My Sweet Lord

I can't say it in a word,
Not even ten,
Or a thousand,
Even a thousand and ten.
You have shown me
The beauty of the earth,
Taken me under Your wings,
And carried me to the mountain tops.
I nestled within You,
Your beauty and Your joy,
Everything You gave me
Since I was a boy.
Now that youth is gone,
Love is deep inside me,
Within Your garments I want to weep,
Beauty, now surrounds me
In my loving heart so deep.
