So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)!' Such was Jesus the son of Mary. It is a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute. It is not befitting to (the majesty of) God that He should beget a son (19:30-35).

And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them.

Both verses are from the quran. The first is a verse that claims to be a statement from The King as an infant (surely an infant speaking is a wonder that only God can do) giving a prophecy about His death and resurrection.

The second verse is concerning the crucifixion claiming that our King was never crucified thus leaving us dead in trespasses and sins and under the righteous judgment of God who will judge everyone of us according to our works. I have sinned and if He has not paid for it then my guilt remains.

The currently held belief by many is that the quran is a true inspired authority given by God to us and supersedes every other authority including the bible. This clears the way and strengthens believers in the quran to leave it alone being that it clearly is not what it claims to be (namely truth).

I would say this is a bit of an exaggeration, like, quite a bit. Muslims believe this, the rest of us, not so much.

What do you mean by "leave it alone?"

The last number I heard was 1/4 of the earth practices Islam. Many of them are destined to salvation and are included in "us" though they may not be counted as of yet. There is a parable of two sons. The father sent both into the field. One said "I go" or yes sir but later did not go. The other said "no" or you do not rule over me I can do what I want, but later went. You never know where someone will be at the end of this thing. Some who now say "Yes Sir" may later not and those who now say "no" may later say yes. Some who now sing "All I am is Yours" have done so in our hearing while thinking evil in His sight. David said "let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your sight. 'Let' is a supplication and gives witness to our position before Him of humility. Even the thoughts and words and doings that we percieve as "good" have to come before a Holy God.

is it me? Or is this thread so cryptic I can't tell if the OP is for Islam and the koran, or for some unknown reason telling Christians on a Christian site that Christianity is true.

Its you. Reread the title for context if the text doesnt speak for itself.
Ah... So you ARE trying to explain to Christians on a Christian site that Christianity is true.

Umm... Carry on, but WE already KNOW that!

In Genesis God created the earth in 6 days and the 7th day He rested.
Do you have to?

Yes,most Christians rest on the 7th day, Sunday, not Saturday. Are you 7th day Aventist, Jewish, something else? Instead of making us guess why not be open and tell us what you believe and why your are here? In the end every other belief will be dead, not just Islam. One day all will bow before God Almighty. Our job to tell the lost about Him in a clear and simple manner. John 3:16 makes it perfectly clear. Let's not complicate it and obscure the way.

I am an eternal being, in love with God and you guys. I have found some things useful and others beautiful and was hoping to share them here. I can stop if you want and go somewhere else.

it means that what I do and say in this life, what I build and what I desire to see here is temporary and based on an understanding founded in time, in contrast to my reality and spiritual makeup of everlasting. My process of reasoning, my opinions, my hopes all are subjected to the temporary. There is a day coming however when death is removed from the equation, all that perishes will no longer. Physics changes, entropy is no more and because of this my understanding of reality and what I can look forward to will as well.

ok i am out ,not entertaining you anymore.I pray God opens your eyes to see .Bye
if you were "out" there wouldnt have been a post. If you had prayed God opened my eyes I wouldnt have known it because you pray in secret to God and preach to man. Its like someone committing suicide if it is truly your desire you wouldn't let anyone know. You were really just being rude and leading a way for others to ignore what Ive said as well.
