I can relate with you in the way of coming during a down season of your life and joining/participating in the chat version first. I'm so glad the Lord was able to reach you and direct you back to Him. I can see how it's become like a family to many. :) Thank you for sharing!

I actually came to this site probably in 2010/2011. I was in my senior year of college and was really struggling with some things and feeling far from God. I joined this site in hopes to bring the Lord back into my life and get some advice. I was mainly using the chat version. The Lord really blessed me with some great friendships through that. I was reminded of the Lord's forgiveness and love. That helped me greatly. I then visited the site off and on until last September when I felt the Lord wanted me to take a break.

I've come back this time, not for the same reasons, but because I feel the Lord wants me to. Not sure exactly why, but I have enjoyed it greatly and I appreciate the fellowship with so many people across the country and world.

We are blessed!



I don't think that's a bad thing at all. :) I've popped into the bible forum a few times and it kind of intimidates me a bit. Baby steps. :)

Googled it, needed some distraction from problems I was having when I first joined years ago, made quite a few friends... left for a little while and now I’m back. Apparently God says I’m not finished here so... here I am lol :)

I needed fellowship,inspiration,communication, and a family of God to comfort,care,uplift,and stand with me. I do believe the Lord answered with C.C.

Awwww I am sorry. I too am lonely,many here have seen that in me without seeing me in person. I have never recieved condemnation from any of these. I have recieved LOVE! It has truly helped just to fellowship.!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏Praying for you to be comforted in the Holy Spirit. Jesus said at His ascention" I will send you another comforter! HE DID! We also have one another!🙏

Jesus certainly did send us another Comforter. Yes, we have one another as we assemble together. I was lonely too when I joined 5 years ago. In fact, the first thread I created was called "Quite Lonely". I believe that God directed me to this site for a reason and it has been a tremendous blessing for me. I pray that the same is true for you also.

I'm was in seminary and I came here looking to discuss theology more. I also wanted to connect with non-Christians, and help them to know Christ.

Within a week, this Muslim guy hit on me, demanding I Skype with him and tell him about Jesus. He became more and more insistent, so I left for a few months. When I returned, I found out I could block him/report him, etc. Then I got into the BDF and learned a lot of things. I also posted a lot, things that I found as I researched the topics. It was good to know I could divide the Word, because I had studied it so much. Not perfect, but definitely able to answer the bigger heresies.

I am not as active now, because I am working on a PhD in theology. I guess you could say CC stimulated my appetite to learn more. I have been on here a long time. Whether I stay away or post a lot, it is always like coming home.
