You are a fresh breath of air as we say over here.

I walk with broken hurt people.
It's my ministry in church.

It breaks my heart to see the hurt and pain.
To see the tears falling from their eyes and snot dripping down from the nose.

It comes from their past experiences, but also from the fact that when I tell them that God loves them as much as he loves Jesus.

Yet many do not believe it.

The past defines the future
May the Lord bless you with great wisdom and discernment as you walk in His love ministering to others.

This is what I have learned......

God will NEVER love our fleshly carnal nature. Oftentimes, it's our flesh that is crying out "God doesn't love me!!" Our flesh will never believe God loves it because it's true - God does not and never will. God is killing our flesh. God will not give our flesh what it wants.

Our flesh can throw some outrageous "pity parties" and "temper tantrums." lol! :giggle:

However, God does love and treasure our souls. It's important to know the difference when someone's broken and contrite spirit (soul) is crying out and when it's their flesh. The soul cries with humility and desperation for God. The flesh is crying because it's not getting what it wants.

God's Love is always there for our souls but, NEVER for our flesh.(y)

Yes, I love the truth too. Yeshua/Jesus is the Truth. He sets us free with His Truth yet, He captures us with His Love. He is forever ours and we are forever His.(y)

One of the biggest reasons Christians wrestle with addictions, lust, pornography, workaholism, etc. is because they do not understand and live in light of the Father's love.
Right, and there is no such thing as struggling with sin for a Christian, only not submitting to the Spirit, for a Spirit led life will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, for they have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

I wanted to give ya a check mark because I agree that this is the way it SHOULD be, but, then, I remember that even the Apostle Paul struggled ........... Still, I do agree that this is what we should be striving to do.

Love is always the answer if you are struggling with any problem, no matter what the problem is. His love is so much deeper than most Christians realize. Instead of focusing on your problem, focus on His love and all else will fall into place ❤️

This is one of my many favorite "snuggle up close with God and hear Him say, "I love you" chapters from the Bible......

Isaiah 43:1-4:

43 But now, this is what the Lord says—
he who created you, Jacob,
he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
(Note: I think this is water baptism)

and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
(Note: I think this is Holy Spirit baptism)

When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
(Note: I think this is the Fire baptism)

3 For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
Cush and Seba in your stead.

4 Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
and because I love you . . .

We love You, too Lord.......(snuggle, snuggle)(y)

Paul did struggle and 3 times he prayed for God to remove the thorn in his flesh but God's answer was that His grace was sufficient for him. He often did the things that he knew he shouldn't while neglecting the things that he should. He sounds like just one of the guys.

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins" 1 Peter 4:8

I'm going to try and share a personal story here without getting into to much detail, yet hopefully explain the point clearly......

A little while back my marriage was having issues. And rather than take the instructions from the above scripture and apply it I often found myself nagging/criticizing my husband over the situations and whining to the Lord about them.
One day while whining (what was suppose to be prayer...) to the Lord, He stopped me and asked:
"Do you love your husband"
Me: "Well of course I do! What type of silly question is that?"
Lord: "No... not do you have butterflies in your tummy and stars in your eyes, romantic love. Do you LOVE your husband?"
Me: "Lord! You know I do!"
Lord: "No! You do not. You do not see him how I see him. You do not love him as I have loved him. You see this as how it is affecting and hurting YOU. But it is hurting him deeply too... and the guilt and the shame it is causing him is keeping him from coming to Me. "
(that's about all of the conversation I can CLEARLY recall right now.....)

SO, the next time things came up it was REALLY difficult for me, and while things were heating up and heading for a usual argument over the matter my heart broke. But not in the way I was use to. It broke as I saw my husband with the guilt and shame surrounding him, and rather than lash out with spiteful words of my own hurt and anger, all I could say to him was (I don't recall the exact words)
that I was mad not at the him for his actions but rather at what his actions were doing to/changing him.
The next time, again rather than lash out, I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, opened my eyes looked at him and said "I love you" and walked away.

NOW, I'm NOT saying that his actions were alright or that I accepted them. What I AM saying is that by covering them with the love of Jesus we were able to begin on the road to healing.

Love is definitely a choice. First Love......... so valuable, so worth holding on to......keep the fire burning, keep the marriage in continual growth and discovery.

The Lord desires for us to stay in "First Love" with Him, too..........

The destroyer of "First Love" is busyness and putting our focus on works and not our lover.....

Take time and focus, linger......

Thank you for sharing Godsgirl83! You chose correctly.......you chose to love......(y)

Father in Heaven, because of Your love, deliver all of us that wrestle with addictions, lust, pornography, workaholism, etc. Shine the light of Your Love on them and break the power of darkness over them, in the Name of Jesus, amen.

We love You and each other. Help us to pray for each other. :)
I see two or 3 kinds of love.
The ultimate is sacrificing for others.

Another is the warmth we feel from another humanoid. It feels real good.

Another is Gods love. Now, God's love surpasses mans love,in that my need for love is met through heaven.
I see some with such need for love. They may or may not find it. How sad for them. It breaks my heart to see a tragedy like that. I used to experience that frustration. (Where the ackolaids of man becomes a fleeting source of worth. A need for affirmation.).

Heaven, like a boxer, has "combination punches",or multifaceted weapons/solutions.

I like the love/death one,or life/death i should say.

This is a dimension of freedom amd wholeness.

It is walking in the spirit and anointing
Where i have no needs.

But wait, without death there is no life.
So,i must EMBRACE DEATH. DIE. Ask heaven to put to death my owm mess i am clinging to. See my ambitions, thoughts, impulses, desires, hopes and dreams utterly destroyed.that mew life and dreams, desires are heavens will for me and building his kingdom become paramout....save the main thing(spending time with Jesus)

Whooooooo weeeeeee..... Let that wind fill your sails and carry you about a million miles....

So,what is love??? Lol

I wrote the following poem in 1988 (unsaved), asking that same question :)

I'm so confused
What did I do?
The Bible says I'm evil.
Have I lived most of my life
In the grips of the devil?

Why was this?
I think I know:
Insecurity had me in it's throes.
Love I was afraid to show
And so I lived in darkness.

But what is evil?
Self esteem?
Following your heart-felt dreams?

Surely God on glorious high
Takes no delight to see me cry.

His love for me I must believe
Because of Him we were conceived;
Love is where I long to be
And so live in His likeness.

But what is love?
Does anyone know
Just what it is
We're supposed to show?

What kind?
How much?
Where does it go?
Who determines our love's flow?

Are we really in control
When sitting at the wheel?
For reason still eludes me
When I think on how I feel.

Are we the same?
Are we to blame?
What forces shape our lives?

Science looks for answers
While our spirits we deprive.
