I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I can't imagine what that must have been like. Praise God that He had CC for you to come to and find such comfort at that time!! It's amazing what the Lord does for us. He provides in ways we can't begin to imagine. I've enjoyed reading your posts and I can tell that you are now a blessing helping others that come here. Thank you for sharing with us.
I can relate with you in the way of coming during a down season of your life and joining/participating in the chat version first. I'm so glad the Lord was able to reach you and direct you back to Him. I can see how it's become like a family to many.

I actually came to this site probably in 2010/2011. I was in my senior year of college and was really struggling with some things and feeling far from God. I joined this site in hopes to bring the Lord back into my life and get some advice. I was mainly using the chat version. The Lord really blessed me with some great friendships through that. I was reminded of the Lord's forgiveness and love. That helped me greatly. I then visited the site off and on until last September when I felt the Lord wanted me to take a break.
I've come back this time, not for the same reasons, but because I feel the Lord wants me to. Not sure exactly why, but I have enjoyed it greatly and I appreciate the fellowship with so many people across the country and world.
We are blessed!

Awwww I am sorry. I too am lonely,many here have seen that in me without seeing me in person. I have never recieved condemnation from any of these. I have recieved LOVE! It has truly helped just to fellowship.!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏Praying for you to be comforted in the Holy Spirit. Jesus said at His ascention" I will send you another comforter! HE DID! We also have one another!🙏
Jesus certainly did send us another Comforter. Yes, we have one another as we assemble together. I was lonely too when I joined 5 years ago. In fact, the first thread I created was called "Quite Lonely". I believe that God directed me to this site for a reason and it has been a tremendous blessing for me. I pray that the same is true for you also.

I'm was in seminary and I came here looking to discuss theology more. I also wanted to connect with non-Christians, and help them to know Christ.
Within a week, this Muslim guy hit on me, demanding I Skype with him and tell him about Jesus. He became more and more insistent, so I left for a few months. When I returned, I found out I could block him/report him, etc. Then I got into the BDF and learned a lot of things. I also posted a lot, things that I found as I researched the topics. It was good to know I could divide the Word, because I had studied it so much. Not perfect, but definitely able to answer the bigger heresies.
I am not as active now, because I am working on a PhD in theology. I guess you could say CC stimulated my appetite to learn more. I have been on here a long time. Whether I stay away or post a lot, it is always like coming home.
