Okay, got it. You are saying I am of Cain because I believe one must submit in order to receive the blessings of God. You believe the insistence on compliance as a work of salvation. Am I correct?
I am saying and and all that embellish FAITH with works, baptism, obedience, law keeping, religious hoop jumping and any other type of WORK are peddling a gospel with no power to save and compared to FALSE TEACHERS THAT ARE COMPARED TO THREE MEN in Jude which were false teachers as well.....CAIN BEING ONE WHICH OFFERED WORKS......!!!

Says the man who gives more red X’s Than anyone. I take it you give them because you think they are truth?
I have had those come my way from Waggles quite a bit also. It must be painful to be so negative in the face of Bible truth.

To be "of Cain" was to do evil deeds,

"For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another; not as Cain, who was of the evil one and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother’s were righteous. (NASB) 1 John 3:11-12".

Cain's sin was not the offering of works of merit but his evil deeds. Cain would not comply with God's simple direction,

"If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it" Genesis 4:7

You seem to be implying a road to salvation void of the need for compliance to God's direction. If this is true you are flirting with universal reconciliation theology. Compliance to God's directions should never be labeled as an embellishment of faith. Rehab tying the red cord was not an embellishment but an act of compliance.

Compliance to God's direction is the avenue to God's blessings, not its reward. Grace is the free gift of God but only to those who humbly accept it.

Well from reading your last comments I definitely take back my universalist comment, you most certainly are not.

Chances are I am wasting my time but,

"In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord.4 And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock." Genesis 4:3-4

Both Cain and Abel offered the work of their hands. God accepted Abel's because he complied and rejected Cain because he did not comply. Why does this cause such angst?

On your "Lord lord have WE NO DONE" comment....well here are the verses:

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

It was not that they "did" but that what they did was evil. The need to comply to the will of the Father is still there.

You may think your defence of non-compliance makes you virtuous, it does not. You may think that your "faith alone theology" will save you but it is a false hope. Faith alone theology is as much an idol as the "we are sons of Abraham" was to the Pharisees.

Read Hebrews...Abel offered BLOOD in faith....Cain offered that which came from the cursed ground and is identified and tied to FALSE TEACHERS IN Jude...why do you suppose he is tied to FALSE Teachers in Jude?

And it does matter!!!

Cain a atheist did not believe in a God not seen.(no faith coming from God as a work of Go) . God called him a fool and asked him to do the work of believing as the Holy Spirit works to make it possible and he to would be accepted .Cain killed the messenger (Abel) of the gospel in a hope of out of sight out of mind (natural converted mankind. . if you don't see, its not there....) Cain saw no value in the things of God that were shown to Him .This shows he did not have the Spirit of Christ living in his earthen body of death . He will not be raised to new spirit life on the last day .

Your Hebrews reference does not prove your notion of compliance being an act of merit. Not even sure why you are pushing this line of reasoning. But this is the verse,

"Faith led Abel to offer God a better sacrifice than Cain's sacrifice. Through his faith Abel received God's approval, since God accepted his sacrifices. Through his faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead." Hebrews 11:4

Abel submitted and was commended, he trusted God and obeyed.
Cain rebelled and was warned, he refused to comply to God's direction.

Abel's faith in God compelled him to to "do what is right".
Cain's lack of faith in God led him to "not do what is right".

Merit is not mentioned here. What are you trying to get at with this scripture?
