Exploring time in a different dimension.

Is it true that when time stops everything disappears?

For example, in a restaurant taking tea; if time stops, the cup and its contents will disappear, the restaurant and all its fittings will vanish, including the chair that i sit on, the table that i eat on, my flesh and bones will also be no more.

Everything requires time to be what they are; all my feelings and what the brain interprets:
Smell/vision/feel/touch/hearing- the neurons require time (even if in nano second) to fire these inputs to my brain and the output from my brain to respond to them also requires time. So if time stops, i will also not see, hear, feel, respond, talk or even move my lips.

The resulting conditions will be thick darkness and an echoing silence. Trying to move my limbs, but they are not there, trying to speak but my lips and tongue are not even there. I'm definitely stuck.

But isn't this the precise description of death?

Ok how about this one.....like has been proven....The faster one goes the slower time is and when one hits the speed of light time stops....God is LIGHT AND DWELLS in Light....he is the lofty one that INHABITS ETERNITY.....chew on that a bit..... :) He dwells in a permanent state of eternity because he dwells in LIGHT AND IS (BE VERB) LIGHT......

That's ok but it is contradictory IMO.

speed of light - 299 792 458 m / s; you mean if anything achieves this speed then the s will be 0 (time stops)? If s=0 then we have nothing/no existence, exactly my point.

How is it contradictory...God does not dwell in time...he dwells in eternity and in light....both biblical truths....it is equally true that time stops at the speed of light......so...not sure what your beef is and exactly why men need celestial, heavenly, astral bodies (all words used to described a glorified body) to dwell in God's presence....

Matter never ceases to exist....it just changes form!!

What i mean is, if there is such a thing as the speed of light which is a rate (rates have time factor), we can not also have 0 time (time stop) because speed implies rate of displacement and rate of displacement naturally requires time, if time is zero, then there's no displacement but coverage- coverage isn't a rate.

Example: If something covers point A and point B, then we can not say it is moving from point A to B, if it is not moving then it has no speed. Having no speed means time = 0 (time stop).

Ok, let's agree. God is not made up of photons, right?

2 Chronicles 6:1 Then Solomon prayed, “O LORD, you have said that you would live in a thick cloud of darkness.

Psalm 18:11
He made darkness His hiding place, and storm clouds a canopy around Him.

Psalm 97:2
Clouds and darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are His throne's foundation.

Deuteronomy 4:11
You came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, a mountain blazing with fire to the heavens, with black clouds and deep darkness.

Q. How is God light if He is surrounded by darkness?

Death doesn't stop time. Time keeps going. The cells break down. The body decomposes. Bacterial and fungal life flourishes in this stage. The life doesn't end, it just changes form.

But yes, an absence of time is essentially an absence of existence as we understand it.

Life and existence is more than what is visible and i was talking about our own consciousness coz that's where existence is; Bacterial and Fungal life do not flourish in our consciousness.

I suggest a study of "be verbs" and what they mean in Greek..........

This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.

But how do you decide that 'being light' is the real thing and 'being in darkness' is just a 'be verb'?
Q. Do you believe God is made of photons?

The verbiage is totally different and a BE VERB points to state of being....context and verbiage determines position.....God dwells in light and IS LIGHT....and do you really believe that humanities understanding of light is the truth or correct?

The things made are NOT MADE OF WHAT THEY APPEAR TO BE MADE OF........THINK on that a bit

I'm in agreement with you here, human understanding of light is not necessarily true, the reason i don't agree with:

You are trying to compare God being light with the human understanding of light.

If certain particles cannot go faster than the speed of light that it stands to reason that there must also be certain particles that cannot go slower than the speed of light.

Then those are light particles.

I am not comparing God to be anything, but rather STATING CLEAR SCRIPTURE......take it up with God....he is the one that inspired the "be verb" connected to the word LIGHT......and I just stated that humanities understanding if light is skewed....geesh...how about some honesty with what I have said!!!!

This Ddontroversal is a straight shooter, don't mess this man's logical skills. I honestly don't know what you guys are talking about, but it had an interesting title. What you get it all sorted out, can you break it down so a five year old understands what you are talking about?

Not true according to the Bible. The sun and particularly the moon (for Hebrews) were placed in the heavens to mark time.

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years (Gen 1:14).

One day they will disappear, but everything will continue for eternity under the New Heavens and the New Earth.

The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. (Isa 60:19)

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. (Rev 21:22-24)
