing not only other Jews, but Christians as well.

How do they come to power in rome. And become so powrful they can control the earths finances, and not only this, convince the world they are a bringer of peace. So the world grants him use of their armies, their finances, their resources, everything (even Islam evidently grants the jewish people the ability to rebuild the temple. Or at the least. This leader is so powerful. He controls Islam by the sword so they can not stop Isreal from rebuilding this temple)
No matter what kind of Jew he is, I can not fathom the world accepting this (considering how much the world HATES the jewish people)
